  1. Legally a TM30 is required within 24 hours but unofficially it's 72 hours in Jomtien before they give you the 1600 baht fine. As a condo owner in Pattaya, I need copy of chanote with my name and building plan (so the 2 pages on A3 shrunk down), copy of passport info page, entry stamp and TM6 entry card. It's free. For the 30 day extension you need copy of TM30, passport info page, entry stamp page, TM6 and a passport photo plus 1900 baht fee Hope that's specific enough for you ????
  2. None of the insurance policies are worth anything unless you are unlucky enough to need ICU... Treat it as Thailand 10,000 baht scam entry fee requiring mandatory insurance and day 1 and 5 test & Go quarantine with PCR's ...meanwhile, Fortress Australia now only requires double vaxxed and an ATK within 24 hours of arrival
  3. It's fully explained here on the Sydney Thai Consulate page (as well as the Tourist Visa which doesn't require a police check like you say it does) https://sydney.thaiembassy.org/en/publicservice/tourist-categories
  4. Here is a good site. Set your country, age and duration and it gives you best price options https://asq.in.th/thailand-covid-insurance
  5. You asked 5 months ago the same question...why do you care so much and did you think anything changed since then?
  6. "However, there is a problem with payment. First you have to have a Cambodian phone number and be able to receive the OTP code on a Cambodian SIM card. I tried to pay the $36 USD charge with several bank cards from the US and from Thailand also and none would work without receiving the Cambodian OTP to type into the payment window" I really don't get this bit about requiring a phone in Cambodia to get an OTP for payment. Anyone applying for a tourist visa while outside of Cambodia would of course not have a Cambodia phone. Also, isn't the OTP sent by your bank to the phone number you have registered to them? The part about finding some random official in Cambodia willing to pay for you just doesn't make sense either...who would do that? And why the whole Singapore friend transfer, if you transferred $70 to friends account why didn't you just transfer it direct to the Cambodia official? None of this payment makes sense?
  7. OP, you could get a 60 day tourist visa and extend it for 30 days, then do a quick trip to a nearby country* and do the same 60+30 again and there's your 6 months. * Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia, Vietnam and Phillipines seem to be all opening up without quarantine (hopefully this forces Thailand to get rid of their 2 day test & go quarantine so your border hop would be easier)
  8. I just watch all the US channels for free https://ustvgo.tv/
  9. When I went through the Thai Pass suspension on 22 Dec it was confirmed that the 72 hours is only after the original date, you cannot bring it forward like the OP has This is confirmed on the Sydney Thai Consulate site
  10. Cobra Gold's not every 2 years, it's an annual exercise since 1982
  11. This one is pretty easy (Thaipass services and insurance options are in 'Helpful links') https://asq.in.th/?durationSelectedItem=7 Day
  12. If you are entering visa exempt for 30 days and have no intention of applying for the 30 day extension then no need to do the TM30 Basically TM30 is only required if visiting immigration for something and allows them to fine you 1600 baht for not completing within 72 hours. If you come and go without needing immigration, Thailand doesn't care
  13. 30 day visa exempt only allows one 30 day extension so not sure how you got two unless a 60 day covid extension? STV also is not possible to get when already in Thailand
  14. Google Thai embassy in the country you have residence in. They have all the options but one year tourist visa is not one of them. ASpecial Tourist Visa (STV) is for 9 months with lots of requirements. Unless you're 50+ or married to a Thai, an STV or 60 day tourist visa extendable by 30 days is likely to be your longest visa stay
  15. Which to me is a good reason to go at least a week in advance of expiry. Unless you absolutely need the extra 7 days I would rather not have a "7 days to leave Thailand" stamp in my passport (I know it's not an issue, but I'm sure my many pages of clean entry and exits is why I never have any hassle at check-in or immigration)
  16. Just trying to get this clear, is the 60 day covid extension application exactly the same as the normal 30 day extension for visa exempt, except you also need to fill in the affidavit and tick box 1 (Pandemic ongoing) or box 2 (embassy won't issue letter)? Is affidavit at immigration or do you need to print yourself beforehand?
  17. One thing that hasn't been mentioned about visa exempt to retirement extension is the exchange rate. I arrived on 14 Jan and planned to do non-imm O two weeks later as I already have a bank account for the 800k baht. Unfortunately, between arrival and 1st business day to transfer baht the A$ tanked, so I got the 30 day extension. A$ was 23.95 on 14 Jan, today its 22.77 (so about 40,000 baht difference on the A$35k I planned to send) I now have a 2 week wait to see if it goes back up, however luckily the 60 day covid extension is there which allows me more time to get a better exchange rate
  18. 30 day extension is definitly from the date of permission to stay, not from date of applying. Same with covid extension I assume
  19. Why would you leave it until the last day? My extension of stay expires 14 March so I'll be applying for covid extension 2 weeks before Anyone on visa exempt or tourist visa shouldn't really be worried about not getting a covid extension before 25 March should they?
  20. Haha, I just checked mine. I've only used it for Thailand and first 6 pages are all full of Thai stamps. All other pages blank so they've kept it neat, in order and maximized page use arrivals/exits Note to OP: the 30 day extension stamps take up a third of a page
