  1. Are you talking about Pattaya? I just did 4 months there and honestly it was no different to any pre-covid trip (I dIdn't do soi 6-8 or walking street pre-covid so no diference)
  2. Ok, so I guess there will be a 30 June update that Thai Pass no longer required from tomorrow, and another on July 1 to say no longer required from today
  3. It was announced on this forum 8 days ago but...
  4. Must be already in gazette as this is the pop up you get when you open the Thai Pass site https://tp.consular.go.th/home
  5. I personally wouldn't do an overstay as I prefer to keep my clean record of entries But that's me, I also leave on day 59 when I have 60 days stamped, just to be sure no flight issues ????
  6. Why is this fresh news, it was announced ages ago?
  7. No Thailand Pass or covid insurance required from 1 July
  8. Reading this thread 7-11 has been blasted for continuing to ask for masks. Have they, has anyone actually been to a 7-11 today and asked to still wear a mask? 7-11 should file a defamation suit lol
  9. You can do it at the Airport before you check in, costs 250 baht for ATK with medical certificate, result in 15-30 minutes
  10. You don't need an agent to get the 30 day extension or the 60 day covid extension as it's a very simple process of having a passport pic and copies of passport page, entry stamp and TM6 arrival card which you'd need to give to agent anyway (If you're in hotel they should of registered you for a TM30 when you checked in). Cost is 1900 baht each For the extra affadavit for the covid extension I ticked first box for the "...or the pandemic condition of covid-19 is still ongoing." as it is in most countries (I didn't want to make up that embassy refused me a letter by checking box 2)
  11. Geez, a week ago I was never coming back to Thailand until they dropped the Thai Pass, covid insurance and mask mandate...now I have no excuse ????
  12. It's always been that way, have to get 30 day exemption first before covid 60 day
  13. I applied for first covid extension 2 weeks before entry stamp expired, got 60 days from entry stamp, not date of application
  14. Ah, I just learned not to throw out that pink receipt they give you, as there's no other proof ???? I don't get it, I entered on visa exempt 30 days so wrote on the TM30 that my stay in Thailand was 30 days, then did 30 days visa exemption extension, then did 60 days covid extension, never did new TM30...proof TM30 is a waste of time as I just kept showing the first one showing 30 days and stayed 4 months
  15. Multiple IO's at Jomtien have told me no fine if TM30 done within 72 hours, but that's why I arrive on a Friday just to make sure
  16. So you cut out my quote that said it didn't apply to the OP and then post this part to say it doesn't apply to the OP lol OP headline says 24 hours to report TM30, it's not as they allow 72 hours without a fine, so part you quoted still relevant despite your views
  17. I believe you don't need to do a TM30 again if returning on same visa and same address. Either way they actually allow up to 72 hours without a fine. I always arrive on Friday and do TM30 on Monday, no problem
  18. OP's friend is entering on visa exempt, why would they need "Re-entry permit stamp" or "last extend visa", whatever that is
  19. Since you "don't think what occurred in my particular case is all that important", how many visa exempt extensions have you done lately? I've been doing 3 visa exemption extensions per year for 6 years (outside 2020/21) and never needed to copy back of TM6
  20. So why did you think someone on here would have a better answer to what their office gave you?
  21. As I said, never had to copy both sides of TM6 and never made it on separate page, always with the entry stamp so one copy for both (Copy office at jomtien has always done it that way) I wouldn't even think to unstaple the TM6 from my passport so copy is always the Passport page they stapled it to.
  22. I have never been asked for both sides of the TM6, I just copy the entry stamp page which has the TM6 stapled to it In any case, the TM6 is now temporarily pulled from use
