  1. The OP could just pay and agent to go through the hassle at CW for him. I did that before I left CM as I simply got tired of hassling with the lines and delays at Immigration. That was before they even started building the new place. Just get an agent to go through the hassle - if the OP considers it to be a hassle.
  2. Lymphocyte T-Cell Immunomodulator (LTCI) is a drug that has been approved in the US (2011) for cats with Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). It goes by the brand name of IMULAN. I have a 1 year old cat with Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV)/Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). If I can find this available in Thailand I'd like to give it to my cat. If anyone knows of a distributor or where I can purchase it I would appreciate it.
  3. Unfortunately it needs to be done at CW. Regarding online. Yeah, it can be flaky. But you have 1 full week after your 90 day expiration to get it done. Submit it online and then wait. If the approved form doesn't show up by the last day of the "grace period" you'll need to go to CW on that day. But I'd try online first. I've only had to physically go to Immigration once to process the 90 day due to not getting the approval back in time. Other than that it seems to work quite well.
  4. Use this: Click on "apply" on the bottom left. Use this link to login. I'd suggest using Brave browser of Chromium (Chrome) with this online application. https://tm47.immigration.go.th/tm47/#/login
  5. In Thai they are called mia chow, rental wives. Trust me, Thai men engage in this way more than farangs. Hence the Karaoke bars and shower massages, as well as private clubs. Personally I've never 'groped' a woman before. It's not my style. However, I have 'rented a wife' in the past. And "old men?" The first time I hooked up with a bar girl I was 35. This scene isn't just for 'old men.' These places cater to Thai guys from 20 to elderly in most case. The farang bar scene is an after-though. Japan sounds like a good place for you, however, the bar scene there can be pretty exotic if you get invited in. None of these places are for alter boys.
  6. That works. That really all I want to do - use it for future purchase. I guess I'll open one and send the item back.
  7. That's the only reason. I was going to return an item and it requires a Lazada Wallet for the refund.
  8. Me too. In fact, I simply detest everything Android and 'smartphones' in general.
  9. If the morality bothers you Nick, you've come to the wrong country. Try Japan or Korea. They are probably a better fit.
  10. Honestly. at the bars I'd go to, I'd buy occasional drinks for the staff but at the same prices as customers pay. I never have gotten turned down. It may not be 'extra money' but it is a free drink.
  11. Nope. All the men I bought drinks for in the past were....ah-hum... 'ladies.'
  12. Lazada Wallet - reality check. Can foreigners use it? I thought I read somewhere that Lazada Wallet didn't work for foreigners who applied.
  13. Given that a significant portion of Thailand is under drought conditions, and at least here in Northeastern Lamphun I venture that less than 60% of the fields are producing rice this year while the rest lay fallow. We ain't go no extra water. So what this may mean is that rice commodities middle men are getting filthy rich as Thailand back-fills rice export due to India's rice export ban - but - Thailand does so by screwing over their domestic supply and duly rogering the Thai public next year, as I fully expect domestic rice price to "surge" next year and by multiples of 12%.
  14. Try the Chromium browser. I've found that Lazada product pages aren't loading in Firefox (which I've found to be an all too common problem with FF over the last couple of years). Anyway, Chromium is open source (not Google) and works very well. In fact, Chrome is open-source Chromium that Google has d**ked with. I'd rather have less 'features" and a more stable platform. I'm starting to use Chromium as my "go to" browser now as FF pukes on more and more sites that I often use. And I have had no problems with Lazada logons using Chromium. Info here: https://www.chromium.org
  15. Justice whispers: Thaksin’s sentence may shrink yet. Every Thai and Expat in Thailand knows exactly what is about to transpire for Thaksin.
  16. Are people better now or back in the 1980s? 1980s
  17. Is TM30 Required if you have a Yellow House Book? Yes
  18. Why not just come out and say, "Your taxi driver may rape you if you let your guard down?" Welcome to the Land of Smiles.
  19. The Weather Underground is usually pretty accurate, except this year when the forcast 75% chance of rain, we end up with fluffy clouds and sun. Ditto about the Nun's nasty.
  20. Not so much here in Northeastern Lamphun province. The catch basins for farming are still about 50% below normal and a whole lot of rice field are laying fallow this year. The local river is but a trickle. It's gonna have to do some serious raining in the next two months to catch up to normal, then expect higher rice prices next year as there will be shortages unless the Thai government limits exports. It bodes not well.
  21. Rimping in CM for Sweet Mango Chutney. I've got some in the frig.
  22. Pass legislation to allow same-sex couple to marry. That will bring them. The daughter of good friends of mine has been living with her girl-friend for over a decade. I'm sure they would come here if they could get a legal marriage.
  23. I buckle my seatbelt as soon as I sit in the car - Automatic. I put a helmet on before getting on my motorcycle just to drive to the local mom and pops. Automatic. Is that silly? In the time I've lived in the village, at least three people I know got killed on motorcycles. All of them from skull fractures among other injuries. Do I think it should be The Law that everyone wear seatbelts and helmets? Nope. But I also think that a Darwin Award awaits many of them who may have lived out normal lifespans had they done so.
