Labour ministry to raise minimum wage to Bt400 max by December
SpaceKadet replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
And here I thought that the minimum wage was raised to 500 Baht when Mr Thaksin was the PM years ago as part of his election promises. But maybe that was only in Isaan.... Silly me... -

Outside humidity does not affect the temperature inside the car. And if you think it's all desert there, try 42 deg C and 90% RH. Quite common in the coastal regions around Aug-Sep. You'll get wet within 2 minutes just walking from your house to the car. -

I spent quite a few years in Saudi Arabia. The heat there is much more extreme than here, reaching 45-50 deg C on some days during summer. Same thing, full blast on A/C, open widows for a minute, and good to go. Even on a black car. -

To quote from a song: "Black cars look better in shade..." Some years ago, a European car magazine (sorry, don't remember which one) tested white vs black cars for how hot they were staying outside in the sun. They discovered that the difference was negligible, and what made the biggest difference was the color of the upholstery. They also suggested that the insulation in modern cars played a big role in how hot it got inside. And, just like the quarter mile man suggested, the A/C is very good on modern cars. I have a black car, with black interior, and a black cat to go with it. If the car has been standing in the sun the whole day, open the A/C on full blast, open the windows for a minute to flush the hot air out and you're good to go. Applies to any color, so just chose the color you like. -

Well advice Sheryl, but IMO the OP should definitely seek a cardiologist advice on the drug and dosage. Self medicating heart drugs can be dangerous, as you know.

Block Chain App to be Developed for Digital Wallet Scheme

Every time I hear that the government is gonna develop an APP for anything, I get this icy sensation along my spine..... -
Shorts, T-shirt and flip-flops are only for the beach. And even then, I wouldn't be caught dead in that attire after dark. There are loose cotton trousers available, and that's what I wear outside the house, short socks and trainers. Loose t-shirt or cotton shirt. Never owned sandals and never will. There are even jeans ( like Mc brand or Levi's) that are loose fitting and cool in this climate. However, Gen Z think that jeans have to be this stretchy stuff that clings to your legs. Thais don't pay attention to their footgear, thinking that feet are the lowest part of the body (literally), so yes, I have seen men in business attire with lime Crocks

I think you should revisit your history. Israel did not exist before 1948. Biblical and archeological evidence indicate that the Jews conquered and began to settle the land of Canaan (as this area was known then) during the thirteenth century BCE. It took them several decades to establish some degree of dominance over what they then called Eretz Yisrael. The land that was promised to them by their God, they claim. In fact the roots to the current conflict started as recent as the time of WW1. Before then, Arabs and Jews were living together in a relatively peaceful coexistence for several hundreds of years. At the beginning of the WW1 there was even talks between Arabs and Jews to establish a coalition to protect the country (known as Palestine by that time) from the impact of the coming war. And then, after the end of WW2, it was the geopolitical greed of the colonial powers to meddle and create the mess we are in now. It was the Allied powers that just couldn't keep their sticky fingers from telling everyone how the Middle East should be divided to suit their political interests. If someone invades your house, tells you that you can live in the garage and <deleted> in a bucket, you'll eventually get fed up and rise... And here we are...

Thailand remains neutral on Israeli-Palestine conflict
SpaceKadet replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
They made their choice. There are many more safe places. If you chose a well known troubled spot, don't come back and cry to mamma. Expat low educated labor is cheap and expendable. Learned that in Saudi Arabia. -
What I'm trying to convey here, is that some posters call all Palestinians terrorists, but will justify all terrorist actions by IDF.
