  1. Can't believe the absurdity, man. If handwrote my application, they couldn't read it. Not sure why they'd want to try to read yours. I guess out of sheer stubbornness I'd scan a form I'd handwritten then take it by a print shop to print out a few copies in color and then write in the new date in one of them. Hand that in and see what they say.
  2. And so the IO can do it. Just hand him your form, neatly typed and signed in blue ink. IO stamps it. Done.
  3. So then their form is the same as the download. Now I'm not clear why you can't use the TM.7 download yourself (as described above) and the IO can add the stamps to that.
  4. Don't forget that collared, checked shirt from the East End Thrift Shop. Maybe just swaggering around with Chang, too skint to afford a prostitute.
  5. But your 2 mates would deny they're wasting money. Surely you've heard the saying, I spent most of my money on beer & women. The rest I just wasted. So, do it yourself, spend the B1,900 on the extension and the leftover 6,000 on hookers and blow and call it day.
  6. Brit yobs handled differently: Fortunately, we don't see many of those around Pattaya nowadays. Evidently they're skint, ghey, or just w@nking to porn in their council estates. The fat old drunks have seemingly replaced them.
  7. I dunno what stamps you're talking about. The TM.7 you download here has no stamps. https://www.immigration.go.th/en/?page_id=3202 And you can fill it out using an online .pdf editor. I have an older docx format, still good. Nor do the IOs stamp my documents. They use a yellow highlighter to indicate they've checked critical dates. If your office uses its own pre-stamped forms, I'd get a blank copy, scan it to .pdf, fill it out (yearly) w/ .pdf editor, and drop by a print shop to print it in color. I'll do most anything (except pay an agent, ha ha) to avoid filling out a form and especially filling out one by hand.
  8. New York Pizza too salty. Won't go back. Pizza Company, those days are behind me. I could see a Bronx pizza or a Hops. I rarely eat pizza, so I don't really know others. We have a thread going with good other suggestions.
  9. Yes, I am for my yearly retirement extension. 1. The forms I use are the computer forms downloaded from Immigration. They have drop down menus and blanks to fill in. All black-and-white. 2. No handwriting required except the sig. I use blue ink. 3. No house location map required.
  10. Suck it up like man. You haven't quite got the Asian way yet. Yeah, takes discipline for a stupid farang. The appearance is more important than the reality. So you act respectful even though you actually feel respectful. Sorted! :)
  11. Typical response here, nothing new. Nor does anyone care what you think. 'Course, now, you decided to come to Thailand, so they shouldn't have any sympathy for you, either, or make anything easier for you. Make an idiot mistake, too bad for you. But the idiots and the abuse they have to put up with really shouldn't be part of the job. Some of the idiots I've seen should have been escorted right out of the office, and if they resisted, then detained and deported. We farang should just obey the rules and treat the IOs respectfully as well. Things would go a lot smoother, I think.
  12. They speak English and are maybe a little gratified when they do so successfully. I doubt it makes any difference, but your Thai should be quite polite and up to the task. Really, the papers are the issue. I give a quick, polite Sawadee Krub, smile, and a respectful little wai. I figure, can't hurt and may be a start on the right foot anyway. Personally, I sympathize with what they must put up with daily. I can say that with me, at least, the IOs are always polite and professional. My papers are always in perfect order, however, neatly typed. I'm normally a messy person but not in this case.
  13. Right, circumventing the rules for no other reason than convenience.
  14. That he'd have to read a lot of irrelevant replies? Agreed. Par for the course.
  15. The OP is asking merely for a glaucoma test. Nothing said about any problems that warrant specialized test & treatments. If a routine exam reveals the need for such, he can inquire.
  16. Routine ophthalmology uses the same standard equipment. All depts have it.
  17. Trivial to do. Forms are all neatly completed, typewritten, on my computer. All I do is change the dates and run off a set. Affix photo, signing takes a few minutes. Stop by the bank, head to Immigration at a likely less busy time, and I'm in and out pretty quickly. Never any problems. Cold one at one of my fave bars tastes great on the way home.
  18. +1 for Bronx. Hops Brewhouse pizza has always been good.
  19. Right. Do the whole bit with an ophthalmologist. All hospitals have them. Pattaya Memorial may be the cheapest private hsp in town. Good doc there who also works at Sirikit. Phyathai Sriricha is probably cheaper than the pvt hsps in Pattaya. Now you could also go to a public hsp, but there's a lot of waiting and you may well need a Thai speaker with you if you speak no Thai. I haven't checked w/ local public hsps, but I get my annual check at Sirikit. I'm sure Somdej in Sriricha can fix you up.
  20. Sour grapes. And poor lady, having to prostitute herself to you. I find my gf quite attractive, BTW. I know how much you want the topic to be about me, but it's really about the OP. The idea of a real relationship does of course create chagrin after the vast sums you've expended on a rented wife, her daughter, and her house in the sticks she can kick you out of any time. Now I've recommended that if the OP wishes to follow your model, the Standard Model for the forum (lot of highly educated hod carriers here), he may PM you. What further compliment do you need? You got it down, man. :) I merely offer an alternative but unpalatable vision here of looking around for a middle class educated lady with a decent job he needn't pay and enjoy a traditional relationship based on love & friendship. We do have guys here who've done that and are happy. I know of a number of them myself. So, your problem with that idea is merely your problem. Why not just accept what you have bought for yourself, be happy, and not worry so much about what other people have and the way they choose to live their lives?
  21. Yawn. I've given her age previously, no big secret here, and also none of your business. I've also noted the irrelevance of your precious age gaps. More and more I think your diet is contributing to a growing dementia. We've been together so long merely out of love & friendship. We have a lot in common, notably an interest in health and fitness. WOT??? No "game" is being played; I have no assets she needs. Laughable assumption on your part that simply reflects your own ignorant, stereotypical, obsession.
