I think it would be so much better to inform people in the plane directly for the danger of those drugs , roads etc ... specially in touristic areas ... I remember seeing some warning in some airlines about drug dealing in Thailand ... Maybe an information package with all issues could be a solution for those young people...
That takes the whole trip from Europe.
Ever been in Saint Paulo? That takes even longer.
Stay home and pray that nothing will happen.

Hopefully the Thai baht is going the same way then the Thai stock market the last couple of weeks.....down.

Lets just hope it levels out and stops dropping .. My dreams of 44 baht to the dollar have long since been erased from my mind as I remember back in 2004 , but 31 would be a nice un even number
Keep dreaming.

What do you expect from all these tattoo monsters.Whatever is the solution (if there is one) i am sure that it is far beyond any 'mad brain' idea thought up by the likes of Khun Plod
Thanks for concentrating it down to the bottom line.
.
Yes, if Thailand could only be run by a few expats like the afore mentioned posters...
But instead, lots of Farang deliver comments all day long, criticizing every single member of every single Government, instead trying to deliver some POSITIVE thoughts HOW things could improve in Thailand.
Same old story, over and over again, ALWAYS NEGATIVE
Nothing new; sad really

Is Toyota the only car maker in Thailand? The bold sub sub headline stated 1.4 million units sold in Thailand. Yet the first paragraph stated record sales of 516,086 this year setting a new marker.
Nice going The Nation, very clear concise accurate journalism.

Getting ripped off in Thailand, just another story to add to the list. The Thai's better be careful, the Philippines and Myanmar are nipping at their heels in the ways of tourism, and without tourism, Thailand aint got much going for it!
Careful now.....caaareful! Hey! What did I say? Beeee careful Thailand!
You say Thailand should be careful and then take the Philippines as an example of good behavior?!??
What?? I simply stated that that the Philippines and Myanmar are "nipping at their heels" in building up their tourism industry. Absolutely no where did I make mention of the behavior of the Philippines in comparison to that of Thailand. Jayzus Chrayste eh, learn to read, or take off why don't ya eh!?
Riiiiiight the sentences above don't imply at all that Thailand will lose visitors to The Philippines (where police corruption violence and rip offs are hundred times worse)
But talking about reading comprehension, when did a million visitors to Burma most of which where Asians and Thais become "nipping at the heels..."?
Anyway I don't know why I'm bothering answering an obvious troll, carry on.
China, Malaysia, Japan, and Russia are its biggest markets,so nobody is worried about the always complaining farangs.

You must have experience...heheInteresting his fb page.
He is no good at spelling but funny.
He writes down:
" Moi je me la fais belle, palmiers et cocotiers" which means: "I have a good life, palm trees and coconuts" but it's like he is playing with words since
"Moi je me fais la belle" would mean: "I do a bunk".
Anyway not smart to put on fb your work address if you're on the run, not smart to go to embassy to change your passport !

Keep dreamingmost interesting comments and nearly all belonging to the category "Thailand's economy is going down the drain, the Baht will fall vs <insert currency of your choice> and we will again be living happily ever after".

Sand was arrested when he landed in Los Angeles and will face trial in Long Island in the coming weeks.
He wasnt arrested in Thailand read the articleI had thought that Americans who defaulted on child maintenance had problems with passport renewals etc. I wonder about exactly which legal grounds he was arrested on over here? Passport irregularities maybe? Can't imagine an extradition treaty clause for deadbeat dads or there would be planeloads of worried men just now

It's so easy to check it automatic 24 hrs.All you need is a decibel detector, recorder and a computer.
This solution is a lot cheaper then to send a minister.Maybe he likes to go for the duty free service.

You cannot find the weather forecast ,then you must be a dummy. They should plan this better, don't they know it's rainy season?
Cloudy with rain.

Yes,read this:Honda may have record sales but they also seem to have a record number of breakdowns! Our local Honda dealer is full to overflowing and they have had my car now for over a week to replace the air con compressor. It was supposed to be ready today but now it seems it may be another 3 days!
I had intended buying a new Civic next month but after all this hassle I think I shall be going back to Toyota.

In the US they call him the" Debt star".In his 4 yrs the debt growth with more then 6.5 trillion dollars.More then all the presidents before.

Really?Yesterday US officials travelled to Government House to conduct a security check. The entourage of 40-50 officials arrived at 7.30am and did an inspection inside Government House without Thai officials, many of whom expressed dissatisfaction with the intrusion.Obama, who will be accompanied on the trip by Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, is expected to stay at the Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel.
Thai officials were not happy with the intrusion of 50 Secret Service officers? What did they expect, one guy with one of those beach metal detectors doing a quick sweep?
Interesting that Hilary Clinton will also be here. She may be the next President after Obama.
