You should just consider yourself lucky to find a buyer for a ‘home made chopper 750 with whatever number.
I had a (registered)750 with HaHaHa (555) but in the end I was lucky to find a buyer in this market now-a-days.

Yes DILLIGAD  Sadly your correct , myself and other people I know have been trying to sell other bikes , houses , you name it , even at a good price nothing seems to sell anymore ?

  3. I hope somebody can help me with a question of how much ? As we all know the simple answer to my question of how much a motor cycle number is worth ? is it is worth nothing , or its worth what you can get .

But in reality it does make a difference to the price of a bike if it has an interesting number ,  I will soon be trying to sell a bike with the registration number 333 , I would like to load the price of the bike to include the interesting number but load it by how much ? The bike is a home made chopper fitted with Virago XV 750 engine . Thanks in advance for any help on price .

  4. Thanks for the comments everyone , I do not think its a Jarakay ( Chakhe ) as I already have one of those , this instrument measures 20" x 8"

The strange thing about it is that the strings are always hard against the fret , there is only one fret and to change note pressure is applied to the string that is already on that fret , similar to a guitar player bending the strings , yes it may well be a one off home made job but its certainly been made by a craftsman using very hard and heavy wood

    I have telephoned the following.
    - 29370180
    1. Mr Tim Zimmerman - President of Southeast Asia Operations
    2. Mr. Marcos A. Purty Managing Director Of Chevrolet Sales
    3. Mr. Antonio P. A. Zara Vice President of Sales

  6. I bought a new Chevrolet Trailblazer 5 months ago and at the time they were offering 10,000 baht free diesel, the diesel would be obtained with fuel vouchers that would be given to you at the time of purchase, Having made my purchase I was then told that the fuel vouchers would be sent to my house address from Chevrolet Bangkok, needless to say the vouchers have never arrived, phone calls to the dealer are only met with there's so many people waiting it takes time !

Has anybody actually ever received any fuel vouchers ? Thank you in advance for any feed back.

  7. Ive noticed these street kids singing for money most mornings bali high side of walking street , in sight of police it makes me wonder how they get away with it ?

  8. Sorry guys for the late reply, yes I have been reading what people are saying and the very informative post from jitar, it does seem there is a strong case for the prosecution, I cant say I'm happy at the conclusion that the diesel engine appears to be the winner on two grounds really, 1. the engine is noisy compared to its counterpart, and 2. with diesel you do not have the choice at some later stage should diesel prices go up for whatever reason to convert to an alternative fuel such as LPG.

Never mind, life goes on, I will now continue my search looking at diesels from the view point of this forum thumbsup.gif

  9. I think I should make it clear I am not against having a diesel engine, although I do like a nice quiet engine this post is not meant to be about slagging off diesel or slagging off petrol as there is for and against both engines, what I'm trying to find out is why are there no petrol options on pickup trucks in Thailand now when in the past there was ? knowing the Thai people like cheap fuel like LPG it seems strange that the only pickup you can buy now is a diesel.

  10. Thank you for your comments, thing is there does not seem to be any solid factual evidence around on mpg diesel verses petrol ? nowadays with the price of diesel very nearly the same as petrol I cant see the point of having a noisy clattering engine anymore ?

Think you should do a lot more reading. Go for a ride in a modern diesel truck (Toyota). Diesel is around 25% lower in price than gas and the diesel ride will do more MPG and have more power..............coffee1.gif

Yes there's plenty comments around but their personal comments not solid factual evidence, I agree a diesel may have more bottom end grunt under certain circumstances but talking purely financial about fuel cost I am yet to be convinced that running a diesel nowadays is cheaper than petrol.

  11. A friend of mine has a petrol (benzine) Toyota Vigo 4x4 2.7 automatic. I think this vehicle would suit my needs fine so I decided to go into Toyota and order a new one, I was told by the staff that a petrol Vigo is no longer available unless you go for a bottom of the range manual gearbox model, it seems that the petrol option Vigo was taken off the list the same time the petrol Fortuner.

Does anybody know of ANY ( new ) petrol engine pickups for sale in Thailand now ?

  12. I am looking for a direct flight from Bangkok to the UK. Everything I see seems to stop off somewhere, looking over the forum the information I have seen is now mostly out of date. does anyone know of a direct flight to the UK as of May 2013 ? Thanks for any information you can provide.

  13. Thank you everyone for your help, first off today I am going to buy the
4500 litres per hour pump and will run it through a filter, I will
change the water in the pond first therefore starting with clean water, I
will post here again in a few days as to what condition the water is in, in the mean time I will look into UV light options. smile.png
