Somebody told me I should not charge a sealed motorbike battery with an ordinary charger for car batteries.
Is that so?

Please let us know if you found them.

Without competition the restaurants on the same soi as Tiger Muay Thai has the best food on the island, almost thai prices and big plates, Just feel ripped off when eating elsewhere like Patong or Kata. There is one good place to eat in Patong, Restaurant nr 5 on the food court behind Tiger. Don't forget Phattys and Anchor Inn in Chalong!!!
Anchor inn is terrible
I think they have the best "Wiener Schnitzel" in the south of Phuket Island.

a few questions guys, whats mai mi, whats a soi
and
any good indian places in phuket? more leaning towards north indian/punjabi food? any reccomendations though are welcome
I have been going to "Khan Baba" for many years. When I feel like eating some mutton. Good roti and yellow dahl. Good mango lassi. Khan Baba is on the "no name road" between Thai Na Rd and Ket Khuan (Kat Kwhwan) Rd. I went to the Tetsaban to ask for the name of that road. Hopeless. There is another Khan Baba on the little hill direction Dino Park. But the neighbour bar is too noisy for me.

Do they have an email address where I could ask some questions? (And get an answer).
Their website is not very helpful, and I do not like to telephone.
Any ThaiVisa members working there? (willing to help?)
Thanks and best regards

When I lived in Chiangmai I grew a few stevia trees in my garden. You should do the same.
Interesting, can you say where you bought them at, and what they are called in Thai?
Stevia plant, satiwia, หญ้าหวาน) ya wan)
I'm using the dried leaves for my teas, but would like to get some seeds or plants. (Chatuchak?)
The Jiaogulan-plant from JJ grows nicely.

Got 90 days on 25th of Feb. (till 24 May)
Longtailboat 600 THB, for 3 Pax, 2 ways.
My wife came along. Checked out of Thailand with her Thai passport. The Burmese charged her 10 US$.
If she would have checked out with her ID, would have cost 30 THB.
Have done this trip many times.
Sometimes I spend a night in Ko Song ((kaow Thoung ?) Honey Bear Hotel, crappy, 800THB
Sometimes in Tinidee.(Ranong) OK Hotel, Restaurant, forget it.
Sometimes up the vally, at the Hot springs. Good fun,

In 1991 I traveled through Thailand on a motorbike. I enjoyed it so much, that I returned in 1992. That year I met Liz. After she cooked a “Tom Yam Gung” for me, we stayed together. It is probably the most popular and well known soup from Thailand and considered the queen of Thai soups, and sometimes I call Liz the Queen of Tom Yam.Liz’s version is the best!! You are more than welcome to come to Phuket and try for yourself.ต้มยำกุ้งTOM YAM GUNG(Hot and sour soup with lemon grass.)Serves 4-61 pound prawns4 cups chicken stock3 stalks lemon grass, crushed, cut in 5 cm pieces4 kaffir lime leaves, crushed5 slices Thai ginger (not Chinese)4 shallots crushed200 gr mushrooms, halved or quartered1/2 tbs fish sauce and/or a little salt (taste!)½ tsp sugar2 tbs lime juice (taste!)½ cup coriander leaves2 tbs chopped spring onions4-10 hot red chilies , crushed2 small tomatoes ( cut in 8/8)1. Shell and devein the prawns.2. Bring the chicken stock to the boil.3. Add the lemongrass, kaffir leaves, ginger and shallots.4. Boil gently for 5-6 minutes until fragrant.5. Add the prawns and the mushrooms.6. Cook until the prawns are pink.7. Stir in the fish sauce, lime juice, sugar, spring onions, coriander leaves, chilies, tomatoes.8. ServeThe Tom Yam should be sour, salty, spicy and hotDo not overcook prawns!!!Do not eat lemongrass, kaffir leaves, and ginger. And yes, of course, it is served with a bowl of Thai Jasmin Rice.If you substitute the prawns- with chicken, it’s called Tom Yam Gai- with fish, it’s called Tom Yam Pla- with seafood, it’s called Tom Yam Taleh

According to my wife, who runs a massage business in Soi Sugar Palm, the massage "Ladies" from the beach went to demonstrate to the Tetsaban for higher prices. So the Tetsaban invited all the massage owners or their representatives to a meeting. There they were then ordered to rise the prices the next day. If they would not rise their prices, their licence would not be renewed. Voila.

Many years ago I took the road from Khao Facchi (North of Ranong) direction La Un and further to Thon Pla.
I had to cross about five rivers. (No bridges) Quite adventurous, with flat tire, and absolutely no traffic.
I wonder if anybody has taken this road lately, and if the road is better now.
Thanks

Kata Big Rock 2. Soi Sugar Palm, near elephant fountain and Tetsaban.

I stick any seeds I find, in with planting soil filled plastic bags (diameter about 6 cm)
I water them 1 time per day and then I just wait.
No direct sunshine.
When I think the plants are big enough, and I have free time, I put them in bigger pots.
On Dec. 16 I hung an avocado pit in a water glass.(see picture) In a few days I'll put it into soil.

If they would read all of "Todays BEST Thai Visa topics" and all the following posts, they would have no time to play games.
On the other hand, playing card games is maybe more rewarding.

I like the shop opposite the cops in Chalong. Small, a bit messy, but no time wasting secretaries or sales people who know nothing.
There is a very fat guy there, who is excellent in balancing the wheels.
If you catch a nail, they repair it immediately, for about 100 B.
They do not have a big stock. But they can order what you want.
Have been going there for 10 years.

I like the President Palace. Sukhumvit Soi 11.
Big Pool. Free wifi. Fitness center. Lots of restaurants, and massages nearby. Waking distance to BTS.

What does "mann kiao" mean? to hug? to embrace? How is it written in Thai?
-
Yes her husband died and she had to move. She is opposite Don's Gym on Ket Kwan Rd. The one that goes to Big C.
There is also a new used books shop in Nai Harn called Book Cafe. Just past Sinbi Muay Thai coming from Kata. Right by that tiny litte gas fill up pump.
Ket Kwan goes to "Big One".

leave a one baht tip
...not a single Baht
In most places tips are divided among staff.
But staff does not make the rules. They follow orders.
Why punish the staff, for stupid rules of the management?
Kind of kicking the dog........
