  1. You don't mention your immigration status, but only Thai citizens and aliens with PR can be placed in the Blue Tabien Baan. If you qualify, I recommend you proceed with putting your name in the wife's Blue Tabien Baan. That is the most recognized and required document for many functions with the government. The Yellow Tabien Baan technically is the same thing as the Blue one (only for aliens), but my experience has been that many places will not accept the Yellow one as readily as the Blue one. If you live in the provinces or a small village, many officals ae not aware of the Yellow Tabien Baan.

I got my yellow book in half an hour here in Cha-am.
  2. Maybe someone should advice the translator that the Universe is slightly bigger than our solar system.

Our solarsystem is about 14 light hours wide and the Universe is 13.000.000.000 light years.

Saturn alignment has an effect to the Earth, but how much is a very much different case.

Saturn is located 8 times further from the Earth, than the Sun. Sun has 3500 more mass than Saturn..

Universe 741 billion, trillion kilometres wide (we think)That is the latest from Nasa. But Universe has no time or distance, but with our ant brains,we cannot understand that.

  3. What is wrong with the people of this country?? Having a verbal dispute with someone, getting on the motorbike with a knife and killing an innocent person walking the street. I know this could happen anywhere, but the frequency of crazy rages like this in Thailand, scares the <deleted> out of me!

Police on Friday announced the arrest of a 16-year-old who reportedly stabbed and killed an American language teacher .When you Google you find the same thing in other countries as well.

  4. My Thai wife was recently a victim of a motor bike bag snatch in Malaysia and it happens in seconds. I had always said if this happens don't fight back & she didn't. Nobody in the street came to our aid. The Malaysian police said it's an increasing problem in the past few years and that tourists have been injured. Here in Pattaya there are obviously bag snatch incidents, as we know also Thai on Thai. Difference is that the Thai's in the street will assist and a few have been chased, caught and beaten by Thai's (at least in the Soi Nernplubwan area).

My wife will not wear gold jewelery in Pattaya, that is visible, in the street or whilst driving her motor bike; day or night.

You mean it happens in other countries too? Say it ain't so.... you're going to disappoint the "last nail in coffin.." "amazing Thailand" etc. brigade who seems to think it is a Thai only problem rolleyes.gif

    Thumbs up for this comment.

  5. It doesn't matter to the child if the paedophile assailant is 33, 63, or 93.......the child is just as damaged and traumatised.

This guy knew what he was doing, age is no barrier to justice. Also well done to the Thai and Mynamar authorities for pursuing him and bringing him to justice, they need to send out a message loud and clear........the time of predatory paedophiles flying into South East Asia unencumbered is over. The law is waiting for you.

Age is no barrier to being a scumbag, this guy is a 93 year old paedophile scumbag, jail him for the rest of his days. End of.

    Good post, thanks.

    Good for a laugh.
  6. Again - who is running Thailand? And all this press about Thaksin, his decisions, his opinions? Thailand you are the laughing stock of international politics. What (if any other) country would allow it's government to be run by a convicted criminal in exile? Will someone please step up to the plate and throw these corrupt puppets out and instill decent tangible governance?

Thailand you are the laughing stock of international politics.Yes,Europe is doing a lot better. No problems at all.Only Spain unemployment 26%,Greece even higher.USA:The National Debt has continued to increase an average of

$3.84 billion per day.Yes a shame Thailand with an unemployment rate from only 1.6%

  7. Sooner or later, the rising sea level will threaten more that 1 million buildings, 90% of which are residential. In the Samunt Prakan harbor, about 15 kilometers away from Bangkok, the suburban houses along the river are already flooded certain months of the year. In a report published by the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank and the Japan International Cooperation Agency, Bangkok appears on the list of the cities threatened by climate change.

  8. It's Thai DNA to run from an accident. Now you take that DNA and cross it with a person raised with "superior" values and you get "premeditated murder' committed with impunity and the assurance that someone else can take the fall or it will just be evaporated." The decision to "drag" the possibly still alive policeman was an implicit decision and premeditation to "shake him loose" from the car at all costs and to scramble for the home fortress to concoct the alibi. The policeman on the motorcycle may have broken his neck and died near the time of impact but dragging his body dead or alive through three football fields of urban cement and asphalt would break the neck and do the job for sure.

On second thought maybe the average ordinary folks in Thailand run from accidents because the precedent was set by the rich, to whom the law doesn't apply. The law is for ordinaries among ordinaries. Not superiors "forced" on occasion to navigate in the filthy, stupid world of the ordinaries.

Maybe the spin doctors are already in place as they now say it was the motorbike which was dragged along not the policeman who was supposedly killed instantly.

    I never did,anyway.
