  1. Isn't the Minister of Tourism and the anti-alcohol lobby doing their best to shut Thailand down to partying ?

I'm sure this will be more than compensated for by quality tourists forsaking Paris, Rome, NYC etc.

She's doing a great job in my opinion. Far too much partying going on these days.

Why do young people these days love "partying"?

The current youth generation all seem obsessed with spending their Friday/Saturday nights attending parties or 'whore-houses' as they should be known drinking like there is tomorrow and showing zero respect for the bodies of themselves or others. I'd like to know why young people do this to themselves. Why does socializing for them have to involve turning into wild animals and shattering ones moral compasses. These young people should have more dignity and pride in themselves. Instead they are ruining their future by spending their weekends attending whore houses. Why is this young people? Why can't you just go to the cinema/shops/restaurant or try lawn bowling like I do? It's a great way to let of steam!

    Why not ask your son?
  2. Had a visit from the local police this morning, they came with a form that was headed "Transnational Crime Coordination Unit Region 5 (tccu r5)".

They wanted to know name, nationality,DOB,monthly income, mother and fathers name ,telephone number, height, weight, hair colour, any scars, date of marriage place of marriage etc.,any one else had any visits like this?

  3. Hopefully they all go to Phuket or Pattaya. Fortunately, the Russians in Hua Hin tend to either be well behaved families or well mannered couples. Did see one group of loud drunks at the resto a few weeks ago, but they kept to themselves, spent alot and were still better behaved than the lager louts who used to hurl vomit on Bangla.

I personally don't understand the negative hoo-haa about Russians amongst westerners.

They largely look the same as us, we should be welcoming them with open arms, not turning against them. Maybe some of us are jealous when they come on holidays as families and appear to be having a good time, family style, just like our societies were in say the 1960s?

So let's consider the "transgressions" that causes westerners to be anti-Russian:

    1) Westerners don't like Putin. He is the only non-politically correct leader of a major European culture based country left.

    2) Russians don't say hello or smile at their fellow man.

My take: For number 1, Obama, Merkel, the NATO leader they are all stooges who create war. I think Putin is a man of strength and he shouldn't be underestimated. He is handling the Syrian crisis quite well so kudos to him.

For number 2. Oh boo hoo. Who goes around saying hi to random strangers anyway? I find that creepy. I mind my own business when out in public and only talk to people I know or who I'm conducting a transaction with. If you want to get to know me, you're welcome to but have a proper conversation in a bar/restaurant. Excuse me however if I ignore you or run away should you approach me in the street, as only psychopaths or scam artists approach random strangers.

One more thing. Russians are much like Chinese. Russians are like the European Asians. They feel most comfortable around their own kind. Deal with it.

. Do you have a red flag flying over your home ?
  4. ever hear of down shifting?

its the second thing you do after using the emergency brake.

the drivers should be using a combination of down shifting and braking every time they need to slow down.

i know, that is two things to do at once, but you will get the hang of it.

lets hope the kid is OK.

and get these stupid police check points of the roads. they cause more accidents and traffic jams.

changing down with an automatic gearbox, please explain.
