  1. Not a hope in hell.

If you are a complete novice you will never get into the game here. Even back home you would struggle to get your foot on the first rung of the ladder. Time for a re think my friend. Don't waste your money on the survival course.

Very inspiring thoughts blink.png I believe if you set your mind to something with the right attitude and commitment you can achieve your goalswai2.gif

You forgot the shower girl. I live pretty good on 35 - 45k a month in BKK. I plan to move up or down country soon and probably live in on less. No wife, but plenty of giks. I eat like a thai, go to a cheap gym, have my own scooter and take a trip once a month.

  4. i've had a really good experience with kasikorn bank here on samui. mae nam branch staff are very friendly and actually helpful, in spite of the fact that i've never kept any funds there they have issued me several cards based on WP and salary. SCB on the other hand, the same branch where i've had the same account for over 5 years with direct deposit of my salary each month are the least helpful and most incompetent bank employees i've ever seen in my life, anywhere. absolutely horrible service and they won't issue a CC to foreigners without "guarantee" deposit.

Totally agree with you. I have just opened a new account with Kasikorn Bank and must say that I'm really happy with their services. Not all of the staff speak English but I must say that they are much more friendly, helpful than SCB's staff. I will definitely recommend K Bank for any farangs here.

I concur with the congeniality of the Kbank staff. Wondering about their Premier credit card - the girl really couldn't explain it fully and transcribing the brochure is a pain in the ass. Does anyone have one of these and what are the benefits?

  5. As they are all the rage, for those seeking to kick the addiction, I'd be curious if any of the members have had success with the E-cigs as a substitute - or if there are any such statistics solidifying their claims?

I've used them for a 1 year and 10 months and haven't had a tobacco cigarette in that time. I was a pack and a half a day smoker for 30 years. Now if I could just quit the e- cigsrolleyes.gif
