No doubt BB will disagree with you as his last valuation was something like 1.2B or perhaps even 1.4B ????????
Lets just settle on 1.5bn is it shuts BB up. Gotta worth it , right? And maybe someone could criticize the bogs perhaps or the window tinting on the executive boxes!!!????
On a more serious note, it is satisfying seeing television presenters and journalists across the board swooning over it. Despite the huge cock up in finishing it, which i believe has cost us dearly this season everyone seems quite taken by the finished article. And from the way Uncle Joe was blubbering throughout the opening ceremony the old boy certainly feels a sense of achievement and so he should. Might as well enjoy the praise now because Real Madrid's new build will be starting in the not too distant future

After this announcement this really is a pivotal summer for us in the transfer market, especially if we are expecting to part company with Toby and Eriksen.

Apparently lots of scuffles and ejections in/from the Park Lane stand last night. All down to a number of fans wanting to sit. Not a crime i hear you say, and you'd be right. However..........
Unlike anyway else in the ground there was a very specific thought process behind this area of the ground. This needs to be addressed and frankly, baring in mind the reason behind the "Wall" being designed and built you should not really be buying a ticket for this stand if you are a silent and in particular, sitting supporter. I know the argument of i bought a seat and i'll sit in it but in respect of this part of the stadium i don't agree, you need to respect and go with the flow.
Just my opinion of course but i'd be interested in what other Spurs fans think.

knel, you'd think it was the opening of the Olympics...football stadium, get on with it.
Best thing about it is their ability to fill a non-biodegradable plastic cup with beer ????
Its what i'm reading from the journey Bob. They're the ones knocking one out over it!!!!! And i really have to defend it when the likes of Rick is suggesting were doomed and the next minute i'm looking at their hovel of a stadium with that astonishingly crap brick wall behind the dugout! Naff or what!
Don't worry, despite the grandeur of the new White Hart Lane, there's still a very high chance of getting muggged within five minutes of leaving the stadium!
On a more serious note, i'm not hearing very good reports about the supposedly upgraded rail links.

A load of horse manure that....a team who sold their best midfielder in January and couldn't replace him easily.
It will happen this summer along with a few other ins and outs and a new Pochettino team will emerge stronger than before.
Well they do seem to have forgotten that we are planning a freshening up in the transfer market this summer so its not our fault that the detractors are a bit behind the times and Balleagues article somewhat irrelevant.
Or maybe its not if we are considered the only side in the league that cannot freshen up and have to run a squad into the ground!!!
Actually, it's little more than a well written, irrelevant load of cobblers if we do indeed, as planned bring in new faces this summer! If the journalist is doing anything he's simply backing up what Poch has said recently about new players being needed so its simply stating the bleeding obvious. However, i'd expect the usual suspects to salivate over it????

So, Hazard to Real Madrid in the summer if Zidane wants him. Next..........

It's a bit quiet. What about those U2 engineered acoustics? Not even a 19 minute box
dive from Kane raised too much of a buzz.
For a moment i thought i'd see Salah and Firmino make a spectacular dive from the Sky Bar......
Kane is very much little league in the dark arts compared to those two as well you know Bobby!!

WOW, the jealousy of posters regards our new stadium is palpable this morning!! Get over yourselves and move onto the "but its going to bankrupt you" discussion.......and show a bit of respect to a modern wonder of a stadium fittingly to match the reputedly best training center in the country!????
Back to football if i may, and i really didn't find it an enjoyable experience. I doubt many if any of us would have found ourselves playing the opening game at the new stadium on the back of no league wins in four games playing Palace who are in a much better run of form than us. Add to that a high degree of pressure.
Lloris was given the nod, possibly undeservedly but i think it was the right decision. Winks was given a late run out, equally expected. Palace well organized, looking for the point and fortunately we found a way through. Not much more to say about things as Palace came offering so little.
-
Lamela, Dier, Aurier and Llorente all unavailable. Harry Winks is 50/50.
I think he'll select Lloris but one more unforced error and that might well be it. Amongst fans theres already a very high percentage that want to see Gazzaniga starting.

My guess is Poch declined but Ole was more than game having had plenty of previous in his younger days.
Why does Rick think that Fergie smashing down Ole's back door, as it were, has anything Spurs related?????
Anyway, back to football and In Poch's case i never thought he wanted the United job anyway, what he wanted was for Levy to give him a decent transfer kitty this summer and he's made that point very bluntly in the last couple of days. If we cop out over these next two windows i think we will lose him, but surely Levy must see this too and will act accordingly. Fulham's striker and left sided midfield would be a good start. We'll also likely be needing to replace Toby and Eriksen.

