I live on Samui and spend less than that so I would suggest your friend could live anywhere in Thailand on 60,000 Thai Baht per month. I include rent, food, Wi Fi, electricity, motorbike petrol, and at lease two large bottles of beer per night.
"The motorbike is presumed to be a tourist rental as it had no number plate.'"
Why do the police allow bikes with no plates on the road ? How could they possibly track the ownership ?
I would love to see Thaksin arrive in his private jet at another of the International airports near his private residence and take a fast convoy home. Would be a very entertaining scenario that would take a long time for the officials to resolve.
I am finding it hard to understand why the bold ENGLISH print is an the back shoulder area ?
Perhaps it should be Thai language, and may be English also ?
I can't agree with that! If a policeman asks you to do something, in a foreign country, then you should obey. You can discuss the pro's and con's later, in the court, if necessary.
I was in Thermae Bar in Sukhumvit, Bangkok last month, with about 150 other people. It is an underground level bar with only one door for entry off the main street. This door open inwards to the bar and I was concerned that in the case of a fire the one door would not be big enough to allow all to leave and any crowd pushing towards this door would force it closed !
There is anther door at the back of the bar to a toilet area, upstairs but not well signposted and I suspect unknown to many of the customers.
I do not know who to contact about my concerns ?
