  6. I hope it all goes well for you @Cameroni. Hats off to you on getting this date lined up.
  7. Just some critique on Richard's (largely correct) analysis: 1) Even a first date should conclude with some affection, which should be reciprocated. We should note cultural differences here - most decent Thai girls would accept a peck on the cheek, or one of those delightful sniff kisses that the Thais do. It's unlikely that they'd go straight into French kissing. I think that the jury is still out on this point. 2) The same applies to 'bumping fuzzies', or 'smashing down her doors' *ahem*, as Richard so eloquently puts it. This can all come later, and its often more fun if it does, but there should at least be a progression towards it. Often, with a decent girl, this may take a prolonged time. 3) Richard is on point with his remarks about the dreaded friend zone. Women expect men to be challenging, and they also expect us to make moves. What Richard says about no opportunity being given to making moves - just shopping, and almost mocking Cameroni by getting drunk without him is spot on. If a girl likes you, they make things easy for you - they are playful, more beckoning than repelling. They accept offers of dates and are flexible and giving. If moves aren't made when they provide these opportunities - if indeed they do - then the shutters go up and you're out for good into the friend zone. I think this is where Cameroni is at now, so I'm glad to see him attending to his pipeline again.

  12. @richard_smith237 please stand down from personal attacks. Thank you.
  13. This thread has descended into Trump / anti-Trump nonsense. CLOSED
  14. Look on the bright side: You're in Thailand, rather than some western country where your options would be so much more limited.
  15. Playing it cool isn't playing games - it's simple psychology. People are repelled by things that aren't challenging or exclusive in some way. Conversely, they're attracted to things that seem rare and in demand. It's a fundamental facet of human behaviour. You've made your intentions obvious already, and she's withdrawn from you. If I were you, I'd wait for her to make the next move, or at least wait a good few days, and have some fun in the meantime to take your mind off it.
  16. A post was removed. Discussion concerning the politics or actions of the State of Israel are allowed. Emotionally charged condemnation of all Israelis, or their society, or their religion contravenes Rule 15, and is rude and offensive to our esteemed Israeli membership, who are as welcome here as anyone else. Thank you.
  17. I wouldn't text her yet. If you appear too clingy and desperate, it will diminish her interest further, and you'll be out for good. You should consider yourself a catch, not a pushover who's always available. Go and let off a bit of steam with one of your backups.

A flame was removed. Please don't post if you have nothing sensible to say. Thank you.
  19. By that I mean are you limitlessly rich? There's no limit to the amount of money that a mercenary girl and her family will ask for, regardless of their humble origins. They clean prople out, then move on to the next mark. This girl may be decent, but you've seen some red flags, so try to keep your head together and judge her character objectively, despite those raging hormones. Proposing marriage is something that should still be a long way down the track. It's good to see that you're working on your pipeline again. Well done, and it will keep your primary target guessing. There's nothing wrong with chasing a big risky win, but even the best salesman needs a balanced approach with a fallback position.
  20. A unsubstantiated claim was removed. Please ensure you back up your claims with authoritative news sources. Thank you.
  21. Perfectly normal. Coming on too strong is a turn off. You need to play it cool, but you're all over this girl, even thinking about proposing to someone you hardly know. Are you rich enough to get seriously involved with a girl who posts photos of wads of cash, saying that's what she wants from a man? Revisit your pipeline and take back control. Start posting exciting things you're doing online. Women are competitive, so she might start running after you then.
  22. Massive ..... red ..... flag .....
  23. Now there's a point I hadn't thought of, and a good test. Better to test the waters with a 700 Baht iPhone case than to buy her a Corolla, thinking that's generous, only to get dumped because she was expecting a Benz.
  24. This thread has degenerated into bashing a single nationality, which is in violation of Rule 15. In the interests of our nice members who may hold the nationality in question..... CLOSED
  25. Perhaps you should buy her something thoughtful but not too expensive. If she's happy with that, she's a keeper.
