Tested positive for covid what now?
Tropicalevo replied to mrmicbkktxl's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
That sums up why the reported positive case numbers are rubbish. I know at least a dozen people who have had Covid - including myself. All self isolated for 10 days at home. It seems that the only ones admitting to being positive are those that need a 'fit to fly' certificate and Thais who want the free medicine and/or possible insurance claims. -
Food hoax ends in smiles for handicapped delivery guy

Well done khun Pasakorn. ???? -
But the generals want Thailand to stay as it was back in the days. Keep the peasants downtrodden. Make the rich more rich. Syphon off billions in backhanders and blame everyone and everything else when it goes wrong. Any progressive leader wanting to move Thailand forward will just be removed and replaced by another military uprising.

I doubt it. Venus is never that clear from where I live and I have zero light pollution. Difficult to tell it from a star with the naked eye. Looks more like the moon. -
Employment Department Says Thailand to Import More Workers
Tropicalevo replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
A number of reasons. Immigrants are cheaper and easier to control. (Live in camps.) There are strong labour laws to protect Thai workers. There is a minimum wage for Thais. Not so for immigrants (or if there is, very few people stick to it). When I built my house more than 20 years ago, all of the construction workers were from Issan. Same for other builders around me. When the government put the minimum wage up to 300 baht per day, suddenly all of the construction workers were from Burma. -

And if you go to the beaches on the north and possibly the west coast? Seas as flat as a pancake. Every day I see the beaches at Choengmon, Tongsai Bay, Samrong Bay, Plai Laem beach, Bangrak, Fisherman's village and Maenam. The last couple of days, no rough seas. Six months of the year - rougher weather from the east. The other six months, rougher weather from the west. It is not rocket science folks - it is living in the tropics. Mind you - no sharks. Unlike some of the world's famous beaches. RIP khun Jakkraphan.
