  1. sure, but you probably don't get very good odds on that...
  2. 4.3% is 3 months treasury bills - - - and my 800,000 +++++ is in the bank here for over 20 years. I live here too and whenever the rates are good, I bring more money here. Any investments here, as in farmland etc are in my wife's name and she has done terrific with that which has the added benefit of the family making money farming the land for free while my wife has done very well as land prices have increased. And my investments in the USA vary from some dividend oriented funds that have been yielding 14% + and downward from there to index funds as well... I am fairly well diversified and the 800,000 Thai baht in the bank is a very small portion. As I am getting older, I am somewhat more conservative, as the mood strikes - funds are mostly easily moved around, but the older I get, the more conservative I have been. Sometimes I even do a little day trading which is mostly gambling and I keep it limited. Diversification helps me sleep easy... though a sleep aid would be nice too.
  3. I think you have the figures backwards... it will take you 10% more dollars to buy that 800,000 baht... and the 1.5% interest is well below the 4.3% that I am getting on government bonds in the USA - - If you are talking about 800,000 baht that you bought long ago, it probably has not kept up with inflation here...
  4. That Trump might be successful at one of his goals? That's NYC - is the rest of the country inflating at the same rate? And what are the real estate prices like in the city now? How are prices in Tribeca? How much is a big roast beef sandwich at the corner deli? Or a slice of Ray's Pizza? Might be worth a flier...
  5. Just looks like a slight twist of a name, usually something Freudian involved?? Laxative, Laxada, maybe a desire or need to relax - who knows? Not as brave as your reveal... Trans Sam... - I have no idea - it just reads that way... you are probably one of the saner posters here... and no problem with being vaxxed - right?
  6. families can be very stressful - maybe some time w/good friends would be better - - or learn to meditate.
  7. Yes, very true and if an insurer balks at payment, what happens? Do the hospitals absorb the cost or does the patient die of an easily treatable condition? Meds can get expensive too. what are most elderly doing? I have heard that something like 95% of people in the USA die broke from medical expenses - especially if they live into their 90s...
  8. Are you now the judge of others answers? Up your nose dude...
  9. Not a good idea - - they will be grateful for a short while, if that is what you are hoping for - then they will become people, with hopes and wants and dreams.... and Scuba probably has it right that they likely have mental issues - you are choosing someone who is likely unable to function...
  10. Are you a motorcycle taxi driver?
  11. not sure that is what I am looking for - - maybe a bit more quality? who has the Boars Head Roast beef?
  12. Yo Patsy, Is there any reason in the world that anyone would care?
  13. it will cost you a little, but I had an agent do everything for me.. they mailed off my passport and had it mailed back to them, they then went to Imm. and had all the stamps placed properly in my new passport.. All of that would have felt like a hassle for me and so just dropping the passport off and picking it up at a later date was well worth the nominal fees charged by my agent... of course, you can do it all yourself..
  14. Thank you - this is so typical of any query I make - I want to know what is available and what people are pleased with ordering and from where... I did get a couple of suggestions which I do appreciate... But this has turned into a battle about Wagyu Beef - which I am not the least bit interested in... So it goes.
  15. I am looking for really good quality and delicious foods to have shipped to my home... be it pre-prepared meals or tender meats that need to be prepared... What is your experience - anything to recommend?
  16. I used to go and volunteer there as well... I am thinking of going back for a breakfast buffet just for the food, if I make a friend or bump into an old friend, that will be a bonus...
  17. oh, if I were you I would charge for it - a rare opportunity to have some pleasant alone time. I am sure you are worth it. Don't sell yourself short.
  18. I didn't know they give certificates for it?
  19. THe mask keeps the dust out of their mouth and nose- - as a viser would do on a helmet but if you have no helmet you need a mask...
  20. I sold my bitcoin and bought up all the pet rocks... [at least I can build a wall]
