I have a fish pond 190cm x 130cm x 70cm. it is shaded from direct
sunlight by an asbestos roof. There are about 7 goldfish and a catfish
in the pond, I have no pump of filtration so the water starts to go green in about 4 or 5 days then after about 14 days you can no longer see the fish. Can anybody give me an idea of what size pump I would need to push enough
water into a filter to keep the water clean ? I do not want to go too
big on the pump but I think if the pump is too small it will not move
enough water ?Thank you in advance for any information you can provide regarding a pond of this size.

That made me laugh, the machine is copied so cannot save games. That would be the best anti-piracy method ever.
Simply sounds like you got a cheap memory card that is not supported. Try going to another game store and purchasing an official memory card (yellow packaging) as the PS2 is notoriously picky for not accepting any other memory cards than official Sony ones.
Hope this helps, Burnout is great fun!

OK. Here's the story. I have just bought a Sony PlayStation 2 from Tukcom Siracha for my son to play games on, his favourite game is Burnout 3. The playStation came with a choice of 10 games of which Burnout was one of them, I have tried to save the game on 2 separate memory cards that were purchased in two separate shops, although the PlayStation recognises the memory card when started with no disc in the machine when I try to save the game I have a message ... No memory card in card slot, insert memory card and try again.
I have since taken the PlayStation back to the shop where I purchased it but was told the machine is a copy and also the games are all copy and you can not save a game.
The price I paid for my machine was 4,200 B the price in the Sony shop is around 6,000 B
I have a friend who has what he thinks is a genuine Sony PlayStation 2 but he tells me that his PlayStation can not play copy games ? I have not yet asked him if he can store a game on his or not
The thing that puzzles me is this, Most of the kids in this country will be using the copy machine along with the copy games, I can not believe all these kids are playing games without being able to save what they have played ?

negative perceptions of kia among Thais.
Yes and I wonder if this comes from the lack of spare parts available ? The thing that concerns me is if you buy a second hand one, a Kia Sportage for example and you have access to all spares even if you have to get them from Bangkok you can do something but if spares are not available you may well be off the road for months just because of a simple part.

46 views and 0 reply's ? either the Kia drivers are so busy driving around trouble free in their cars they have no time to spend sitting at a computer or Farang Kia drivers are few on the ground

I'm interested if anybody here on the forum owns a Kia car, Suv, or Minibus ? Compared to most cars here you seem to get a lot of car for your money with Kia. also the build quality seems to be good.
This brings me to the opinion there must be a catch ? a Thai friend of mine who runs a Kia Carnival tells me there's no problem with spare parts that Bangkok has everything !
Can anyone shine some light on this ?
Thank you in advance for any reply's.

Yes, it's <deleted>, explains everything quite correctly. so does Slums of the near future.
If you still want to go ahead you won't have a problem finding a good condo at a give away price.
In for a penny in for a pound and onward to Glory but don't forget to make a book mark of this page so you can come back to it in a year or so and kick yourself for not seeing the wood for the trees.

After emailing D-tac about the problem I received this email followed by a text message saying the problem had now been corrected. Nothing has changed there is still no signal on anybody's phone around here. To me the message below looks like the standard message they send to all customers concerning any question ? It looks now my only option is to change provider like the Thais round here are now doing.
...........
Dear Customer,
We are apologize for the inconvenience about the signal. Please be informed that we already take this matter as prior.
Our technician and concern party are now on the process of checking for the cause of it. We are trying our very best
to fix the problem in order to enable and improve the network signal. Please be assured that your request has never
been neglect; it is our great concern. Unfortunately this might takes time to improve.
We are looking forward to your continued patronage with us as well as the opportunity to serve you again. Thank you
very much for your patience and understanding in this matter. Thank you for choosing DTAC.

No problems with dtac signal strength per se, but for some odd reason my phone indicates limited service at times, needing a reboot to get back to normal.
Never did that before...
Sent from my GT-S5660 using Thaivisa Connect App
Yes that's another thing I also need to reboot and never did before ?

