  1. I might go back to them and say "hey, you never cleaned my outside units" not my fault they were scared to ladder that high But in reality, I'm really happy with their service, air-cons are like new again
  2. I have 2 floor condo with my 4 units stacked 20m high on balcony....they were scared to climb as I would be also as no health and safety belts in Thailand (I think 500 baht price would normally include outside clean? but as it turns out not needed)
  3. Not so with mine, they said all four were good for gas (12 years old). I'm just amazed at the difference in cooling after the clean with no re-gas involved Note: this is just the 4 internal units, they didn't touch the 4 outside compressors
  4. Queen Vic on soi 6 have a sign out front for Cambodia visa runs. No price mentioned but good excuse to go to soi 6 to find out price ????
  5. There was a thread here a while ago that pretty much said you can clean your own air-con for free and no need to pay servicing fee (couldn't find it) I did the self clean and now I had it cleaned properly at 500 baht per air-con. Chalk and cheese, my air-cons are now ice makers ???? Well worth the 2000 baht for my 4 air-con units (arranged through my condo Juristic desk so no company name sorry)
  6. If nothing else, at least people are reliasing they can fly to Thailand with an onward/return ticket past the visa exempt entry window of 30 days (now 45). I cringe everytime someone says book your flight to 30 day exempt and change it later (would cost me $70-180 to change flight back to when I actually leave after 30 day extension granted)
  7. Having worked in aviation management for over 20 years (35 years total), wondering how many airlines really care about the cost of one possible passenger not being accepted by Thai immigration. I mean they make billions of $ per year, but the main reason given on here for requiring an onward flight is the airline has to fly you out of Thailand at their cost, omg, the impact to the airline must be profit destroying to give up an otherwise empty seat lol If ever questioned by airline, ask to see supervisor/manager, show proof of funds to fly out, they'll always crumble to keep your flight and future business
  8. And yet the onward flight brigade believe everyone needs an onward flight or you'll be 100% denied boarding lol Just showing the opposite perspective
  9. I give up. This thread was supposed to give some people some hope that they don't need to waste money buying throw away tickets or fake tickets. So be it, follow the know it all Asean forum members always insisting on buying onward tickets or you'll be banned from entering Thailand lol Meanwhile I'll continue to enjoy my 6-7 months a year in Thailand with no onward ticket as a non-issue
  10. I qoute this from the OP "This post is purely to try and relax some people who feel stressed" I'm not here to argue with the "must have onward ticket" brigade so won't reply to these posters anymore
  11. You've missed the point of this thread which is to give people a different perspective to you always promoting the opposite. In fact you've justified the reason for this thread as again you insist we should all get an onward flight, which is obviously not the case
  12. "Who cares" I obviously do hence the post to stop newbies stressing and wasting money on a flight they don't need or booking a flight to their visa exempt date and then having to pay a change fee for their actual departure date
  13. Either way, airline or immigration have never resulted in an issue with my one way or return flight ticket well past the 30 day visa exempt entry into Thailand
  14. I've seen many people worried about not having an onward flight and so many members on here tell them they must buy a cheap ticket somewhere, or use the rent a flight sites. This post is purely to try and relax some people who feel stressed I travel here 3-4 times a year on visa exempt + 30 day extensions (live 6-7 months a year in Thailand). I have traveled with one-way ticket or return flight 60 days later to cater for the 30 day day extension, never had a problem. This year, I traveled with one way ticket in January (stayed 4 months) and just arrived yesterday with return ticket 75 days after arrival. I was shocked that the IO actually asked me a question yesterday for the first time in 14 years coming to Thailand, which went something like this IO: how long you stay this time? Me: I stay 75 days, 45 days visa exempt + 30 days extension. I always get extension to stay longer IO: OK All I got from this is that I'm glad they never asked me questions before as I gave far too much information for the question asked lol
  15. That's what I was trying to say, but you said it so much nicer ????
  16. Went to Jomtien immigration this morning. Noticed the V2 legal/copy shop next to entrance has started visa runs to Cambodia again (sorry, didn't ask price)
  17. Should change thread title to "was almost unmarried for more than one month" If a simple question to the OP gives him that much stress to think he was almost denied entry, I'm thinking it has to do with him dreading the thought of staying unmarried a bit longer ????
  18. It's funny, Aussie beaches (some of the best in the World) are completely free of anything other than sunbathers on towels directly on the sand... However, the thought of this in Pattaya makes me think "why would anyone go there if no deckchairs, food, drinks, pedicures, fake tattoos, etc"...so wierd lol
  19. Went to immigration this morning. 08:15 arrived and #30 in que, immigration opened doors at 08:25, got to front desk at 08:30, out with new TM30 before 08:45. There were only 6 in que when I left
  20. So I must have randomly picked the only two TMB and Krungsi Bank branches who both allowed me to open an account with them on visa exempt. Should have bought a lotto ticket with that luck lol
  21. I've heard you need to get an agent as only way to get a bank account...or maybe my 2 bank accounts say not lol
  22. You ask me to list banks I got account on visa exempt and then you reply with this. What has Bangkok banks got to do with anything as OP didn't say he was in Bangkok. Only you seem fixated on Bangkok for some reason
  23. TMB was in Jomtien outside View Talay just before the road turns to the beach. Krungsi branch was in the Pattaya Avenue, unfortunately it closed during covid. Was just to point out that you can get a bank account on visa exempt, just keep trying every branch until you get one
