  1. advantages:

    1. do not have to go outside country every 90 days with visa run, they suck.

    2. do not have to go outside to get a non-Imm. visa every 15 months(trip to US is expensive and long)

    3. thai wife is a tax deduction (US tax law, but don't tell her she will want it)

    4. I don't cook and she is a great cook

    5. I don't wash anything

    6. I don't have to listen to "when are we getting married?"

    7. I don't pay bills

    8. I don't have to shop for most anything

of course there are disadvantages, but will save that for another thread.

    Good luck

  2. This subject again? There are at least 3 threads of this type on the Pattaya forum & one on the family & children one, that I know of with a load of suggestions on how to kill dogs. Why not read them, OP instead of starting another thread of that ilk? Don't know about anyone else, but I find threads of this sort offensive & the subject has been discussed ad infinitum elsewhere. My suggestion would be to call your local authority & get the dog caught & collected by them, but that's obviously not nearly as much fun as plotting as gory a demise as possible, is it?

"call the local authorities and get the dog caught". .................. yea right. lol

  3. thais have particular habits, drive here long enough and you will learn them. LIke never looking when entering traffic, they tend to only look foreward when driving, tailgateing is a favorite, turning and changing lanes without notice. and dont swerve for soi dogs! they are certainly not worth it.

  4. I had one snap one day, they are like bombs getting ready to explode. I blew it off until it happened one day, very strange behavior. I don't use the finger as much anymore, they understand that.

  5. At the 700 year sports facility you will find excellent tennis instruction.

Kun anon played on the national team a few years back and loves to work with kids.

Kun wat, who owns the one of the tennis shops is also a good teacher.

they speak enough english. Kun anons phone # is 09-557-6162

  6. In chiang mai, this is the time of year where the 3 or 4 thousand songtaews running around tend to irritate me. If you want to clean up chiang mai, that would be a perfect start. But, that is a big if.

  7. Lucky you.

Don`t expect an answer in a month though. It usually takes another couple of monthly reports. Also expect a visit to check that you actually do live together.

The hardest part is over though.

I just did mine for the fourth time. It gets easier because they know who you are. This year I got the stamp in a month and they didn't visit the house.

  8. jomama,

I live in Chiang Mai. All your points are valid and I enjoyed your observations. Thank god I fall under the retired category because working here wouldn't be too much fun I suspect. Good luck in China.
