This is certainly a strange country?
I come from a western democracy where the Government makes the laws and the Police (etc) administer the laws.
It seems here that the Government makes the laws and other departments of the Government are able to change them and administer them as they se fit ?
PTT Oil and Retail Business (PTTOR) has earmarked nearly half of its annual $900 investment budget to scale Café Amazon across Thailand and international markets this year.
I don't think $900.00 will go far with the expansion plan ?
"It was decided that the cord had broken perhaps due to wear that could not be ascertained with the naked eye."
If damage and deterioration can not be seen with the naked how will it be possible to make a safety inspection?
"Farangs cant buy homes at that price point. Either a condo or not his name"
. I am not sure this statement is true ? I am a Farang and own a house here in Thailand, and lease the land it is built on.
I don't own that dog, I just feed it and it sleeps at my house sometimes.
Without a registration and microchip tagging system, I doubt this law will ever be enforceable.
I have used the PWA App to pay water for my empty home in Sakon Nakhon for several years, and it works very well as I live in Samui.
I thought every consumer could do this ?
If you look at the back of your Thai car driving licence you will see pictures of the vehicles that the licence permits to be driven here. CAR, SMALL TRUCK (UTE), MINIBUS.
I was surprised to read that the Thai Police mobilised more than 12 men to arrest this man. I would have thought a couple of them with a taser would have done the job and left the others to rest back at base.
Slightly off-topic but I just installed a 150L Stiebel Eltron water heater in my new house. It supplies hot water to three bathrooms with showers and basins, two kitchens, and a washing machine. Doing a great job.
In Some countries children are taught to swim while they attend school.
They are also taught about "Road Safety" and have their bicycles checked by the legal authorities.
Does that happen here in Thailand?
Be advised. You may be able to own the house, but you will never own the land.
So think about how you will ever enter the house if the land owner won't let you on the land.
