Now it IS true that plenty of condos are always for sale, but not so much the really choice ones. What's amusing is how the ANF Real Estate Information Center can spin 10,703 units for 52.3 billion baht, 38% more than last year, into the usual satisfying sneer. Our Real Estate Experts, all renters, have predicted the great CONDO CRASH for decades, waiting, waiting, waiting. The 90s baht crash didn't hurt the condo market as foreign investors with stronger currencies quickly stepped in. Now we were assured that countless bargains would be had during COVID, which meant the end of tourism. WOT? Meanwhile, one of our most cherished beliefs is that all foreign condo owners are perpetually desperate to sell and heading for the exits. LOL. Condo sales threads always bring our GLUTTERS, CONDO CRASH IMMINENT, and FOOLS BUY REAL ESTATE doomsters out of their rented rooms.

10,703 units for 52.3 billion baht does indeed mean something. Nor were more sales guaranteed this year as opposed to last. So part of what it means, besides some good money for Thailand, is that your post doesn't really mean anything.

In fairness, facebook has about 3 billion active users monthly. facebook provides a service those users very much appreciate. I don't use it, but I know people who do, and religiously. He earned his wealth. I don't like, dislike, or demonize him for self-promotion. I don't think about him at all. And for those suggesting a silo as a better option, or Norway, or NZ, Zuck's house isn't ONLY a bunker. It's mostly a huge above-ground mansion to be enjoyed most of the time by his family and guests--in the paradise of Kauai. He can afford to have a bunker underneath, so why not? Oh, he's thought about all your questions about sustainability. He surely enjoyed the planning. Typical misconception recurring in various forms, cf. above: Skills can be acquired with practice if one cares to practice them. Me, I regard exercise as a matter of necessity. Otherwise, I wouldn't do it, either. :) I enjoy forms of recreation that require a little more brainpower. Hitting a little ball in a hole is just of no interest, you see. Walking, or driving, on a golf course is of no interest. It's that simple.

But you knew how very beneficial it was for your cardiovascular system as exercise. To make it more entertaining, while you ran, you'd have needed to listen to music on a portable MP3 player. The running then becomes a kind of dance. Note all gyms play music--sometimes annoying music but not always. Basically the same idea for making a task less stressful. Some members of my gym wear, not earbuds, but earphones to entertain themselves with their preferred tunes. I suppose I could try the same technique to alleviate the boredom of golf, but then I might not want to stop listening to concentrate on a shot. :) Overall, I think you just have to find golf entertaining as golf. I happen not to; moreover, I don't see how it would do anything for my physical and mental fitness that other activities don't do a lot better. But again, this doesn't mean I hate golf. I suspect that people who don't care for it also don't care enough to hate it. Golfers are welcome to enjoy it as much as they wish. It generates some good revenue in the economy. Similarly, I don't hate *som tum. Thais are welcome to it.

The unfortunate implication here is that you aren't bored once every 10 years. Now during the years I practiced my own far more humble sport, running, not only was I never bored (once I got out on the road) but enjoyed a runner's high about four times a week. I'd call it in the zone. Short races, though fun, were too intense for any zoning out. Marathons, on the other hand, running a long course with other competitors, pacing myself to have enough left to sprint through "the wall" at the finish, left plenty of time. I enjoyed some great scenery running in various locations, as golfers enjoy their courses I suppose. Needless to say, I was very fit, as I am now with my lifting a couple of times a week + intervals. So I count that as a big advantage. Most amateur golfers I've known, and notably those I merely see around Pattaya, look as if they might fall over any day on the links. The one golfer I slightly know now is on the usual meds for metabolic syndrome. However, the pros on TV always look in good shape. :) And you're in good shape. True. She's an extremely fit, strong, beautiful, graceful, highly skilled dancer practicing her art. For a sportswoman, a gymnast, cf. Simone Biles. Now we're talking superhuman.

Yes. I've never heard of anyone who HATES golf as a sport. They simply don't care for it themselves. Now people may resent the interruptions of regular TV programming for a golf tournament. Wives may not like their husbands disappearing for golf games and blowing money on the sport. Etc. So I don't care for it, tried it and found it boring and too time-consuming for what it is. Not worth getting good at it for me. Best wishes to anyone who's into it, knock yerselves out. That said, I enjoy game highlights sometimes broadcast of spectacular plays, as with football and baseball. Some god-like athletes out there to admire. I guess my fave spectator sport would have to be women's gymnastics. :)
