  1. ^^Unbelievable how many times the same documents need to be checked. Surely if staff are trained and empowered to check documents at first contact, the rest of the time should be like pre-covid departure. Isn't the whole point of the Thai Pass is to confirm all documents are in order, so shouldn't a Thai Pass and PCR result be the only additional documents needed? (although this thread obviously proves at least 1 check of all documents is required)
  2. Nothing to do with Thai Pass. To get 60 days you needed to pre-apply in home country for 60 day tourist visa. If you went in with visa exempt, you get 30 days. Both of these is extendable by 30 days. Which did you have?
  3. Well from other threads most of my favorite bars/restaurants are now re-opened, go me with having a simple life and not expecting too much ????
  4. Thanks for linking that. I'm a little confused over the last requirement. I own my condo so I assume a copy of the Chanote is also accepted rather than a lease agreement? As to the map of building location, where do we get one of those?
  5. What happens if you leave Thailand before the 90 day reporting date? Does it reset to 0 when you come back or does the original 90 day cycle remain?
  6. TAT has it well covered https://www.tatnews.org/2021/12/thailand-reopening-happy-quarantine-nationwide/ At least a 7-day quarantine for travellers who have a Certificate of Vaccination for have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 with an approved vaccine At least a 10-day quarantine for travellers who do not have a Certificate of Vaccination. For arrivals from the low-risk countries (other African countries as mentioned above), the quarantine period is 14 days.
  7. The main point is, you can load up any document you like as long as it's a jpg file, and your Thai Pass will be accepted apparently lol
  8. There must be more than just me, who's willing to admit it lol I was right in the middle of changing travel dates when they announced the immediate suspension of Thai Pass. So with 3 hours to go before the suspension deadline, I applied for new hotel dates but got no response for confirmed booking. Out of desperation, I applied for Thai Pass with email for initial hotel booking as I ran out of time. Massive surprise to me I got Thai Pass 30 hours later ???? note: I'm all legal with everything booked now, but how did I get a Thai Pass lol Probably shouldn't say anything lol
  9. So what, Queensland Australia reported 1500 covid cases in last 2 days, over 1000 of the omicron No-one died, no-one in ICU, only 6 in hospital with mild symptoms...this is April Fools groundhog day
  10. Only 18 days to go before ending my 25 months covid exile from Pattaya...getting so excited to be back ????
  11. So I can now change my flight and everything else to 3 days earlier without new TP, sweet ????
  12. You're delusional. If they tell you that you have to go to a specified hospital then of course you have to go to one of those hospitals. It'd be like me saying I'm sure an ATK test would be alright as I'm sure they don't expect me to drive 3 hours to do the mandated PCR where they tell me to lol
  13. As I said earlier, why do you think you can just pay for one anywhere you want? If that is the official list of hospitals to do PCR, then surely you have to go to one of them?
  14. The earlier to do the 2nd PCR test the better as then done with all the BS and we can get on with our lives
  15. Actually, TAT says it's day 5-6 Travellers, who have already received a Thailand Pass QR code, who will be entering Thailand from 24 December, 2021, onwards will be subject to the added requirements as follows: They must undergo their second COVID-19 test using the RT-PCR technique (not ATK self-test) at government-designated facilities on Day 5-6 of their stay in Thailand, or when they experience respiratory symptoms (no additional cost). https://www.tatnews.org/2021/12/thailand-reopening-exemption-from-quarantine-test-go/ I think I'll do an ATK test at day 4 and if +ve with no symptoms stay home and delay the PCR test as long as possible... Funny, in Queensland (5.2 million people) we now have 765 cases today and over 2000 in the last week, but only 2 people are in hospital with minor symptoms and no-one needs ICU. Hopefully Thailand will soon realise it's time to live with the latest omicron varient
  16. Anyone know if my first 200k counts with immigration? Transfer was from my regular bank in Australia before I thought to use Wise. It says 'IMEX trade'?
  17. I could have done that too and just shown money in Australia bank, but that required I get a non-OA visa which required mandatory health insurance of 400,000 inpatient/40,000 outpatient, plus additional covid insurance for a year. Non-O in Thailand seems much simpler and cheaper, just need the best way to get the 800k there with proof of international transfer
  18. Thanks @jacko45k I 've now read those threads and it seems like it's playing the lottery. Wise may show up as an international transfer therefore saving me around 30,000 baht, or it may not whereby I may then need another transfer to make 1.6 million in my account instead of 800k lol 800k should be 800k, why are Thailand rules never simple ????
  19. @RedArmy thank you. You have likely saved me about 30,000 baht ????
  20. If Thailand gives you a QR code with a list of all approved hospitals you can go to to get the mandatory PCR test, why would anyone be able to just go somewhere else because they pay for it? I know I'll be using one of the hospitals on the approved list
  21. I transferred A$9k to my Thai bank last week to start the 800k baht requirement for non-O visa and got only 23.39 exchange. I then paid my hotel through Wise which gave 24.48. Is there a requirement to transfer bank to bank to prove funds came from international Bank, or can I send the money to my own bank via Wise and get a much better Rate? @jacko45k you put me onto Wise but I think you said can't be used for visa as no proof of international funds? Appreciate all advice as this is a significant exchange rate difference
  22. The OP already stated 1 month insurance was enough even though on a non-O visa for much longer Richard Barlow also stated that there there has never been anything gazetted about insurance for entire length of stay. He said in his discussions with MFA, 30 days was considered enough which seems to be the case
  23. I found this link very useful for insurance. I took AXA for 30 days at 2000 baht because it covered asymptomatic hospital cover https://asq.in.th/thailand-covid-insurance
