  1. This 10th of January cut-off is a myth. If you have an approved Thai Pass you are allowed to enter on whatever date it was approved Note: why has no-one ever showed a formal link to this so called 10 Jan deadline, it's just rumour spreading. As my own proof, I applied 2 hours before the Tuesday midnight deadline and received my Thai Pass approval for Test & Go on Thursday. Entry date is 14 January
  2. I loved the one on corner of bukcow/Diana which had the spaghetti and aussie burger stands. Saw lots drinking the large beers but couldn't do it myself as I like my beers ice cold until empty ????
  3. Mate, the thread is about bars, hence why I mentioned only bars lol
  4. You can apply now for Phuket Sandbox in Thai Pass, I just tried it and it works fine.
  5. Me too. Applied a couple of hours before the tuesday midnight deadline and woke up this morning with a brand new Thai Pass for 14 Jan ????
  6. My mind is officially blown. I submitted a Thai Pass application a couple of hours before the midnight deadline Tuesday and woke up this morning with this. I will now be in Pattaya on 15 Jan after all to do my part in supporting the bars (especially Bodega if they still have their 55 baht beers)
  7. Must be those delicious ham rolls they had making it a restaurant now lol Great to see, now if only some of us people could come and drink there
  8. Not interesting at all, quarantine is 10 days solitary confinement prison style, locked in a box with no human contact and no booze, harshest punishment in hard-core prisons is now considered 'Amazing Thailand'
  9. I could have done the same as have everything booked. I just couldn't bring myself to do it as Thailand has really <deleted> me off with the constant changes motivated by Politics or baht...also no security they won't flip again before my 13 Jan flight... ...looking for elsewhere to spend my money
  10. Flight diverted. Was going to Bangkok 13 Jan, now find I can go to Singapore from 15 Jan quarantine free instead of having to do 7 days locked in Phuket Sandbox Easy decision
  11. Good luck getting flights, hotel and covid insurance booked and paid in next 5 hours I'm thinking it's just another way to get more pre-paid baht before they say bad luck on your Thai Pass application
  12. No, with only 0.13% of Test & Go testing positive keep it going. But if they are going to say it's no longer safe to have Test & Go, then yes, it should be all voided or they are just making up non medical related rules as they go Note: I've fully booked everything and will now lose everything as I changed my flight back 2 weeks and hadn't sorted the Thai Pass yet.
  13. So where is the medical reasoning behind this? Someone who already got a Thai Pass for 10 Feb is deemed safe and can enter with just wait for PCR, while if someone applied today for 10 Feb they would have to do 7 days Sandbox in Phuket because they are deemed too risky to be out and about... Madness
  14. As if my day wasn't bad enough, Pattaya is brutal lol
  15. Im fully booked but hadn't applied for Thai Pass yet and now I can't as system doesn't allow me to register (I tried Test & go and Sandbox and it wouldn't let me apply for either) I will be canceling tomorrow. Flight I can change for free (and hopefully defer insurance). Pretty sure I've lost my hotel, PCR, ATK and Taxi fee though
  16. Doesn't matter now, PM just suspended the Test and Go program ????
  17. How about reason to wait is to avoid pre-paying everything only to have Thailand change the rules just before your planned trip. I've pre-paid 32,000 baht to travel one-way to Thailand in January only for it to now be wasted... Thailand can go and get <deleted>!
  18. Hey Covid Doctors, they actually made a thread for you internet experts to discuss all your <deleted> https://aseannow.com/forum/245-covid-19-coronavirus/ how about take all your super knowledge on the latest varient there while we real people work out how much money we will lose from this suden change of political policy
  19. Same, flight was easy to change on Singapore Airlines even though I want to cancel which would cost me A$160 (so just changed to a random date). Rest of costs of 'Welcome to amazing Thailand' likely written off
  20. I grow to hate Thailand more and more everyday...you can have my flight, hotel, PCR, ATK and taxi fee, hope it makes you feel good to rip off another Falang as I'll not be coming back for it to happen again
  21. Oh now I understand, the Thailand returnees are slowing so they need to milk more money from each arrival to keep up the baht flow "Since Decem"ber 8, the number of daily international travellers entering Thailand has fallen to less than 3,000 people per day" https://thethaiger.com/news/national/thailand-sees-tourism-dropping-due-to-omicron-worries
  22. Let's pretend that the hundreds of thousands of imminent arrivals with approved Thai Pass are tourists as TAT implies.... How many real 'Tourists' would ever come back to a country where they were made to pre-pay 1 night in hotel, PCR test, ATK test and taxi before they were free to Touristy things, only to be told... ...you must pay another 9 nights quarantine hotel and be locked in your room for most of your holiday, but hey, welcome to 'Amazing Thailand', no refunds so bad luck if you cancel...
  23. If you don't enjoy Hooters, says more about you than any other nationality you flame
