They have every right to voice their annoyance at Thais making noise late at night especially if they are property owners or tourists.
Everybody has the right to make bad choices, that is obvious.

maybe this forum is the wrong place to ask for advice.
I think you got some good advice here, and you might consider listening to people whose opinions you don't fully agree with.
I would advise you not to get into physical confrontation with the German guy, because then you would also be in the wrong.
I would avoid legal action here, it could be an endless story, and quite expensive too.
The best chance you have to win, imo, is to get the management and the other dog owners on your side, so that the German will be isolated and cool down or leave the condo.

Could of been everynight, its obvious its not the first visit these 2 or even other neighbours have made.
The thai owner seems to know them and they even know his licence hours ??
So....begs me the question...is this a long running dispute...im not naive like many of you just to take the thais side becsuse....well u have to because....ummm..their thai?
I remember a few years ago on here watching a videi of a young thai guy bash a elderly farang....before even what we knew about it, there were posters on here saying the old farang probaly deserved it, it was finally brought out the young thai on yaba attacked the old guy for no reason just as the latest attack in Bangkok has happened so dont be stuoid enough to take anothers side without knowing the full story.
I do get it ...i know a lot of you hate your fellow farangs but please try to get the full story before you kick them in the gutter whilst kissing the thai butt.
Sorry but i don't get it.
Are we supposed to condone those guys awful manners because also Thais can do wrong ?
I know that no country is perfect, but in my opinion, as a foreigner/guest, my behaviour must be polite beyond reproach, even if sometimes it can be difficult.

No,
it's "nitpicker" or "nit-picker" in the dictionary.
If you want to be a grammar nazi, get it right.
Obviously the irony flew over your head, carry on

As already stated, it couldn't have been a normal occurrence in Scotland. No ID cards in the UK!
Are you kidding, afaik every country has some sort of identification document.

Not to be a nitpicker on points of grammar or spelling, but "spellcheck" is in fact accepted as one word (along with spell check and spell-check) in all major dictionaries. Just sayin'
..And what about nitpicker ? Or maybe nit picker..

That's why the Thais hate the Farang. They think we are all like these dumb, drunk pr*cks. Because of all these sh*ts, visas are getting harder to renew and the crackdowns are increasing. Way to screw it up for the rest of us! Grrrrrrr. Maybe I'll buy that garage owner a baseball bat myself for the next time.
Luckily most Thais don't hate all the Farangs, because we are not all impolite idiots.
How can you suggest that they all think that way.
Although i can agree that similar behaviours don't make life easier for the rest of us.

Depends on what they were doing .. Some garage airtools are quite noisy as sometimes can be the compressor that powers them .. Revving engines can get a bit noisy also especially if the vehicle has a modded exhaust .. Either way it doesn't justify the farangs going large as they did ..
But, even if there was a loud drunken party going on, as some posters are more or less subtly suggesting, that doesn't justify the farangs arguing so ungraciously.
On the contrary, it would add to their recklessness

Actually, I believe Bluespunk did. I just passed it on the way I found it. But I'm sure he got my point. It was a bit of humor directed at an exchange we had previously, not in any way directed toward your comment.
Ok, i was a just a bit confused about the quotes.

That is a fair supposition, but afaik, there were 3/4 mechanics doing a emergency work on a car, and the rest of the people were the car driver and passengers waiting for the car to be ready.
We don't know if there was a drunken party going on in the workshop, and of course that's not impossible.
It would be interesting to hear the shirtless couple's version of events.
12 minutes ago, Bluespunk said:Nope my comment was purely one of surprise that it takes 8 people to work on one car.
Sometimes a duck is just a duck, eh, Bluespunk? ????
I think you messed up a bit with the quote function there.

What's it matter?????????????????
It is possible, depending on the job and requirements........ We don't know about that yet........ Stay tuned in for more.......
And then again..............
Several of those 8 may have been friends or employees just waiting around (after hours) until their friends finished their job and got off work...Typical in many 'Thai shops'........................... The OP didn't find it important enough to elaborate on that issue...........
Don't you know much about 'Thailand'???????????????
If we have to believe the mechanic, they were doing an emergency work on a car, so it's quite likely that the car passengers were on the spot, waiting for the car to be fixed.

Yes, and my comment was an assumption that not more than 3 people were working on the car.
Probably the rest of the people were the car passengers and perhaps 1 or 2 other customers or whatever.

I was unsuccessful, so let me explain. I extrapolated what you said to mean that there was more going on than simply a shopowner effecting a repair. Carousing, vociferous laughter, drunken revelry, what have you, perhaps on a habitual basis had resulted in what we saw in the video. I foolheartedly took what you said to be perhaps 'raising an eyebrow' to the legitimacy of the underlying situation.
That is a fair supposition, but afaik, there were 3/4 mechanics doing a emergency work on a car, and the rest of the people were the car driver and passengers waiting for the car to be ready.

Ive found being polite with noisy people never works, minute youve gone they carry on, and Thais dont want to complain even when somethings are almost unbearable
That's right, and to attack noisy people is not a solution too.

Recently i noticed that investing too much in a woman who ( you think that ) you love, is a bit like gambling.
Not a good habit if you ask me.
But like it or not, it's something that everyone has to try, at least once or twice.
