  1. I would use the word capitulation, regarding my attitude twords the service of max net , or drop as I refer to it. I have given up with trying to get help from TTT long ago. When I get shitty service I just find something else to do. I use the internet for pleasure, so no business is lost.

I am curious though. The continual problem of being cut off from the internet connection, or dropped as some refer to it, must mean that there is some kind of problem that could possibly be solved. This has been going on at my home for years now. I have had service to my home and all my connections are fine etc. . Sometimes fine, sometimes forget it. MOst can relate I'm sure.

Is there anyone out there with a technical background that could tell me what the FFFF is going on and why they can't seem to fix it?

  2. MD-82, 1-2-go is the loudest. and they have just started a shuttle. CNX is projected to double to almost 50,000 commercial flights a year in the next 7-10 years. I currently live near the flight path, but will be moving at some point. Or until all the 1-2 go dinosaurs fall out of the sky, they are ridiculously loud.

  3. I had ubc for four years. don't waste your money. buy a dynasat satellite with an f=1 box, get the aguila ku satellite and it is just as good, or just as bad...Ubc sucks, but it dose provide most of the availiable content in this area, which isn't much. It certainly isn't worth the price. But if you like soccer then it is probably worth it, it is on 24/7

  4. check your phone hardware. I suffered for 2 years and finally I had enough and the problem was a 20 baht piece of hardware in my phone box just outside the house. constant dropping of connection and low speed was almost eliminated. it isn't always the problem at maxnet.

  5. I too use Charles Schwab in the US, and was advised not to switch to HK, although they would do it for me. Taxation of US citizens is well-documented, and it won't make a difference where yo do the trading. What is different is that Schwab HK is controlled by different laws, subject to the edicts of HK SAR and mainland China. Too, the services are different, and you should be aware.

thanks backflip, considering all options, just hate giving them any tax revenue

  6. Hi guys,

We are 4 guys from CR that will come for 4 days to play golf. Done it before and played many good courses.

We have Highlands, Mae Jo and Royal Chiang Mai on the agenda but we want one more.

Green Valley or what do you suggest. We are 9-15 hcp´rs.

(I have tried to search the forum but not easy. Search for "golf" and you got 200 topics and noone about golf. Try "golf in Chiang Mai" and then you got an error. )

    Thanks in advance!

    :o:D:D

chiang mai/lamphun golf club...it is near the highlands twords san kampaeng and is probably as good as the others yyou have mentioned

  7. What is the deal with discipline in Thailand? I'm not just talking about little kids either but 16-18 year olds that openly disrespect their parents or any elders for that matter and seem to suffer no consequences. I don't think I've ever seen an adult tell their kid off for anything except perhaps to say they're being too loud but that's it. Classic example today my husband's 18 year old cousin borrowed FILs car this morning with the promise to bring it back in a couple of hours because it was needed in the afternoon. He just got back at 6.30pm and all he got (after causing a lot of inconvenience) was "why are you late?" he blatently lied, got on his motorbike and hooned off! He's done this at least a dozen times but they still let him use the car, borrow money etc...I'm a little baffled by it. Has anyone ever seen a Thai couple discipline their kids or teenagers? Do the farang with kids have issues with their spouse because of discipline issues?

Because the word "responsibility" has no meaning in Thailand

    that is a great post
