  1. Just remember it does rain in this country and water and floor tiles equals you know what..

Amazing Thailand when smooth tiles installed outdoors, when non-slip tiles and slate is available. Skating rink man!
  2. Limburger? Legendary but honestly I can say I have never encountered it. Stinky French stuff but...

Limburg is the southernmost of the 12 provinces of the Netherlands. It is in the southeastern part of the country, they even speak another language, nothing like the other provinces. ;)

I made an ignorant comment about Holland. "Limburger" I only thought about Germany.

I wish the rest of the worlds cultural differences could be addressed as calmly as is Benelux linguistic polarization and official recognition of obscure regional dialect.

  3. Wow I saw the MOST beautiful young Korean woman today at a supermarket. With an around same age American husband and two kids. Had to make myself not stare really a stunner, model type.

Problem only she was at least 182cm in height! To tall for my taste.

  4. The Army SHOULD collect all street vendors carts (and all goods and property) from designated bike lanes and load it onto trucks and RUBBISH it.

Don't compensate them bill them for disposal.

Keep this up every day until the nuisance is gone once and for all. The goal should be to have street vendors only in hawker centres like Singapore and day/ night markets as allowed, bid for, and maintained under a sustainable system where we have commercial street culture but also proper pavements for pedestrians, lanes for cyclists, and roads for cars.

  5. the blade screws loosen over time, that can cause the shaking, if they were working fine before. Do they go slow on all three speeds? They do wear out....The Thais aren't big users of ceiling fans the same way that Thai housekeepers will mop the floor a thousand times before cleaning the high up cob webs once...it's not in their comfort zone, and part of superstitious beliefs.

Yep Well taken care of Toilets in restaurant, cobwebs above years old. Probably also a reason Condo groundsmen collect every leaf daily from parking lot but

pigeons and rats flattened by cars are left to decompose indefinitely. These fans have a wide range of quality levels and motor types. Motor won't last forever especially if blade balance is not maintained. Older models motor can be replaced more easily than the newfangled DC drive with all their electronics. Really a great thing when used with AC.

Have two Hatari wall units with remote. From Siam Electric, cheap, plastic blades. If they ever broke I would just get new ones.

  6. Shirts with beer labels would be considered promotion of alchohol and hence ilegal.

    And tasteless.

Don't know if such T-shirts are sold anymore, in Chiang Mai. This is currently given away at a friends Korean bar to encourage purchase/

consumption of a certain brand of antipodean swill. My first beer vest. Tried it on, surprised it did not automatically animate my spirit with a sense of

    boorishness.

Perhaps the guy needs to go to Sukhumvit Road or Patpong. Where sex toys are displayed for all and sundry. ED drugs dispensed without prescription on the street.

Where pirate DVDs, knuckle dusters, tasers, crossbows/dangerous looking bladed weapons and all manner of other "illegal" goods are sold openly (for some reason)biggrin.png .
