That's a new one for me too! What's a pescatarian then?Apparently, there is a theory (not sure if it is a fact) that lactose intolerance in adults is the default condition and we in the West just managed to build a higher level tolerance to dairy due to high consumption since birth.
There is quite a bit of substantial evidence for this. This is often used as one of the arguments by people concerned about animal welfare.
Mate ... I learnt a new word on the Weekend.
Vegequarian ... a Vegetarian who eats fish and the like.

I eat my morning muesli with soya milk and it tastes fine. All those years of taking it with dairy milk was the main cause of a lot of digestive ailments for me. I still put milk in my tea though, but only in small quantity.

Not sure about it being applicable to everyone but personally I have never been healthier since reducing my lactose intake.

I have been very happy recently with the quality of ridiculous-ness coming out of the good general's mouth. With every cunning plan, the laugh-o-meter is getting a good workout.

those Asians and Middle eastern are keeping the business alive by coming here10 years ago Walking Street was full of American / European / Scandanavian / Australian people. Now it's full of Indian / Arab / Chinese people.
Maybe that is the answer to your question OP.
unbelievable racist comment. Though i dont fit in any one of those group mentioned but here is something pattaya28 should know that in this downfall of Thailand's tourism industry at least those Asians and Middle eastern are keeping the business alive by coming here. Bare in mind the selected group that you criticized I bet any given day they are much more educated and well off than you are.How sallow you are its proven.
The Asians don't use farang bar beers, and the Arabs only use the ones behind Walking St. Might be keeping hotels afloat, but the farang bars are struggling.
If the farang beer bars are struggling because they cannot evolve to cater to new demographics, then time for the owners to move on and perhaps allow newcomers to take on new challenges.

I rather see a whole lot of nationalities than sad sexpats and drunk hooligans from the uk.
Thailand is in Asia and unsurprisingly there are many Asians here. As they say in Australia and the uk to whingeing newcomers: go back to wherever you came from if you don't like it here.

The existing park area does afford a spectacular view of the Unixx South condo building and the Waterfront. Neither seems very green to me.
That waterfront project is under some cloud at the moment?
Not sure what the outcome is but I see quite a lot of thais with tshirts printed with a big X over the image of that building with the words "save pattaya".
I hope these protesters win if only to save pattaya from unethical developers, though I doubt it.
In the meantime what better way to detract from the Waterfront controversy than to promise a pie in the sky project that will probably never happen.

I am Australian and thus cannot/should not comment on this since our government also sees fit to forcibly repatriate asylum seekers. Shame.

One can only hope.

I think I'd be deliriously happy if I had a spare 600 Mill. Meanwhile the rest of you and should be happy with shampoo and free haircuts and be completely satisfied with whatever small morsel I toss your way. Lol, what a fabulous system!

In many countries outside Thailand, this guy could walk free because of the actions of the Police officer.
That's why it is wrong to kick a suspect.
Police are only supposed to arrest a suspect.
The courts are there for doing the rest.
You are so right. And in at least one so-called civilised country which likes to tell everyone to share its values, the Police there shoot you dead.

But the time they add up the cost of the band aid solutions applied to fix flooding all over pattaya over say last 10 years, I am sure they can afford to bulldoze the entire town and start again

Lol somewhere in the middle of the report, it says they are making a tv program called Deep Japan.
Sounds like japanese porn.

Depends on which floor your apartment is on. I think anything above 10th floor is generally mosquito free except for the odd ones which got carried on an up wind. In such a situation, just spray the room and that's the end of that. If on lower floors, best to have insect screens on all windows and external doors to stop the mosquitoes from invading your space! To stop the few getting in, I keep burning oils or mozzie coils all day near doors that are frequently used. It serves to minimise the numbers getting indoors but a few still get in occasionally.

Oops I accidentally bestowed a Like on post above. And I can't seem to remove it !!!!
Anyway. I am sure you are right about Putin. He is also probably not as polished at covering his tracks or using spin or playing legal niceties like say a Dick Cheney who is probably as dishonest, dangerous and heinous as Putin.
For some reason, an awful lot of Russians seem to support him.

Don't the Catholics keep bits of dead saints as holy relics? Don't they have rituals to transform wine and bread into someone's blood and body and then consume it with great ceremony?
Oooooh, gross!!!

"Preventative maintenance" is actually 2 dirty words.
Welcome to the new world. We want new, shiny, brightest and latest widgets. And we throw it away once it gets spoilt through lack of care, becomes unfashionable or obsolete.
There is no inclination to find out how to prolong the useful life of the widget, nor to investigate what went wrong in case repairs are required. Just chuck it out and buy a new one.
It's not just Thailand.

Reminds me of the time when Mao said "let a thousand flowers bloom" in an apparent attempt to let people express their views. When he did not like what he heard, it was easy to round up those poor little petals who were then shipped off to gulags to be "re-educated".
Would you dare stick your head up to express a view that you know would be non-conformist under an authoritarian regime?
Some have dared... resulted in imprisonent and prosecution.

Som tam is bland? Massamam is bland?
Wow. And I thought meat and 3 veg was the epitome of bland.

I'd eat my bicycle if it happens in pattaya.

The "all nigerians are criminals" type of rantings reflect on the posters more than the nigerians. I see more reports of badly behaving brits, aussies and Europeans than nigerians. Sure, deport and blacklist the criminals, Black and White. On a per capita basis, my countrymen from that ex penal colony is probably over represented in the criminality in LOS stakes. I could be wrong of course.
Oh I forgot, a white criminal deserves the presumption of innocence. In fact they are usually set up by wicked thai policemen in collusion with thai bargirls and the Mafia.

Lol. Beach Road pattaya is such a success that they are replicating the model. Better start chopping off some trees and put in an extra Lane for the water pumps now! !!!!

I agree. Whilst I am sure this lot are corrupted to their last toe nail and thus deserves to be arrested, it would add to the government's legitimacy (and credibility) if the same treatment is meted out to people on their own side. When that happens, then the thai people will know - there is no need for propaganda to "enforce" a shallow image of happiness.