I have been with D-tac now for many years and although the system is not faultless it has provided me with a reasonable service for my needs, My problems started about a month ago, I live in Banglamung the highway 36 area, while in this area I seldom have a signal ? if I do its only a minute or two then nothing. I constantly have the message on the screen ... No service available ... At first I thought it was a problem with my phone until I found out next door had the same problem, since finding out that we have now found out this whole area is the same and everybody is complaining of no signal ? Today while driving around Pattaya I also noticed there was no signal in many places ? has anyone else noticed anything ?

I had an MRI in Udon Thani at the MRI Center downtown on May 14th of this year for 10,000baht. 8,000baht for the scan and 2,000baht for the injection of traceable fluid (can't remember the name of it)
It was for a scan of my right hip, and took about 30 min. inside the machine
Maybe we get Isaan prices up north
Yes I'm sure you are right with your Isaan price. I think the Bangkok Pattaya hospital deserves a separate website all to itself just to handle the complaints of over pricing to the extreme and then some. it's a shame Pattaya does not have a fully equipped hospital without all the marble floors and leather seats but that's going off topic and it's been covered many times before.
Many thanks to the people who have commented here.

Ive been looking at prices of MRI scans on the forum but a lot of it is going back to 2008 prices. I have been quoted 26,000 baht + expenses ? for an MRI scan of the brain in Bangkok Pattaya.
Am I correct in thinking the only other place with MRI facility in Pattaya is International Hospital ?
Also has anyone had an MRI anywhere they would recommend ?

Sorry if this is posted somewhere else but I have not seen it. My question is this. I have owned my condo now for 3 years, I'm sure I have read somewhere that if you keep it for 5 years then when you sell it you can sell it tax free ?
Can some body clarify this and also if possible the estimated tax that would be charged on condo of around 1.2 mil baht.
Thank you for any help.

I know this is a long shot but does anyone know of a lawyer in Bangkok who would be reliable enough to give factual information regarding French law. I know it is doubtful that he would be whiter than white but if he could provide basic information it would be a start.
Thanks for any help.

Yeah your right, it was a bit of a long shot Looks like the French embassy in Bangkok is my next call. Thanks for taking time to reply. Peace man

Could somebody confirm if there is a French notary ( notaire ) a firm responsible for estate administration regarding France in Pattaya ?
Thank you for any help.

Therefore I'm wondering if the population is now sufficiently large and organized as to be able to afford to buy the BIB off.

Good point I think you may well be right.

Now these Africans really are sounding like the Indians in Pattaya. my guess is the Thai government has the same agreement with the Africans that they have with the Pattaya Indians. you never see an Indian having to do a visa run.
That's because many of the Indians in Pattaya are actually Thai citizens.
Yes, I know that but I think the majority of them have the same name and address as the few that are actually Thai citizens

One nasty post has been removed and some, but not all, off-topic posts have been removed.
I seldom get down in the area being discussed. I know there are a number of well-educated Africans in Bangkok and I know several who are teachers--and quite good. I also know that they won't go down in that area at all.
Yes well this is not a racist post against anybody and was never meant to be it was only an observation that was made having not been to Bangkok in years. it could well have been about the increase in any race of people or the increase in stray cats
Runaway boys mostly . Pops , your rascism is no excuse for your limited vocabulary .
You and me both ..... there's no S in racism. lets use our spell checkers from now on onionluke as we do not want people judging our intelligence on our spelling ability do we.

Fish Pond Pump ( What Size ? )
in Plants, Pets & Vets in Thailand
Posted
Thank you for your help, I did see a pump today that was 4,500 liters
an hour and wondered if that would be about right, also I have tried
water plants in the past but the fish would dig them up in next to no
time, what do you think about putting plants in and netting them off
with fine wire so the fish can not get to them ?
