Defending one's country is perhaps the most important task of government (as Machiavelli wrote 500 years ago). Are we succeeding in doing this? More than 60 years ago, I actually bought a book by Harold Wilson (!). It was 'pre-election fodder' but he wrote 'Why do we need a nuclear arsenal? WHO EXACTLY ARE WE GOING TO USE IT AGAINST?

I'm 80 years old and I have cancers. I need to check any deterioration in my bone cancer. I had an MRI about eighteen months ago at one of CM's most expensive hospitals. It's a hospital I've used for 16 years without any complaint BUT I had a bad time in the MRI scan. I thought the operators were negligent and showed little concern or care. I won 't go into details. The important thing is can anyone recommend an MRI site where the operators/technicians are compassionate, fully professional and won't treat me like a slab of old meat?
