  1. less fortunate than you - was the obvious implication... if you are indeed a good tipper, that is very kind of you and you should take satisfaction in that.
  2. I thought it was rather obvious that this topic was discussing people working in positions where tipping is a usual practice....
  3. Sometimes it is a way to blunt the liars, braggarts and mean people on the forum...
  4. That is assumed - - rewarding = appreciating - - no? or do you just like to be disagreeable... I enjoy being a good tipper = I am going to assume you don't
  5. Tipping is not a matter of responsibility for customers - it is about showing appreciation and consideration for people most of the time less fortunate.
  6. Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens Brown paper packages tied up with strings These are a few of my favorite things
  7. what were you locked up for?
  8. Not everybody has the same experience - but yes, I believe that is your experience...
  9. Where I come from time = money... do you count that? Building can be aggravating - does that have a cost? Then again, if you build you get to choose exactly what you want - 1 bedroom, 4 baths, up to you... but yes, things do deteriorate here... there is no simply $ and cents - there is convenience and choice involved... and depreciation... things depreciate here, though land usually appreciates.
  10. How about the firm - "Dewey, Cheatham, and Howe" ?? Sometimes it is best to just open your own account and buy a few different Index Funds...
  11. hill tribe people - - I had an Otavalan Indian friend from Ecuador visit me here - everyone thought he was Thai and he noted some similarities in the languages
  12. I have often wondered about that - - who worries more about money, rich people or poor people... With the rich, it is as if they have just whet their appetite and the thirst for the bigger boat or more expensive house has just begun. Their does seem to be an increasing interest in 'tiny houses' in USA - that would be my style...
  13. Actually, they call the foreigners fruit pickers and field workers and people who do jobs that nobody else would do... I can't imagine what the USA would be without them - hungry maybe?
  14. just human nature, isn't it? My wife has plenty and yet she still looks at things and thinks about the profits to have been made... it doesn't mean she is not happy w/her choices... I guess it is human nature to want more. And I think it goes on everywhere...
  15. Thankfully that doesn't happen in the USA... what % of new home builds are McMansions w/a side of fries on the side...
  16. A kiss is just a kiss, a sigh is just a sigh... as time goes by...
  17. Well, you missed out on that objective... how about husband and family man? but I assume you don't want to hear of positive things - right?
  18. Wow! You are an artist at name calling - - - what a thrill... here's one for you - only unimaginative people call people [that they know nothing about] - snowflakes...
  19. good grief indeed... I make a light hearted joking comment - - I have friends who are Toms - I know what they are interested in - - though I never did hear the very derogatory term generic girl - how cold you are...
  20. you make one stupid assumption after the next - - Why would a tomboy be attracted to me? I amm a guy.. GG? What is that? Good girl?
  21. Too many mosquitos, and no antibiotics... what a pain it would be to reinvent the wheel and cooking with fire.... no books, movies or TV - and what about baseball?
  22. Yes, I have seen the photos and have been told the backstory - the young lady is definitely exceptional beyond looks - she has an aura about her that is very alluring, We all have our own ideas of beauty and attractiveness and this young lady goes beyond. As to paying for it, or paying our wives... I would call it sharing. It is doing something nice for someone - be it paying the bills, dinner, the mortgage or my favorite, 'taxi fare home' - There are many ladies that I know for many years and I enjoy their company, but often times, an hour or two at a time is enough. As to my wife - as they say, happy wife, happy life. It is easy enough to find hourly companionship but it is nice to have a relationship that transcends as well. We probably don't fit many 'definitions' that you may have or preconceived notions... in the course of 25 years, things change. And somebody once told me, 'you can't take it with you' - - of course, I don't believe that... but if money makes others more secure, or even happy, then I am glad to help out.
