It's not only in Bangkok. Here in Huahin and Cha-am the same. Many units not sold.

Lets hope Yingluck likes the power and tells him to come back then gets him arrested :-)
Yes.together with Abishit.
-
It sounds on the comments that this never happen in the west.

I think this man is brainwashed by the Democrates.Yep now the offer from Thaksins buddies will likely come in
to buy enough shares to make them legal again.
Likely at firesale rates of course.
Powerplay in the works for sure.
So you nasty Norwegians,
here's an offer you can't refuse.
Makes me think back to Monson,
Thaksin partnered with him to install technology,
but it came time to take profits and
he had Monson thrown in jail...
What a nonsense.. Is there any post where you do not mention Thaksin? Wonder what this man has done to you.
It's raining.... blame Thaksin!
Anyway do you know the democrates (your friends) are still in power? And that under their government this whole DTAC thing is initiated?

Thai stocks were the days biggest gainers after a decisive electoral victory for a party headed by former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatras younger sister, Yingluck Shinawatra. Citigroup analysts said the results should lead to a rerating of the stock market, as the policies the winning party proposed during the campaign including large increases in the minimum wage and monthly support for retirees should drive stronger consumption and investment spending
This in the papers in the U.S
Vive la Thaksin.

I give Abhisit credit for letting the people decide which way they wanted to go, and furthermore stepping down so gracefully. He said what he was going to do and kept his word. A man of his word is quite rare in these parts. Samak the cooking show guy spoke English quite well, he just lied through his teeth when he did.
He should have stepped down last year, nothing graceful about people dying.
Then maybe the redshirts should not have taken shots at the military or burned buildings , set up roadblocks and raided government buildings.
Now the redshirts are in power again and not the military,so you can better move to Myanmar, then tou feel more comfortable.

If there's a replacement, let's hope for Korn. One of the most switched-on finance ministers we're had here for a long time - and pretty good with the foreign investment community, too. Fluent English speaker and one of the more trusted Dems.
The first time this year that the SET stockmarket is up over 4% and foreigners are coming back.
With the DEMS the SET was only heading south.
-
His party, with traditional support in Bangkok and the south, has not won a general election in nearly two decades.
See you back in maybe another 2 decades Abhisit.
-
Isn't Democracy all about respecting the will of the people? If so, how come so many foreigners don't seem to be able to accept that Thais want Thaksin and Puea Thai? You cry for Democracy, and then when the Thai people have chosen who they want, you're against it and are attempting to force someone who lost the election (Abhisit) upon them. Forcing people to choose an individual just because you like him and not accepting other people's opinions is NOT Democracy. It's dictatorship.
Clearly, Thais want Thaksin and Puea Thai.
You are confused.
There is a big difference between Respect and Accept.
And NOT talking out against a bad choice is NOT in the best interest of a Democracy.
I maybe a bad chose for you, then you feel more comfortable in Myanmar.
-
Oh no, I can already see all the Thaksin haters packing their bags. Don't let the door hit you on the way out!
Myanmar is wide open for all the Thaksin haters.

A great day for Thailand.
When not,move to Myanmar.
They may not realize it now, but they will eventually.
It is a sad day for Thailand.
I did not fell this sick for a very long time. Simply do not understand how apparently also a lot of people that you would consider "educated" voted for this circus. How can they forget that easily???
Only good thing coming out of all this is going to be that their dreams will soon turn in nightmares for a lot of people and that is when hopefully they will realized what kind of mistake they made voting for them....
As far as Yingluck, I give her at a maximum of 6 month and then she will disappear from the political arena...but PLEASE, let us all enjoy at least one interview of her on BBC Hard Talk or similar before she is gone, will you! ;-)

God, I hope i never meet one of you people that love the taste of his shit.
No,you like more the shit of the generals.
Go to Birma.
"All 65 million Thais might find it unacceptable"
All of 'em? Ha, ha! Wait and see K. Suthep, wait and see.
You wait and see. It ain't gonna happen. Ms Yingluck may get in, she may form a coalition, but Thaksin isn't coming back. Actually, for the things he cares about, it's not that important to come back. It's not like he has any regard for the place or people. He can mine Thailand from afar, just like his blood diamonds.
God, I hope i never meet one of you people that love the taste of his shit.

