Glad to see that the Immigration website has been improved and the 90day reporting is working efficiently.
Logged on to do my report Thursday at14-00.
Went back to the site at 10-00 this morning and found it approved and printed the receipt.
Well done Thailand 4.0 !
Only second time I have found it to work in three years

Thanks again ubonjoe

Thanks again
I will include a copy of my work permit.
The company deducts tax each month, I assumed this was all that was needed.
Not been employed in Thailand before, so did not know about needing a tax return,
cheers

Many Thanks ubonjoe.
I work for a Thai company in Thailand
Do you mean my monthly payslips, or do I get a special receipt from my employer to show immigration,
cheers

Previously I used a pension letter to the embassy to support my retirement extension
However, now I am working again and with a change in my renewal dates, my pension letter will be 11 months old when I apply and not sure Immigration will like this.
As I am working, has anyone used their income in Thailand to support marriage extension and if so what proof is required by Immigration at CW?
Thanks in advance. -
Urgently need information on where to buy Rhode Island Red or similar 'farang' , breeds, not the scrawny Thai type near Prakonchai or Buri Ram.
Wife was supposed to make arrangements but forgot so now I am only here till 11th and not back again till almost end of year.
Any info much appreciated,
thanks

Got an old friend coming in from Singapore this week and he was asking me where he can go to watch the Lions game in a bar with some hostess type staff. He was a regular at Office bar when he lived here, but that is long gone now and I have no idea if there are any bars that will suit his needs.
Any suggestions welcome,
thanks,

As said, there is secure parking at the bridge for 250 thb per day, or a free car park right at the side of the bridge.
If you are near the front of the queue to get visa on Lao side, tip is not to wait for the bus but get a taxi to the consulate and save time waiting for the bus, got me there ahead of many and saved time.
Recommend Daosavanah Resort and Spa Hotel. views over the river, good food and not expensive, 3000 thb get you a suite with jacuzzi !

Thanks Ubonjoe,
will give it a try in a week or so,
cheers

Thanks to everyone for their contributions.
Current lease is in the name of the manager of the condo block, so we decided to move out and found a farang friendly apartment block where he will provide copy of ID and Housebook.
This gives me another problem !
My letter of income from the embassy has the old condo address on it. If I show lease from olden new apartment and explain why the move, does anyone think that CW Imm will accept the letter or do I have to get a new letter with the new apartment address - more expense.
thanks.

Thanks Ubonjoe,
will check the agreement when I get back tonight, and keep fingers crossed it is with the building, not an individual,
thanks again for your help

The Juristic person just wants to be paid for the effort. 399 baht
Tried this, no go

The rentals with the owning company, the apartments are not owned by individuals. Also there is no committee at this block, very Thai type.
Looks like I will need to move before I can apply for the visa extension.

I was all set to go to Chang Wattana this week to do an extension for my marriage visa, have all documents ready, except for the ID card and Tabien Baan for the Juristic person for the Condo that we rent. My Thai wife explained why we needed it but she said she (Juristic Person) did not want to give it; no reason just didn't want to do it. Suspect they are driving farangs out of the condo !
We have a rental agreement and show monthly receipts.
Has anyone had this problem and did they get an extension without the copy of ID and Tabien Baan.
many thanks for any help.

Looks good, but I think too difficult to keep clean when she has her pups
Thanks anyway.

I am looking for an app, either android or iPhone which will give me the Thai word but with English form of pronunciation; so far I can only find dictionary with Thai script, and I don't read Thai.
Has anyone found such an app ? Does not have to speak the word.
Many thanks.

9Lots of replies re servicing
3 services at 5k twice a year = 30k not 15k which is a vast amount of money to be spending out for an oil change and a fluid top up.
If you can do it yourself it would cut that down to a maximum of 1500Bht per service. If you don't like doing it yourself find a reliable garage or a one man operation he will do the same service at a fraction of the 5k you said.
Typo error (late night this morning!)
should be services once per year
Total is still correct.
Could do oils and servicing myself, always did in UK because of high costs; just got lazy here because it is so cheap, not worth getting dirty hands.

My Three year old Toyota Vigo double cab costs
3 service x 5k, twice a year = 15k
First-class insurance = 14k
Road tax per year = 5k
Tires every 60k miles 4x4k = 16 or 2.6 per year
20K km per year @2thb per km = 20k
Total of 56,000 thb per year or 2.83 per km
Incidentally the tires are still original and have about another 20k before need to replace.

Great.

How nice of a house to build?

My experience - For What It Is Worth
I built a house in 2015 in Buri Ram Province.
Very few off the shelf plans suit everyone. I found a great CAD program - Mysweethome. With this I designed the house and was able to 'walk through' the house before building and knew where everything would fit in the house. Program was only a few dollars to buy on the web.
Give the plan drawing and each of the elevations to an experienced builder and he will be bale to work from these.
Our house is 2 bedroom, two bathroom (1 en-suite) dressing room, lounge and inside kitchen for me. Outside we have a large gardenroo, troilet, outside kitchen and an office room
Built to normal western standards, hot showers, kitchen water heater, tiled roof, aircon etc.
Total floor area is 205 square meters and total construction and fit out costs work out at 10,000 thb per square meter.
You can keep budget under control by buying all materials yourself and avoid the mark up scam.
Also if you can take time to be on site every day to check and supervise, you will avoid costly mistakes.
