  1. Actually, I was, years ago, reading about an interesting hypothesis, not sure if it was Von Daniken or Hancock, about the possibility of the DNA of humans having been engineered by aliens. One of the clues was, that according to the parameters of the animal kingdom, our heads are "too big" to be the result of natural evolution.
  2. Yes, of course. In fact, one can say that most of the thoughts come from sources outside.. But that's not your point, I guess, so, even if we make a sum of all the human knowledge, it's still an infinitesimal fraction of the knowledge which pervades every single atom of the visible universe. Everything is possible.
  3. Well, Josephus was the accredited Roman empire's journalist at the time, and he says something about Jesus too. However, if you dig deeper, you can find more, it's easy to make an author "disappear " if you have the control of the media. The apocryphal gospels are an interesting reading, and obviously totally disregarded, rightly, or perhaps wrongly by the organized religion. .. I could go on for hours..????
  4. Don't forget that 2000 yrs ago writing and reading books was a privilege for a tiny few. Nowadays the technology is so sophisticated that who's in charge can falsify reality. That's a reason while, in a way, I trust more some unbelievable ancient legends than the TV news. It's undeniable that technology is really advanced nowadays, and that includes the art of manipulating the people.
  5. Yes, although the definition of alien may be hugely debatable. For example, if aliens are already here, can we call them aliens ?
  6. I googled A2D, is that an aircraft? ???? I disliked the church too, until i was old enough to disobey my parents and skip the whole thing, but jesus's philosophy is great imho, if properly understood.
  7. Modern Christians don't go to church, we prefer natural beauty. We have also learned to look deep into ourselves without the aid of a priest. As for your hate for divisive opinions, which is respectable, do you also have any opinions about some kind of unity ? I don't see any wrong with divisive opinions, as far as they stay opinions. A coercive unity is much worse imho.
  8. LOL I'm apparently the last Christian supporter left here, and a very bad one too.
  9. That sounds like a very divisive opinion Pot kettle black ????
  10. Perhaps i should warn you of the fact that our materialistic friends don't, or can't read long posts. Short posts however will catch their attention, and you'll be rewarded with a collection of "confused emojis " ???? Incidentally i appreciate your posts, and it's easy to say that you're American.. Nothing wrong with that, but perceptions of the reality differ greatly in other parts of the planet. Pls don't take this as a criticism, as personally I'm extremely interested in subjective opinions, as well as the apparently despicable behaviour of the masses.
  11. I agree that there is a lot of attraction for the physical world, especially when we are young and our energy seems to be infinite. It's also very common to have different thoughts once we experience some illness, and we become old. It's also true, apparently, that just a minority are looking for a spiritual meaning in life, and of this minority, only a few reach some sort of goal. As I believe in reincarnation, I'm not really in a hurry to become some sort of saint, more important than the speed is to be hopefully on the right way.
  12. That's a point of view, but it's limited to the material world and the physical body. Yet, it's undeniable that departed ones are still alive in our memories, and people like Buddha, Jesus, Plato, even great artists in different fields, are still alive after 1000s of years. I can see how the promise of an afterlife has been used to control the masses in some way, but after studying and thinking for years about this subject, i am convinced that some sort of afterlife exists. The idea of reincarnation is pretty common, not just among the gullible and the illiterate. As we are talking about ideas and thoughts, which are obviously related more to a spiritual plane of existence, rather than the physical, it's quite possible though, that people who don't believe in afterlife, some to the point of hating just the thought, will simply dissolve in the natural world. So, if you don't want to reincarnate, there is some hope.
  13. It would be anthropologically interesting to know which train of thought led you to such a conclusion .
  14. I'll keep short and simple for you. According to a master which i trust, freedom is accomplished when all of one's actions are tuned with the actions of the universe (God) To understand the universe, beer, meat and sex are useless, if not even a hindrance. Carrot and water are ok though.
  15. Would you share ? Author, link, whatever ????
  16. Sorry to hear that, but it's people who hurt you, not God, whose existence you don't believe btw. Now, if some mad man slapped your face, while shouting "in the name of the sky", you wouldn't blame the sky, would you?
  17. Well, while we are in a physical body, we have to deal with a dual reality, and everything looks separated, but if we look a bit further, everything is in fact connected. So, not far fetched at all imho.
  18. That's a fair post, actually i tend to believe that the spiritual in us is a sort of a mirror of our physical traits. It would be interesting to study the spiritual aspects of DNA, actually some are doing that already. Like someone said a few posts ago, it will be not too long before the existence of a soul ,or spiritual "body", will be considered real by the science. Perhaps a few centuries I'd guess.
  19. Surely many off topic, that's true. Yet some posters are stubbornly repetitive. Nobody here is preaching dogmas. I understand that some old folks may feel lonely and bored, perhaps they have some problem with alcohol, but it's not my fault. ????
  20. After nearly 3 years, some people still don't understand what we're talking about on this thread. That's funny in some way ????
  21. Having no doubts eh. Either you know everything or... ????
  22. That's exactly what you have being doing since 3 years. From time to time, just for a change, you might consider trying to be intellectually honest. An example? Just few posts above, you were complaining about the length of this thread and its 'nothingness', even wishing it will not last any longer... yet you are always here with your repetitive blabber. Don't forget also that when you hit the 'confused emoji ', (there must be more than 100 from you in my posts) without honestly debating the issue, you are showing your true colors ????
  23. Fair enough, my mistake, I'll take the blame.
  24. I guess @Tippaporn is not referring to the real science, but to the so called science which they are trying to push down our throat, so to speak. I know already that you don't see the difference, and i don't know if you do it on purpose. Try harder.????
  25. If you are in agreement with me, i must have done something very wrong. I'm sorry, it happens ????
