  1. There is a bbq store on suk soi 39, that's all they do.

    BBQ Thai website.

They also have a shop at Pattaya, was in there today and purchased their 4 Burner Downunder BBQ.

Their range of BBQ's are from Barbecues Galore in Australia, they also sell Bundy Rum !!!!!

Not cheap though, the one i bought was 22,900b, on the Barbecues Galore website its only $299.00 (8970b) :)

  2. Stingray, The Commodore based Lumina was not sold into the USA.

    1998–2007

Since 1998, the Holden Commodore has been sold as the Chevrolet Lumina in the Middle East and South Africa, and previously in Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. A coupe version based on the Holden Monaro was also sold in the Middle East as the Chevrolet Lumina Coupe.

    2007-Present

Holden released the all new VE Holden Commodore in Australia in 2006. In 2007 it was rebadged and exported from Australia as the newest generation of the Chevrolet Lumina. It is currently being sold in the Middle East and South Africa. The Holden Ute is in South Africa available as the Lumina Ute

It was the Monaro (two door commodore) that was sold into the USA, as a GTO i believe.

  3. Both Accord 3,5 and Camry 3,5 is like 2,7 mill baht, so if cc is your desire no one beats Chevy in LOS :)

Yeah but $62,678.65 AUD is a lot of coin for a commodore !!!!

Maybe Chev would sell more of them if they marketed them better, barely a mention of them on the their website.

  4. On the roads of Thailand now as we speak so over to you for a bold statement that they are not, obviously not a Vios so you have to know what it is when you do see one and i said nothing about "one off" requests.

Kartman, i do apologise, guess i need to get out to the chevvy dealers more often !!

They have been selling the 3500cc Aussie Lamuna since 2003 at 1,99 mill baht. Made in Aussie, more than 3000cc, taxed as a thai 3000cc. Odd tax rules :)

Good to hear, pretty exxy price though.

  5. R.I.P Fellow Aussie dude.

What are you classing as old?. This a 90 - 110 Series Landrover pictured above and they do have hand brakes and also because Land Rover didn't go the route of mainstream, doesn't mean its wrong :)

Are you sure its a 90/110 Landy, from the front for sure but the doors (handles) appear to be from an earlier model.

  6. Cant really recommend one for True but i can tell you one to Avoid, its a TP-Link TD-W8901G wifi router/modem.

It will not connect to my true service, I gave up, been bouncing emails back and forth with true trying to get it working seems imposible, even had a True technician come out, he had no luck either.

  7. FYI there is no such thing as addiction. It is total is BS. It is called poor decision making. This what people are paying 50k usd a month to learn at hi-so rehabs.

You my friend have an addiction, its an addiction of talking complete crap, wonder if the betty ford clinic is able to help you ?

  8. 16:9 is fine for watching movies on a larger TV but when you are closer the extra width feels more comfortable for using a PC.

    This, i dont understand.

    My 23' acer is @ 1900 x 1080....it is full screen, what 'extra width' would i gain @ 1900 x 1200 ??

  9. A diesel engine running lean does no harm whatsoever. Unlike with a petrol engine where running lean over time will likely burn a hole in your piston :)

Remember, basic diesel engines work perfectly un-throttled. Power output is controlled by the amount of diesel injected, the airflow is not controlled, i.e. no butterfly valve at all. So most of the times (when not accelerating) diesel engines are running lean of stoichmetric. It does increase temperatures, but the engine is designed for this.

    Excellent explanation, Thanks.

I must look more into these oil burners one day :D:D

  10. Yes, but i guess without correct Rental Car insurance. For 16 Grand a Colorado? Usually a Rental car insurance cost nearly 30 grand a year for a truck like this. I guess if you have a accident you are on your own.

Another thing: I wouldn't rent a newer or new car or Truck for that price, because, even the insurance pay in case of a accident, who gonna pay for the time, when a truck stay 2 months in a workshop for fixing. Or who pays the different between insurance value or marked value of a car, when the vehicle get stolen. Insurance pays only about 70% of the value of a car. For example a new Vios cost about 550 to 580'k plus about 25'k for insurance is almost or 600'k, but in case of theft the insurance pays only about max 450'k in the first year. So peaple who rent teir cars for 16 grand actualy can't do any business calculations, There are, anything else to spend on a car exept insurance, like maintenance, oil, repairs, parts, yearly one set of new tires, and what most of peaple forget is the Price devaluation, becsause in the end of each year, the car loses on value and this al for 16 grand rental???

How am I on my own in regards to the insurance, my 'mate' has class 1 insurance on 'his' vehicle that I 'borrowed'.

As for the rest of your rental lecture, not really my problem is it, guess i could lose my deposit but meh, no biggie, work paid it.
