Never heard of this Rodman guy before but isn't he sweet for offering to do that for the family? He will spend the next 14 yrs living in the palace with his lunatic mate Kimmie well until Kimmie gets pissed off at him for leaving the toilet seat up and has him executed.
You don't know rodman? Do you know michael jordan?
Perhaps you don't even know michael jackson.
They are all brothers, right?!? Maybe the Marx brothers?!?

.....guilty of being unusually rich..... I want to be guilty too
I am definitely guilty of being unusually poor! Can I get some money now, please? If we share 50/50, we would be both just usually rich (which is fine by me)

What if you only have red shirts....

My longtime ex-gf is my best Thai friend these days... We have no bf/gf issues anymore, and there is NO sexual tension, which makes things a lot easier We talk Thai style (not too serious subjects), but she tells me all of her man issues/problems, which gives me great insight in Thai female thinking.

I'm hoping if I spend enough money, they'll erect a statue of me in the middle of town. Right next to Thaksin.
No problem Give me the money and I start building Of course it should be a LOT bigger than Thaksin's

mmm what is "6. Overtaking other vehicles in public" ?
So we have to go onto private land to overtake now? I'm confused.
Do it secretly! Make sure nobody is watching

Great trip, go slowly, stop a lot and relax a lot It all depends how much time you have; 1 week would be too short (there is just too much to see); 1 month sounds about right...
Have Fun and take it easy (with the traffic)

Reading on TV, I notice there are a lot of people, that are stupid enough to leave the real important things (money, passport, etc) in their taxis... They are probably 'smart' enough to take their dirty laundry out of the taxi, but 'forget' the only things that are really important...
Are people really that stupid or is it all a publicity stunt, again and again?!?

IMHO, all farang that live in Thailand are not normal Because 'normal' people live in their own country, and don't even think about moving away. Ask anyone back home!
I will not even try to define 'normal', as this is way too difficult
Normally, 'normal' people are extremely boring as they are so normal

How many deaths are due to 'religion' through the ages.... It might be God, Allah, or whatever god one believes in!
I would like to hear His opinion about this...

@tourguides: Go to TAT!!! They always have great numbers of tourists (up, up and up), so they should know where these incredible amounts of tourists are hanging out.... Good Luck
@tourguides: you are freelance, so work/no work comes with the territory. Stop complaining or look for a real job

What happens when you sell the car??? Can you keep the plate for your next car??? I would expect that the numberplate is registered to a particular car, but I am fully aware of TIT
The number plates are in the owner's name and not the car registration. So if sell the car then then owner of the plate can keep or sell with the vehicle.
Yes indeed, as I had this plate-process in detail explained by a Thai guy today... It makes a little bit more sense now, as you can keep the plate forever (I guess). So it is not a complete waste of money
However a certain obsession with numbers (and a BIG wallet) is likely to exist among these people
I wonder how many farang participate in this auction?!?
-
How crazy you have to be to spend 1,45 MB on a numberplate?!?!?!?
It is not a car with a numberplate, but a numberplate with a car attached...
If this goes on, you can expect to get a free car with your plate

He's world class for a premier class facility. You've got to check out Khun Phuripat's interview on the other local news source. It's brilliant. One of his best interview so far, surpassing the one he gave after the kata beach speedboat incident. He clearly doesn't give a shit. I don't think he is mentally retarded otherwise he wouldn't have landed such job and prevented to be booted out for so long despite his abysmal track record.
No wonder so many want to learn to dive when they come here.
"premier class facility"??? In Phuket???
-
Since we all know that 80% of the tourist in Pattaya don't come here for the temples and national parks, what do you think is happening now.
The niche' market is becoming " Franchised ".
It is called "Farangchised"

Who is Michael Turner????? I have never heard of the guy (I am not American), and what does he knows about Thailand???
Wikipedia told me he is Republican (not my flavor) and there is not a word about his Thailand 'knowledge'.
Anyway, I rate Obama smarter than this bloke, so I am no too worried...

IMO, dogs that run free, should be well behaved and not attacking people. If they do attack, these dogs lose their 'rights' and can be 'punished' in any way you see fit.
I don't care if it is a soi dog or a 'owned' dog. If the owner can not take care of his dog, the dog might suffer the consequences...
Most likely, the first dog that attack and bite me, will die or get badly injured.
I do like dogs, but only dogs that like me too

So Iraqi or Iranian?
As it reads, an Iraqi and an Iranian. Same same, but different. In any case both embassies were notified
Phuket blood bank 'has no blood'
in Phuket News

Instead of asking 500 THB from tourists at airports, can you not ask them to donate blood (at arrival/departure) or pay 500 THB???
Just thinking...
