  1. I always believe that the Police officer in charge of the station where incidents like this happen, should also be moved to an inactive post and demoted, for not managing his staff correctly, and thus allowing them. If this happened, then I am sure proper "management" at the stations would provide much more efficiency.
  2. If any of the notes are "recognisable" I am sure that the Central Bank would replace them. That is certainly the case in my country.
  3. I suspect no toilet or bathroom facilities available ?
  4. There are many poison baits available and most of them encourage the animals to drink water. This means that if the eat inside they will go out to drink and the water and poison together makes the die quickly. I know the Bayer (German Co) make a bait that I have bought in Thailand.
  5. That was the headline, but it was not factual.
  6. If the rent's being paid and the property is kept tidy without complaints from the neighbours, then I would renew it. I think you may have difficulty terminating the lease if all the above is OK, and the tenant wants to renew. I would also look closely at the insurance policy and ensure it covers building replacement in case of destruction. I am assuming the tenant pays for this cover ? With your next lease also require that the husband and wife both sign as Guarantor's of the lease, separately.
  7. I think Pattaya has the same problems ?
  8. Based on your comments I would have done exactly what you had done. Congratulations !
  9. Does anyone know if the RTP have a Fingerprint or DNA Bank ? I never hear of them taking prints or blood samples from crime scenes.
  10. "Vincent Zhuang, a journalist from China and former editor at the Robb Report, a luxury-lifestyle magazine, said Chinese travel trends are changing. "The Chinese tourist has changed a lot," Zhuang told DW. He added that Chinese tourists are traveling more domestically as air fares and hotel prices remain high elsewhere in Asia." I think Vincent has it summed up correctly !
  11. I have never been able to find out what the purpose of the white line about 1 foot from the curb is ?
  12. I also was brought up in an English speaking country and have difficulty understanding some people born in the UK. It seams that each County speaks a different dialect or has a different accent ? I find the same when watching some English TV programs. Some I just can not understand, and I delete them.
  13. A irresponsible Sub-Lieutenant is the Deputy Superintendent of a Police Sation ?????
  14. I am not sure why the Thai Government is not actively encouraging the installation of Solar Power in homes, businesses and public buildings.
  15. Doesn't sound like French names ? RIP young man.
  16. Did you book a return journey and was the insurance for that return sector ?
  17. It always surprises that Thai people do not report these matters to the proper authorities. Also there must be many local Govt. people who pass these dangerous things and apparently do nothing about them. I would have no idea who to contact about it.
  18. They are probably the people who spend all their monthly income before the last day of the month.
  19. On the first of each month (like today) I list the following on an XL sheet and compare it with previous balances. It takes me about 15 minutes each month. Balances of my nine bank accounts and credit cards. (includes in my home country and here) Total value of my share portfolio I find this a quick and easy process that gives me direction and usually peace of mind.
  20. Is Asoke BTS the most convenient station to get there?
  21. The uniform looks like Thai Lion Air I think ?
  22. If the DLT insisted that all taxis in Thailand were to use meters then this problem would disappear everywhere.
  23. Same for me in Samui and Sakon Nakhon. Excellent service and prompt responses for any "glitches"
