  1. I look for a detached furnished house with garden, 2 bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen for about TB 10.000 / month in Hua Hin or surroundings.

Already spend several days on the motorbike but no succes so far. No more than 10km from Soi 55 as my son goes to school there.

Any info, please PM me - thanks for your help.

  2. Lets see if we can beat China as most polluted country in Asia, we are already number one in alcohol consumption http://englishnews.thaipbs.or.th/infographic/alcohol-consumption-thailand/

So lets find waste and start burning plastic, wood, oil, tyres, foam, leaves lets burn everything that we can find and see if me can make as much smoke as possible.

Also lets blow-up some car engines so they will create blue and black smoke as much as they can when they drive through our streets and don't forget to create some traffic jams so they have to wait for about 30 minutes and let the engines run.

So look for your lighter, go out and BURN - BURN - BURN - BURN - BURN - BURN - BURN

  3. Old peoples Homes do not exist in Thailand, you need to take care yourself 100% - this is not Europe where you can 'rely' on the government.

You can't take care yourself, go home. You need a visa with a minimum yearly income, you don't pass the test, go home - it is that simple here.

The Thai government is NOT a Mother Theresa Foundation that will take care you if you can't anymore.

    My advise for your friend:

    - First of all - VERY, VERY IMPORTANT - make sure passport and visa are correct (does he have a visa to stay here or is he overstay already because then he has a very big problem!)

    - pack you luggage

    - pay your outstanding bills

    - buy a one way ticket and go home.

Again - I don't want to be rude - but that is the way it works here.....

    Good luck.

  4. Often wondered why you see so few solar panels here. I would have thought that if they are viable anywhere this would be the place.

    1. They are extremely expensive to buy here. (tax)

    2. When they get too hot, output is lowered.

Wind is a better alternative. It is available 24 hours a day.

Wind is - just like solar - now always available, I don't know where you live but today is windless where I live......

  5. If you are lucky they serve beer or other alcoholic drinks in a tea / coffee pot.

Just buy your drinks in a 'pap and mom' shop and ask them to put it in a paper bag so nobody can see what is inside.

While 7/11, restaurant and hotels follow - have to follow - the rules, 'pap and mam' stores can still sell.

At 7/11 for example the register will block selling alcoholic drinks so they can't sell you, 'pap and mam' stores use a plastic bucket as a register :-)

  6. I once read that the only reason why you should run a virus scanner on a Linux computer is to scan attachments from your e-mail system because if you read your e-mail and it has an attachments WITH a virus and you forward it, the receiver will now have a virus as well!

I don't think there are viruses for Linux active at the moment.
