Being forced to retire is so unreasonable, expecially so these days when people are perfectly capable of working into their 60s and beyond, but it is what it is. You still have eight months to go, so keep your fingers crossed - the MOI might lurch into action between now and then. Is there any chance that the company you're with now could keep your work permit going for you after you officially retire, perhaps on a minimum salary, or some similar arrangement? If you know the owner, and are on good terms, they might be willing to help you.
