  1. Why does he need to steal? Perhaps he should return to his country to build more wealth, before coming back here for his fun.

Many people who steal, have an illness, nothing to do with poor

Don't you just love it, how everything is an illness these days? The great thing about that is that it totally discards personal responsibility which will appeal to those that don't have it. Drinking 3 liters of soda a day and being obese? Oh, I just have this illness. Shoplifting? Sorry, I'm sick. Alcohol abuse, leading to road carnage or domestic abuse? Well, alcoholism is a disease, nothing I can do about it.

    Give me a break.

This is EXACTLY what I think on a weekly basis. Whatever crap people pull nowadays, there's an "illness" that goes with it that you can blame. I say, get rid of all these made-up illnesses and make people take full responsibility for their own actions.

Not to say that there aren't mental illnesses, but stuff like alcoholism and other self-inflicted conditions? Give me a break.

An inability to emphatise is also an illness ;)

  2. There are many hotels located outside Pattaya city center so the Chinese and other "group tourists" uses big buses to get down to the speed boats and other places.

Not much to be done about it but it would be nice if they could start using some buses that don't pollute so much.

What you mean nothing can be done about?

25 years ago in the big tourist cities in Spain a tour bus would not be allowed in the city. They all needed to park outside the ring road and transport from there with local transport.

Why wouldn't the same be possible in Pattaya, where they could say that buses need to stay East of the railway road.

By the way the biggest problem is at night, when there are no jetski's, but a group of 10 Chinese get transported to Alcazar with a 50 seater bus, while 12 Chinese from another group get there with another similar 50 seater.

Well I agree with you, they should have a huge holding area for all buses just outside town and then transport the tourists down town in baht buses/trucks.

I wonder what city hall will think about that? Getting all big buses out of Pattaya would help a lot regarding traffic pile up.

"Think" and "city hall" cannot be used in one sentence.

  3. I have seen it at villa, foodland and Central supermarket. However, supply chain is a little unreliable in all these places ... sometimes to you need to check all places before you find it or wait till the new shipment arrives.

  4. Jingthing

Balle Balle doesn't have lamb but their prices are dramatically lower than moderate priced places.

For example their veggie dishes are well under 100 baht and their chicken biryani is 120 baht.

They do add 7 percent but it's still low priced with that.

With their Punjabi only limited size menu they're clearly going after a price conscious Indian demographic.

    Also free water is offered.

Their baigan bharta, roasted eggplant curry, 90 baht plus 7 percent:

The cheapest non-vegetarian dish is the 'chicken curry' for 150 Baht. Butter chicken comes for 300 Baht. The vegetarian food is indeed very cheap.

Sorry, I cut the NV-prices accidentally.

The waiter recommended the not spicy Butter Chicken.

We wanted to eat spicy curries and he suggested the Chicken Curry and the Chicken Keema.

The Chicken Keema was too spicy and salty for my significant other, but good for me.

Don't expect to much meat. The Chicken Curry comes with two pieces of chicken, the Chicken Keema just with one. Only 20% of the pieces are meat, the rest are bones.

It was okay for me, as I enjoyed more the delicious curry sauce with bread.

Next time, I'll try the vegetarian food. I guess, this will be a better price-quality-ratio.

The invoice is illegal for vat purposes and I doubt if they ever remitted the collected taxes to the tax office. I think a vat id no isrequired.

    No wonder they closed.

  5. IMO you can go to the night market on Pattaya tai, which has a good pet market. Can ask there

A pedigree dog (if that's what you really want) is not what I'd buy from a night market as I would worry that the pups come from unscrupulous puppy mills/factories.

Perhaps something like a Thailand kennel association may point you to reputable breeders within Thailand?

  6. Low tide in Northern Wong Amat reveals thick sludge instead of sandsad.png

It breaks my heart. ..barely 3 years ago, it was still ok-ish.

The beginning of the end came when those dodgy developers allow run offs from their building sites into the sea. They destroyed the environment there that was the prime asset of the area. Shame.

  7. Have Bush W and Cheney gone overseas in last say 5 years? What's their record compared to other ex presidents and Vp?

I suspect they might not want to test their chances of getting a warm welcome.

Yes. Bush and Cheney are in England right now, just making sure that the British aren't doing the goose step and speaking German. After all, the US wouldn't want to have lost hundreds of thousands of soldiers killed and wounded in WWII for nothing, would it?

Deliberate misinformation masquerading as a bad joke?
