Tourism Ministry Launches ‘Thailand Trusted Destination’ Campaign
cracker1 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
With regard to promoting "Fareness" Does Than Bok Khorani National Park, mentioned in the story, offer the same fare admission prices for all visitors ? -
It varies with the size of the fuse your owner chose at the roadside pole but I just received mine today and only used 69 units (was away a big part of the billing period) and the bill total was 269.42. Price per unit therefore was a little less than 3.9 baht per unit and I have a 45 amp pole fuse. Supply came from PEA.

Extension of stay : OA Visa

There will be a large number of older people who will struggle to pay the extremely high insurance premiums demanded for those above 75 years. -
What do you think is a fair beer price in a bar?
cracker1 replied to FruitPudding's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I limit myself to bars that charge a maximum of 65 baht for small local beer. When I enter bars that charge more, I advise the cashier or manager that i will pay 65 baht and give them the option of selling to me or not. The offer is accepted in about 50% of the occasions, usually when the bars are almost empty. -
For the past five years I have been making monthly payments for my two Issan properties and my Samui property with PEA's App on the internet, that I found excellent. It was offered in English and Thai languages and stored historical data related to usage, account number, and payment details. On attempting to pay this month it seems to have been closed, and when I download the new (or updated) version I am offered the App only in Thai language, and of course all data relating to the account numbers I had stored, is gone. Has anyone else experienced this issue and have you a "work around" for it? Thanks

New Govt committee to sustainably address overpriced lottery tickets
cracker1 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Surely the police should be involved in this Rip-Off by lottery retailers ? -
Sounds like a good deal providing there is one going past at least every 30 minutes.

Major fire causes serious damage to Walking Street nightclub in Pattaya
cracker1 replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
As there is no permanent construction permitted on Thai beaches it is to be hoped that this place will not be rebuilt. It would also be a good time to clear away all those other buildings on the beach side of Walking St and open the space up for the public, as the law requires. -
I am not sure it has been established who the owner of the dog is, and that is the main problem in gaining any recompense. It is known where the dog lives or where it came out from, but there could be several people living at that address ? I suggest if no one admits to ownership when the police visit the home then the police should destroy the dog immediately. As far as compensation I guess it's a matter for the insurance company who paid the medical fees, to follow up ?

CCSA Maintains Curfew, Dark Red Zone Provinces
cracker1 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Can anyone advise where I can view the "Colour Zones" for the different provinces ? Thanks. -
Further to above. I meant to say "save a screenshot of the QR Code"

I just used it an hour ago and paid three different electricity accounts without issue. The system changed a few months ago when I could pay directly from the App. Now I have to open the PEA App and save a screenshot of the accounts then open my SCB account and copy them into the utilities section where payment can be completed.