What a crock, European tourists do not go to Pattaya to learn about the Thai culture they go for sex, if they arrive totally unaware that Pattaya is the biggest brothel in the world they pretty soon find out and have a disappointing holiday. I must add I admire the large expensive hotel chains that are moving in, but being a cynic I suspect they have their eye on the rich middle East guys rather than mum, dad, granny and the three kids from Birmingham
I totally agree with you, that's why I never went to Pattaya...
not that I don't like sex but, for what I heard about the place I'm rather sure that it's not the kind of tourist site that I would love to stay in.
funny
i had a pizza on the beach last night and washed it down with a bottle of bubbly
a nice sunset from the free beach chairs
and a crew of wind surfers carving through the water and the sunset
some kids playing in the waves
a few hawkers selling seafood
didnt see any sex or workers
funny that
That sounds boring. You must be already old, then you can better hear the Russians.Nesdrovja mates.

Corruption is a crime against the country," he said,........oeps,we have to fire a part of the police force then and maybe a lot more.
-
Yes,you know this worldbank is getting a liar award.
Today the Set is down over 2%.

What city did this occur? Bangkok or where?
<<Mr. Suthep denied knowing who the egg thrower was during Pheu Thai political campaign at Suan Lumphini yesterday but had instructed related <<officials to track down the suspect.
Yep that's where I was. No way!! unless they had catapults. Ummh.... could have been a sling shot now that I think about it. But the did not allow people on the traffic bridge either. So I still don't think it was possible.
Mr. Suthep denied knowing who the egg thrower was during Pheu Thai political campaign at Suan Lumphini yesterday but had instructed related <<the rotten egg officials to track down the suspect.

Being called a clone by your own brother had to hurt.
It's made worse by her now having to deflect the comment and rationalize it in the hopes the moniker will fade away.
I have a feeling it won't.
Not yet, because her brother has more money then all farangs in Thailand together and is still making more money.
I call this jealously
-
This is an obvious suicide by sunshine heat. Case closed. let's get back to farang murder investigations
These farang cases are closed already a long time ago.

I know,the truth hurts.
just another down at heel would be journalist major, presenting another opportunist Thaksin sensationalized article using the expat population as cannon fodder for his own meanderings
if the Asian correspondent dot com will pay for such fiction and outright speculation then there's room for all of us to be budding commentators on ''Thai life through the eyes of an expat,'' and to get paid for our fumblings in Thailand
at least we are actually here in Thailand to be able to comment accurately and enjoy doing the research rather than exercising your wrists just dreaming about it.........

Yes,but the truth hurts.
I don't believe he said all expats are sexpats. He said there are a lot of sexpats in Thailand .

I can't hear/see this name Thaksin any more.......
Go back to your own country then.....
It is expected to be a close-fought political battle between supporters of Abhisit's Democrat Party and those of fugitive ousted prime minister Thaksin and the pro-Thaksin Pheu Thai Party.
I can't hear/see this name Thaksin any more. :jap:

Well, perhaps they are just happy to stay here and do not mind about politics and criticisms about Thailand.......
That's right........mind your own business.
Maybe it's time to rejuvenate the members. Imagine the same survey in 2031: average age will be 70 - 79!!!!
Of course, most of the farang living in Thailand are old chap like us but I see, on a daily basis, young guys LIVING in the country, mostly in Bangkok, I mean expats not tourists.
They would probably not be interested by the useless discussions / forums about Thaksin but they obviously like the country and have something to tell about it.
At this moment, where do they meet (on line)?
Well, perhaps they are just happy to stay here and do not mind about politics and criticisms about Thailand.
That depends on what you consider young
-
Who told you that?
Thailand has a democratic chosen government.
The army has nothing to say about politic.
I have always been told that the Army actually runs Thailand. Don't know if this is true or not.
-
I'ts not the server. It's the politic who is down.
How convenient for nothinverhe ser trking as we near election time. I could see something coming, but this one surprised me.
