Soccer is much more fun to watch than American football.
Best of luck to Mr. Brady. This is his 2nd retirement. I suspect he came out of retirement to make up for his big losses in cryptocurrency.

https://news.yahoo.com/chicago-schools-watchdog-finds-hundreds-021144183.html
My favourite one single example would be Alden Bunag, it is a standout due to his tweets(absolutely echoing the left wing narrative here) blaming the right wing for making up the grooming issue while at the same time he was grooming children. Busted, big time.
it went from
"In posts on Twitter now viral, Bunag accuses conservatives of "defending fascists" and "projecting" in vitriolic exchanges about "groomers" and sex education."
to
"The criminal complaint alleged 33-year-old Alden Bunag shared videos of himself "having sexual intercourse with a boy identified by name," referred to in the complaint as 13-year-old "male victim 1."
You're welcome now please stop falsely claiming grooming never happens
So, let's take a closer look at this. Your link says 300 substantiated cases, but doesn't say how many staff members that included, since many perpetrators are responsible for more than one case. It most certainly doesn't spell out what it considers as grooming, and there is nothing to indicate how many involved any type of grooming. But that's to be expected as your story originates from Fox News.
You also chose a period of time with unusually high case numbers. Here's from the actual report:
April 28, 2021
Presentation to the Board of Education Investigations of Sexual Allegations,
The OIG opened 142 cases
from July 1, 2020, through
March 31, 2021, compared
with 388 cases during the
same period in 2019-20.It would appear that they have been able to reduce the number without banning any books.
The reports you cite includes all staff and vendors for both public and private schools The Chicago public school system has 39,323 staff positions and has 340,658 students. If you search sexual assaults, Illinois doesn't rate in the top 10.
Your other link is for one person. It is hardly representative of much of anything.
The sexual abuse of children is horrible, but it is clear that banning books has zero influence on it.

I find it most odd that among your usual false claims (on a factual news discussion forum?) you claim to be "targeted" by DeSantis's effort to protect kids. Constantly going on about nonsensical genocide, fascists and ridiculous claims about intent of laws that are solely created to protect vulnerable children seems out of place where others are forced to use credible sources to back up assertions made. Not you though?
They aren't anti-grooming laws, they are anti-LGBTQ laws. Stop with the lying. A previous poster gave a link to a list of common perpetrators. Teachers aren't even on the list. Drag Queens doing story hour at a library aren't either. These laws are for the purpose of continued discrimination against any group the right-wingers don't like.

The girl thought her mama ain't nuthin' but a hound dog.
The question is did she actually make that addendum? It was not notarized, it apparently didn't go through her attorney either. From the linked article:
The petition alleges that, among other issues surrounding the amendment, Priscilla Presley did not receive the amendment while her daughter was alive as required by her Trust and that the document misspells Priscilla’s name. The petition also alleges the amendment was not witnessed or notarized and questions the authenticity Lisa Marie’s signature. -

14 minutes ago, heybruce said:We're starting on the 9th page on this topic and still nobody has given any examples of actual indoctrination or grooming going on in Florida schools. No real-world examples in spite of repeated requests and challenges to do so.
Florida ranks poorly in public education, has a home insurance market on the point of collapse, water quality problems caused by agricultural run-off and poor sewage systems all around the state (causing algae blooms making tourist beaches intolerable) and many other problems.
What doe DeSantis do? He hypes non-issues such as a make-believe education emergency and passes laws that get blocked by the courts (at taxpayer expense), gets lots of publicity and Fox News appearances, and positions himself for a run for the Presidency. Meanwhile the state he is supposed to be governing goes down the tubes.
You won't get any examples of grooming or indoctrination because it seldom happens and is as rare as hen's teeth among classroom and subject teachers. Teachers handling a class full of students aren't interested in grooming or indoctrination. They are interested in keeping their student's attention and maintaining some sense of order in the classroom.
Grooming takes time. It takes a lot of time. It requires establishing a personal relationship with a particular child, and it requires isolating the child from peers. If you want to look at places where children get groomed, then look at people like coaches, priests and ministers and those involved in activities involving camping likes scouts. I have no intention of tarnishing any of those professions as the very vast majority of coaches, priests and scout leaders are genuinely helping children and are trustworthy.
In the classroom, a teacher gets watched closely. They get watched for any type of favoritism, and that makes the classroom a pretty poor environment for grooming.
I don't know what type of indoctrination most of the right-wingers are talking about. I suspect they think that students might end up 'woke' or not be anti-racist or anti-gay. Or maybe they think they are going to convert them to Islam? The only time I am aware of those issues coming up in a classroom when some student is being bullied and a discussion as to why we can't call Suzy, Slant Eyes or why calling little Joey a <deleted> isn't permitted.
Much of what is being done is to make the classroom a rather inhospitable place for those who are not what the right wing considers as 'normal'.

