the only 180 rules since i have been here was back in 84 and lasted till about 1989, that if you stayed in thailand over 180 days and wanted to leave you had to show a tax receipt which varied to the number of days you were in the country since ur last exit and each time you left and it was for a calendar year

if she is working in a bar playing pool an connect the dots she is available.
Note many bars make it their policy that girls need a min of x days "off" /month or their salary is cut.
Bars girls are to be enjoyed while ur in country and forgotten about once you leave.

No, just a 90 day border hop to Tha Kek from Nakhon Phanom.
check with ur immigration, for phuket any stay overnight where you check into a hotel or leave the country your than required to report on returning home within 24 hours>
for Bangkok, its only if you leave the country. (passing thru immigration means Jack Sh#@)ur immigration.......???
fine is 800-2,000 baht
sure you can do nothing, BUT when you next visit ur immigration office for a 90 day report, re entry permit, certificate of residency or ur yearly extensions they will check to see if you reported.

i am of the opposite, go and support the locals!!!
see the country before it either closes again or gets spoiled like the other countries in SE asia.
Been traveling there since 1988 -

The real annoyance is that the 90 day reporting can't be done online because the system only works when there's a 'z' in the month. Tried it again last week.
worked for me over 10 times over the past 3 years

i think in 32 years of living here and driving all over the country i have been asked once or twice for my passport ( both times along the thai /Burmese border) ONLY looked and compared my photo with the passport photo.
QuoteI went to Chiang Khan immigration yesterday to do my retirement visa 90 day reporting. She looked at my passport and said since been out of the country my 90 day reporting wasn’t required until I had been in thailand 90 days. In other words, since I travel out of the country every month to two months I won’t need to do my 90 day reporting until my 1 year retirement visa is to be renewed.
If you never stay 90 consecutive days you would never need to do a 90 day report

I did mine just recently and was not told to report back so that the funds could be checked, and according to a few other threads I've seen, this will be checked when you do the annual permit to stay next year.
as above, i was told DON'T go below the 800,000 for 3 months or 400,000 the remainder or i would have a problem for next extension.

Geezus. How many reentry permits you done? Me 7. I provide tm8 form. Photocopy identity page with latest permission of stay stamp and latest entry stamp with tm6. That's it.
I've done 50++++ and since the tm 30 has been required for PHUKET immigration , (not the ariport) you wont get past the immigration volunteer without having one in ur passport if ur on a long stay visa to do anything.
beyond that, all the above + a photo and 1,000 baht.
QuoteBut as the address registration has to be done when arriving in Thailand they do (sometimes) check this when you have a interaction (getting a Re-Entry permit or extension) with the IO officer
NOT the same as doing a TM 30 IF your on a long stay visa

...I refused to pay and had to leave the country and return with a new Visa, which cost me more, but I refused to give in to bribery.
I dont by it either...
why would anybody, other than a complete fool, let his extension slide till the last day?QuoteI tried obtaining a RE at the airport and failed which meant I lost 8 months of an extension to stay. This occurred when the I/O was closed and not late at night." NB I/O means immigration office NOT the re-entry desk/office at the airport which was in fact CLOSED AT THE TIME I WAS THERE- AND NO ONE WAS AVAILABLE TO OPEN IT.
did you ask any other officer? -
Mandalay rum is very inexpensive in country and tastes very good
I always buy a bottle on my trips there
" Mandalay Rum dates back to 1886, and in its regular inexpensive local dark rum offering in a red-labelled bottle from the Mandalay Distillery, is surprisingly smooth & perfect to sip all by itself, pleasingly sweet but not overly so, with a lovely balance & without harshness. -
NO<
you need report to you immigration office ( tm 30) within 24 hours to tell them your back home as they worry

did once re entry at phuket airport, 1,000 baht + 100 baht for no photo.
-
its the farang volunteers that check to see if u have a tm 30 in ur passport before they issue you a number.
If you don't have one, they will make you get one.

Sadly, the more pristine places are more expensive and that is why I go to Pai for example, because they have 50b/night accommodation, most people don't believe it's true, but it is 100% true. And then have 30b meals. And spend about 100-200b/day all in.
VERY very hard to find,if not impossible, 50 baht accommodations, cheapest in a multi dorm room around 150 baht, (i have seen a few dorm room in Siem reap and PP as low as $3) Even camping at a national park in Thailand cost at least 100 baht.
30 baht meals LOL, if u only eat at 7/11's or buy the prepacked meals at Big c, otherwise ur looking at 50 baht.
As far as low vs high season, the only thing that changes is accommodation prices, food, travel, all stay the same
QuoteAnd how I am a tourist? I already told you I am not interested in tourism
Once you walk out of ur home, apt, tent, leave ur town, city, village... your a tourist, even in ur own country
Some people post on here just cause they enjoy seeing their own words printed.

God no, don't get an electric. You should get a Spanish style nylon string. This will be much easier to play and more importantly, quieter.
as above a classic guitar has nylon strings an much easier on the fingers till they build up calluses's
DONT buy online, by from a shop, so you kid can try it.QuoteFirst, if the kids are under 12 years old, they generally don't have the manual strength to manage a guitar. Even a half size instrument is hard to work and becomes a discouragement.
crazy statement, i started paying at 8 years old

I clearly stated PHUKET>>>>>and they do reset ur 90 days

-

I serious doubt you will find a cheaper flight flying into New York and than arranging another flight to Miami or that it would be a timesaver, than an airline booking site

Not easy.
I am not familiar with costs for US domestic flights so "nearest" airport is somewhat difficult to say.
From my occasional observations, New York and Los Angeles are the two cheapest mainland destinations to reach. New York of course "closer".
To New York you would get a decent one stop return flight in January with Emirates for 31k Baht.
Excellent airline, 23h 40m outbound to JFK, 20h inbound from EWR.
AirChina only cheaper by 1500 Baht.
And I don't look at New York flights > 30 hours.
If you know nothing about US prices, why bother posting??
Quoting prices to new york or LA for someone wishing to end up in Miami is useless; Traveling with a kid you want the Shortest direct flight you can get. I posted the best deals and kayak has the best prices.- 2

maybe i am just not the sympathetic sort of guy, BUT its been posted here and everywhere the new regulations for almost a year,
You knew about thai visa as you just signed up in 2008 and than you come and post ur sad story, so surely you must have read about new rules>>
sorry, but the rules are the rules. ignorance is no excuse and zero reason for immigration to be lenient.
man up...
