  1. One of the hallmarks of the Pochettino era at Spurs is the change in, mentality, mindset.

We've taken more points from scoring in the last ten minutes than any other club in the league, proving that in this era the Spursy label is now an empty slogan used by behind the times idiots.

Now used apparently any time we lose!!????

I also heard from a pundit the other day that we can have a big impact on the title chase!!!!????

You just couldn't make all this sh1t up!!????

True that, but can you picture Levy throwing $50M for him ? Not even in the movies !

With some of the talent coming out of the academy why would he even consider.

50m for this kid!!!  What must Oliver Skipp be worth?!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Good result with City winning, although i was hoping for a bit more from Leicester.

Chelsea at the end of the month and Arsenal soon after.  Those results and the next two league games should decide a top four finish.

On a side not, i wonder how long it will be before Real Madrid start coming for Rashford?!!  Magnificent talent.

I doubt that Spurs' fans put much confidence in that one.

None whatsoever.  All this rubbish comes out just after the transfer window closes too.  Just some hack without a decent story to write about.

Not to mention our chip butty who has brown sauce dribbling down the back of his legs once more.

Apparently they are finishing in a CL spot while we'll end up sixth!

Like we said, when they lose a couple more games the new lot will disappear and then there will be the usual two.  Bar the old school who know better,  the RedNose Sky Sports United fan still thinks its his era and they have that feeling of entitlement because they started supporting the club in a generation of great success.  Now they don't deal with defeat and mediocrity well, and neither with criticism.

It must be difficult when reality bites and you realize your noisy neighbors almost consider beating you as a natural course and don't really view you as competition anymore.  Spurs fans know that feeling well so its all a big reminder that every dog has its day and no club has any entitlement to anything.  Playing United will always be a big game because they are the biggest club in the country but that means nothing regards what's going on on the pitch.

  6. Just to follow on from the last post,  to keep it real if you like, we still have Liverpool, City and Chelsea to play away.  If there is a positive its that Kane and Dele will be back and baring the injury debacle carrying on we should be at full strength from march onwards.  I mention the away games because we need to maintain that buffer from Arsenal and those three away games are going to be immensely tough.

  7. Funny to see that the BBC has Son down as MOM!  Yes, he was good, as he generally is but i read a post match interview transcript by Pochettino and he singled out Davinson Sanchez which i completely agree with.  He dealt with Rondon superbly and Perez who was making good runs down the flank.  What a player he is already but what a player he's going to mature into. He has everything, strong mentality, cool head under pressure,  pace, movement,  turns fast and the particular asset of a top quality defender....he often doesn't need to make the tackle.   He'll be right up there with the worlds best this time next year, if he isn't already.

Then consider we have Foyth and Walker-Peters, to step in, why the <deleted> would Poch leave, he's building for the future. Winks, Skipp and Amos in the midfield too, Lloris' future replacement already there, its all coming to fruition.  Its actually quite easy to see why he wants to stay.  And lets face it, we'll be much better, much stronger when we get into our new home.

Yes with both Kane and Alli back end of this month we should finish very strongly....interesting times for us!

Dele's back sooner, possibly for Dortmund.  But yes, the squad is good enough, not to win the title perhaps but good enough to have us sitting where we are right now and possibly causing the two clubs that are apparently competing for the title to have a little look over their shoulders.

Ofcourse, the best part of this is once again making Sky Sports and their anti Spurs bias look stupid again.  And Talksport  but to be fair they have always been clueless gobshites.

Dirty as hell but I love it.

If we can beat Leicester and Burnley and Arsenal hopefully get beaten by City i think we are nailed for top four.  Starting to win late and a bit ugly but who cares.  And contrary to a the rubbish said on here the fact that we are second at least for the time being after all these injuries proves our squad obviously was good enough and Poch was right not to panic buy with players he hadn't targeted.

  10. Won our last three games in the last ten minutes.......really lacks bottle that doesn't it!!!!

This was exactly the difficult match i thought it would be. Benitez is way too good a manager to be working for a bloke like Ashley.  Newcastle very well drilled playing to a game plan and doing it extremely well.

I didn't like the team selection and thought that Rose and Llorente should have started and in Llorente case, if he had have been gifted that header that was messed up by Lucas Moura we would have been 1-0 up early on.

Anyway, as has been our was under Pochettino we didn't give up, getting the belief and eventually got through.  Bit harsh on a brave Newcastle side but i think we deserved it.

Next up Leicester and Burnley, with Dele Alli back from injury very soon.  But lets not forget Dortmund on Valentines day.....

The Harry Kane Team is 2nd playing without Harry Kane.  Thats quite funny!!!

Let's not forget their sense of entitlement....how dare you score against us....our players cost ten times what yours did!

They need to suck it up and remember its not just a team game....its a club game nowadays.

It's quite simple, we have had an agenda for a few years now and things are starting to come together.  We have a terrific manager thats made it quite clear he's with us for the long haul  If we were to win tonight we could go second.  Thats it.

I just wish those posters from yesterday would just get over it.  Or set up a separate thread to bore each other about the way Spurs are conducting ourselves.\ and it seem how you resent the fact that we are where we are spending <deleted> all.

We simply don't want to deal with your insecurities chaps.  Get over it!!

The Mancs are all in hiding carms....their stupidity has hit them like a double decker bus this week.

