  1. I have been reading an article about Cryptocurrency and this new Bitcoin thing. They mention people like Richard Branson and Bill Gates as to make it so official, but it sounds so good its almost irresistable Anybody here had any experience ?? I just feel that they would not be able to implicate rich and famous people especially muli millionaires (billionaires!!!!!) if it was a hoax Am I being a bit naive here or am I the typical sort of person who desperately need a bit more money to get a better life??

  2. I am a Falang who has been living in thailand for just approximately 13 years. At that time I got married to a Thai lady and the house became hers with me being a resident with a 30 yr lease and I was told at that time that whatever happened to our relationship neither she or anyone else could put me out of the house. Now my relationship is fading and maybe going to the stage where we get a divorce. My first concern is can I still remain in the house for the next 17 yrs. I would be interested to hear from anyone who either legally knows my position or hjas had the same experience. Thanks in advance Dougal

  3. well Rooster mate---- I have been reading your weekly column for a number of years now and never got round to answering anything you have written.I suppose there ate a lot like me.I have loved your witticism, your anger, your cryptic quotes and your general remarks with a hint of mirth in them.Who knows I may even write again one day but at 84 this year I may have left it a bit late, but anyway all I really wanted to convey was my appreciation for hours and hours of good quality fun I have had from you and the wish that it continues for a long time yet.Good luck to you Rooster----Dougal

  4. Yes it was the No1 man in Udon Thani office, and he was actually laughing at me for worrying about this and told me and my Wife as I said"no TM30 no worries." Like it has been said though----- he has been there for a while now but what happens to me if I go back for my 90 day and he's not there.Suppose I might get it sorted if I go a couple of days early, then I've got time to do it.

  5. I have been hearing all sorts of problems about people having trouble because they have not got a TM30. OK so I go to my local Imm Office.(Udon Thani) My 90 day is not for another 6 weeks but I wanted to be prepared one way or another, and was told by the Boss there that I do not require a TM 30 not now or when my 90 day is due. I have a retirement extension, married to a Thai for 11 yrs, bought house  and still in it for about 10yrs so no TM30------ does this sound right to you?

  6. Some of you people make me sick. You are in a foreign country. These are foreign country creatures. If they are just messing the roof of your car surely its a 1 min job to throw a bit of plastic sheet over your precious car—— keep the 12 bore for something more reasonable !!!!!!!!!??? OH YEA I never thought of that

Ha ha ha Dutchbike, what a coincidence, check the TShirt design my aunts business has just made, as of today. (With permission of course).

They just showed up and bought this to me. Very cool. Very surprised, she can read minds! It's the exact same bike. post-195861-1408965958556_thumb.jpg

Obviously going too fast---- never mind it looks like the only damage is a buckled front wheel !!!!!!!!!!!!!

SAME FOR UK LOTTERY when it first came out in 1995 it was stated that the chance of winning was 14 million to one......even so there is JUST that chance one could win big money so worth buying a ticket in my opinion

When I first emigrated to New Zealand there were only 3.500.000 people.I never won anything except the smallest prizes which covered my ticket costs. !!!!! Some are lucky some are not,but I got to say I am very happy here after 10 yrs

  9. When I first came here I had sold up all my interests in the Kiwifruit packing business and just went back a couple of times.Friends of my now wife wanted to go and work over there but were all turned down with not enough money even with the definate chance of a job over there.I also have a mate who after having been here many yrs from NZ is now stuck in NZ having had surgery on eyes and now wants his Thai g/f to fly over and come straight back with him to help him travel.Complete refusal !!!!! There must be a hell of a lot of new hoops to go through. I'm almost frightened to go back myself now, just in case !!!!

  10. Hey lee4life----- I too have been in Thailand 10yrs and have just bought my second  one having sold the first one to buy a car.I have had no problems whatsoever in Udon Thani. My reason for a TukTuk initially was that I build and fly model aircraft and have had trouble carrying them around in a car.So I have got my second one now and am into the big ones again.I think over the yrs the police have seen me and know what it is all about but I must admit I know nothing about a special licence. I love motorbikes and have 3 at my disposal but old Tukky has a special place in my life.

Never heard of anything like that before.

Perhaps it would pay to call the tourist police to inquire about it if it happens again.

Or perhaps better BEFORE it happens again. You will not be so confused and ask all for their ID next time. I tend to feel if we show fear of surprise of any sort,it will boost their confidence and may start even to get more menacing. If you have all your paperwork in order you have nothing to fear so for heavens sake stand up for what little rights we have got.

  12. I can see the reasoning behind any ban on wearing this sort of thing---------so decided tomorrow I buy some clothes dye and make them black jackets to be on the safe side------ after all they are only for wearing for gardening or helping on farm, anyway thanks for replies guys---------Have a good one:smile:

There's guys in our village who l know selling stuff from there stalls wearing camouflage army type jackets.

I wear camouflage army type trouser shorts most of the time.

OP have you not been around for the last few months????

There was a coup, now the army is in control.

I think that should answer your question.

Yes I have been around for many yrs now thank you-------------- I was just verifying that it was in fact true.I have been here also long enough to disregard some peoples comments about this sort of thing as they tend to make things up because they have not got the expression "I don't know" in their vocabulary. Thanks for reply but "yes you're Wife is right" would have been adequate :violin:
