you get pectin from eating apples.
I have not eaten applesauce in over 20 years... didn't even know I missed it - been making my own the last 3 weeks... very easy to make - this week I mixed in a handful of strawberries and pineapple.. a dash of cinnamon. Great stuff and healthy too...

If it was me wanting to pay for a service and the cashier is not available, after about 5 mins I would give them a warning, after 10 mins and still no one to take my payment, I would write my phone no down, hand it to them, then walk out.
I don't remember having to wait anywhere for a cashier... but it sounds like you have a plan

That was very nice of the cashier...
laughter is a cultural thing... thai often laugh in times of stress... if I hit my head in a car door, my wife in the USA would have been wild with laughter... so, it's a male/female thing too.

I doubt the hunter gatherers had wheelchairs either...

Did you ever have a real problem? A papercut maybe?
You are doing great - not long ao people had to be hunter gatherers and didn't have people to tock the trees.

Is the roadwork related to the new airport in Sankamphaeng?
Any idea how long it will be going on and when the airport might be scheduled to open?

There was one day I tried to buy the BP and the shop owner wouldn't let me buy it as he hadn't sold out of yesterdays yet. Just one of those TIT moments, as Trink would say.
was the BP out of gas?

Never understood the Trink worship. His column was an abomination, just cut and pasted rubbish from emails, lame jokes, and silly cliches. Even his book reviews were poor. He was a talentless man who somehow made a living from it (kudos to him for that), and I never understood why the Bangkok Post kept him for so long.
But no, never met him.It was because his early work was excellent - but he coasted into retirement for far far too long.

my wife has a problem in that she plucks white hairs from her head just about every night leaving bald patches and has taken to doing comb/brush overs to hide it, apart from that she has fairly thick hair but says she can "feel" the white hair, dont know if this is a thai thing but she has been doing it for many years, she is in her 50's.
my wife claims they are itchy and is also always working at plucking.... and her dad who is all grey confirms it is itchy...