We get shown precious little respect and always get talked down by pundits, and I'm just sick to death of how , by virtue of promoting homegrown players we always seem to upset the petty vanity of the fans of big spending clubs  It's their problem, i wish they would deal with it.

Yes buying your entire squad is rather sad....how many home grown do Madrid or Barca have in their squad I wonder?

    Let's not forget Foden though!!

Oh yes how could we forget Foden, City regular an all that!!

Unless we discussing Foden, and Christ have we discussed Foden, please don't discuss homegrown players, those deep inadequacies with start coming to the fore again.  ????

Remember, the only way to do it is buy big and any club that doesn't is tight fisted and not ambitious!!????

Perhaps that also refers to clubs that don't break the rules.

  14. Apparently were not massive over achievers were just bottlers!!????????  No no lets just say were Spursy.  It's a far more of a pleasant fiction to carry on about situations that are long in the past.  How many years ago was the Redness Nose quip of "Lads its Tottenham delivered?"  A long long time ago.

Bit like United fans thinking they still hold the power they did under RedNose!!!!

And I wonder if all City fans are as hung up about us as Bredbury Bore? And do they still crave for the respect they will never have for their recent haul of silverware?

All the talk of plateaus and its Man Shiitty who appear to be taking a freefall dive right now whilst they concentrate on the mickey mouse cup....oh and the happy chavs who have just shelled out another 60m quid.

    Still loving it boys.

The situation right now is that we are still only two points behind City and could conceivably be above them tonight.  Having spent $690m less.  It shows we are improving, moving in the right direction. The academy is working extremely well.  We just need to have a bit less bad luck with injuries.

i couldn't be happier.  And i love what they've been posting on here.  They're running out of anything original and judge spewing out what the <deleted> pundits say.  Wait till we get some more of the lads back fit.  City already bottling it, Liverpool looked a bit nervous, Chelsea are not very good at the moment, Arsenals defense is crap.........apparently now United could win the champions league so i presume the Messiah will be focusing on that.  Meanwhile, we'll just keep our heads down and try and take every game as it comes and for sure, Newcastle will be well set up by a very clever manager and will be very difficult to beat.

How much have Utd spent to languish in sixth!!!

Oh they grasp it alright, they just don't like it.  Hence the deeply rooted inadequacies that is so glaringly obvious in our trolling bore from the City thread.

I mean, <deleted>....they've been having an Ole Gunnar wankfest on the United thread and they're still in 6th position.

And as for Bredbury Bore, he just seems content to come on here and make a right knob of himself.  Hey ho!!

  17. Nice to see everyones still enjoying their obsession with us not buying players and spending money!!

Did you know that since the summer of 2014 City have a net spend of  $750m and Spurs have a net spend of $64m, and we sit only two points behind them.  Our academy is producing with the evidence clear to see.  We are clearly gaining on the other clubs without spending so who are any of you to say otherwise?

And of course, I am aware of the deep inadequacies held by some and the feelings of dread felt by others that a club spending so little could start winning trophies!????

See your young lad Sterling on loan to Sunderland. Player I’ve seen you say you rate?

Yes he's highly rated but very raw.  Poch obviously thinks Llorente is the better short term back up and Kane's rehabilitation is advanced from what was previously feared.  But yes, Sterling is very highly rated and needs game time to develop for next season.

Yeah. Rumours Spurs and West Ham both in for Batshuyai. Apparently loan terms agreed with WHU but now just announced Palace are going to buy him!........edit, now a loan deal!

There absolutely no chance Chelsea will loan him to Spurs.

Any news on the white elephant, i mean the new ground opening? Will it be this year?

I cant see why Pochettino would want to join them.  All that hard work done at Spurs only to have to start again.

He'll be staying at Spurs long term, true to his word and lead the players out in what is going to be the best stadium in the country.........when it opens!!!!!

The only area of dispute is the future of Eriksen.

So concludes another busy window for us!

Seven pts behind the leaders and we are collapsing as usual...oh and we're going to finish behind the great Man Yoo then they will steal our manager etc etc. ????

Only two points behind City after 24 games......thats just mad!!!

And yes, losing our manager, losing our top players, a club in crisis, strapped by stadium debt......

Truth is, the way players and manager have coped with the Wembley, debacle, injury ravaged season is nothing short of remarkable.

Tough game i think against Newcastle.  Nick a win and with Arsenal likely to lose to City, it will be another stepping stone to another top four. Still a number of players out but we can at least field a half decent side now.  We have to remind ourselves that we still have to play City, Liverpool and Chelsea away so were going to need a bit of a buffer from Chelsea, United and Arsenal.

    Thats not true .

There was one instance this season , where a Chelsea fan yelled at Sterling , "You manc ****" , which the media tried to make out that he yelled "Black *****" .

The other instances have been Chelsea fans singing songs about Tottenham  , although the songs do contain the word "yid" , its not anti semetic abuse , its songs about Spurs  .

Same as oppo sing songs as about Chelsea rent boys , that isnt homophobic abuse , just abuse in general .

The Club has also clamped down on Chelsea singing songs about Spurs .

Spurs are allowed to sing "Yid Army" , but Chelsea fans  cannot mention it , to avoid upsetting Spurs fans

You've not heard the hissing in reference to gas chambers or  the Spurs are on their way to Auchwitz song then!  Sorry, but i beg to differ.