Please supply a link to credible media to support this (completely false) assertion.
There's little doubt that Putin planned on taking over Ukraine but all he had to do was wait for Trump's 2nd term when he planned on withdrawing from NATO. He also planned on abandoning South Korea leaving little Kim to have all his dreams come true:
Trump was planning to withdraw US from Nato and ditch South Korea alliance, according to new bookDonald Trump was considering pulling out of Nato and cutting the US’s alliance with South Korea if he won the 2020 election, according to an account of his private meetings with top aides.
I Alone Can Fix It: Donald J Trump’s Catastrophic Final Year is a behind-the-scenes account of Mr Trump’s last year in the White House, authored by Pulitzer Prize-winning reporters Phil Rucker and Carol Leonnig.

There is a lot to unpack in this situation. It seems that the US has a problem not only with racism, but with policing in general. That's a pretty violent attack for a traffic stop.

This story has a lot to unpack. I think many think that most police violence is racial in nature -- at least that's what seems to make national news. This would seem to negate that idea. Is there a systemic problem with police violence? Do we need to look at police training in general? Is there a culture of violence in the police in general?

Yesterday I made a chicken casserole for 4 people. Total cost £3.80.
Chicken, mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, spinach and red pepper. Served with jacket potatoes. 10 minutes prep, 50 minutes cooking time.
Cheap, wholesome food with minimal fat content. Just a bit of effort needed.
For many people, they are located far from a green grocer or a decent grocery store. Local convenience stores tend to sell highly refined food, high in salt, sugar and fat and now in nutrition.

A big part of the problem is that so many people are relegated to eating very unhealthy food with a very high fat content.

I'm sure that won't stop the climate change cult claiming it's due to increased CO2/fossil fuels/animal farts and that we've all got to live in caves and eat bugs to stop natural weather cycles that have been going for millenia.
Climate Change is real and it is due to a rise in CO2 levels. Otherwise, your post seems to be a little on the hysterical order.

It's important to remember that alcohol is a drug, and the problems created by it isn't significantly different from any of the other drugs.
Once people reach the point of being addicted, it should be handled as a medical problem.
If you look at how difficult it is to control the flow of drugs and how unsuccessful most of the interdiction efforts have been, just imagine how difficult it is to control the flow of alcohol which is legal and readily available.

Well, the NRA is not a major player in lobbying according to Open Secrets. Care to flesh out your assertion a little? The NRA is the constant boogeyman and pales in comparison to Big Pharma or Big Business in lobbying.
No. I am just pointing out that the NRA is not alone.
Gun rights groups spent a record $15.8 million on lobbying in 2021 and $2 million in the first quarter of 2022.
These organizations have invested $190 million in lobbying efforts since 1998. Gun rights advocates spent more than $114 million of that total since 2013.

The NRA spent about $5 million. By contrast the US Chamber of Commerce and US Association of Realtors EACH spent more than $50 million.
The gun lobby is more than just the NRA.

I don't think it's worth discussing racism much in the context of this situation. I think the most obvious thing is the need for a lot more training and SUPERVISION when making stops and arrests. They might want to start with pairing Black and White cops to provide some racial balance. I suspect a white cop is going to be a little more careful in handling a black assailant if his partner is black, and vice versa. That is not the overall solution, but it could be an effective stop gap measure