Poor old Utd still heading for Thursday night footy too!!
The honeymoon is over. The euphoria in Mourinho's departure was understandable as is his replacement being a club legend, but now it's reality check time.
btw Ronnie, was Rick's rather peculiar post suggesting that Ferguson was shagging Ole in preference to Poch? Couldn't make head nor tail of it....????

Lot of doomsayers misjudging this England team from the off and Southgate. Also the pundits claiming it was an easy passage to the semis. Face it, we have a great team and a lot of talent at our disposal and we are going to be real contenders for the next couple of tournaments at least. The backline will feature Gomez and Arnold in the future so it will be stronger.
Well it clearly was an easy passage to the semis!!! We lost to the only two decent teams we played quite convincingly, that's the reality. i don't understand why more England supporters can't be more honest about this.
That said, there's a lot of talent around now and reasons to be quite optimistic about the future although why Pickford is still in goal is beyond me.

Spurs are destined for doom. Their manager has had the equivalent of the girl of his dreams flash before his eyes, but he's no closer to getting her. Why? Because the guy from next door, who knows her better than anyone, sealed the deal. When they started dating, nobody expected it to last, but he proved everybody wrong. Were lunches with Fergie (her father) all in vain? Maybe, maybe not, but Poch will just have to bide his time.
Was this post really worth the effort?!!!????

We started set up as a 352 which was no surprise, certainly what i was expecting although i didn't expect Liverpool to dominate they way they did in the first half and it was somewhat fortuitous we came in only one goal down.
Second half saw a correct tactical shift switching to a back four and a four man midfield. We were extremely good from this point on and a draw was the least we deserved, msome might say all three points but whichever way you look at it, that was a cruel result.
Two further points regards Lloris and van Dijk. Hugo needs to be dropped and Gazzaniga given a start. I've been saying this for months, it's not a knee jerk reaction. The defense needs to trust the keeper and i can't see how they do, this season being littered with his unforced errors and howlers.
My last point is regards superb defending by van Dijk. he knew Sissoko and not a finisher and he clearly knew he was also a right footed player that was immediately looking to feed the ball to Son who would in all probability buried it. So, he deliberately held his ground to block off that option knowing there was a much greater chance of Sissoko missing which was no great surprise to me. (He is one of our best players this season but will never be a finisher.) Brilliant savvy defending by a player that will be there or thereabouts for the Poxy award.
What that game did remind me of is that we can still go toe to toe with the leagues best and simply need to concentrate on our results till the end of the season and forget about what the others are doing because i saw little from United or Chelsea this weekend to overly concern me and i rate Arsenal lee than them. In fairness, i think the United players looked jaded from the Sky Sports Ole Gunner wankfest that exploded onto our screens within minutes of his appointment. But, well done to him nonetheless, he thoroughly deserved a contract.

He either cannot say what he wants or he is interested as he has not publicly ruled it out in any interview.
United defeat against PSG was the worse scenario for the rumour mill as I’m sure many of United top brass and fans will be comparing and contrasting their game with yours and asking questions re what would have happened if Poch was managing that game, would he get the best and consistency out of top players like Martial, like he has with Son.......the list is endless.
I'll say one more time.....he has ruled himself out publicly. I listened to it. I just told you what he said!!!!
I'm really not lying!
How can he help it if Sky just won't stop pushing it, probably because they know that the Messiah's going to get found it and will not take United further from the europa league side they are. We all know Pochettino is a vastly better manager/coach than the Messiah but were relying on United fans buying into the "he's United through and through" and making another stupid appointment. Theres a really god chance of that too.

If that’s the case why is he being gagged to speak about United and confirm he’s not interested should they come calling. ?
Nip it in the bud, move on. Job done
What, as in we don't want journalists from Sky turning our press conferences in questions as to why he's not going to United!! Come on!!! He can say what he wants but were not having it at our club press conferences.
Theres not a club in the world that would allow that to be going on. However, you listen to Sky and there's not a day goes by when they aren't going on about why he has to go to United
Don't Sky know United have the new Messiah? Tactically unaware but the Messiah nonetheless. I'm just praying Ole doesn't get found out too soon, because we'll have to continue listening to Sky and Talkshite

Yes I agree with them back the second leg should be straightforward.
If you get knocked out now after that performance and with an even stronger team it would be a disaster.
Straigtforward statement maybe but but he’s not publicly ruled out the possibility of mangong the likes of Madrid or United and the club won’t let him discuss it so it will remain.
Sorry but he's publicly said he intends to stay at Spurs for the long term and full fill his ambitions at the club.
What on earth more do people want him to say?!!!
And yes, were not yet through, but getting knocked out now would be an unmitigated disaster.
United belong in the europa clearly................we do not. Ask Rick!!????
