    Because you do not pay 400 baht to visit most of those places! If you have been to Samet you would be surprised to know it was being protected.

    The minimum wage would be much higher if the 'deserving good people' and the 'undeserving serfs' mentality disappeared. And if the rich people paid their taxes.

    Everyone is talking very sensibly about their experiences. Mine is that if you open your mouth in a Thai dentists they are already talking about root canal treatment whereas in a country like mine, UK, they would think this was unusual. And just give you a filling. Thoughts?

    'no need for panic' typical response of these people. We don't know what we are doing, but you can trust us to form a committee that will take so long you will forget what the problem was in the first place.

    There are far too many restaurants, noodle soup places, fast food venues, cafes with food etc etc. Covid made many customers get used to ordering online too. There is too much of everything in Thailand......except customers.

    Over manning is huge. What would the wages be if 8 people weren't standing nodding and smiling behind the one person actually doing the job.

    If the large brewers were sensible this would be the incentive to brew quality beers themselves. They are equipped to do it and their distribution networks are all in place. Or, they could copy the big western brewers and just buy up the best of their rivals.

    The true tradition is lovely. The days of drunken boorishness are a travesty.

    A bar with Keith Moon, Oliver Reed, Richard's Harris and Burton could be joined by Georgie Best and Lee Marvin and have good profits from their higher prices. But the behavior would not be what you seem to be aiming for. Most Brits are just quietly enjoying their well deserved holiday. Enough fun taxes already.

    'some visitors are calling for more relaxed alcohol rules.' This means many others want these restriction laws to continue...... Or lazy, don't upset anyone journalism, so typical here. If you have a point to make, make it!

    Agreed. Just do it for all passengers who would like a beer as they watch the world go by. Tourism not relevant.
