  1. This WD Tv - i cant work out if its actually got a built in hard drive or its just a player?

Ive been looking at apple tv also. I have a macbook. I use the condos wifi not my own. Can i stream movies from my macbook to the apple tv?

Are there like TV packages available in Thailand so i can watch news, documentaries, movies. Or is it strictly pay-per-movie having to mess around with credit card every time i want to watch tv thanksWD tv

WDTV has no HDD. you need to buy one separate.

  2. Any android phone can download thai dictionary from android market.

    Personally I like paiboons dictionary.

Size of the screen will make it easer to increase font sizing.

Different keyboards available from android market. Interchangeable from Thai to english with a swipe of the finger.

Id go with any of the samsung smartphones. Mid range price point

  3. no problems buying high end in paragon then flying out and claiming the 7%

The mark up on Watches in Thailand isn't anywhere near covered by the 7% tax back.

For example: A few years ago I bought a Bell & Ross from Central World - I received a 70,000 baht discount (cost price, friends with shop owner)... Watches in Bangkok usually have a huge markup - If buying high end it often pays to go to Singapore or Hong Kong and get it yourself.

My Wife wants a new watch. Its about 10,000 baht cheaper (25%) in Hong Kong.. as I'm going there in a few months anyway - I'll pick up a Birthday present then....

i was probably generalising but in my particular case ( similar to yours) i did save on the cost of a swiss watch between Paragon and Perth.

I did the math a few months before buying. Id probably use it as an excuse to go to HK though if i was getting another one.

Wifey and Co use HK as their prefered desination for rediculously priced handbags.... sigh

  4. DPO looks like a nice cruisy job. Drinking cups of tea all day... Wish i could turn back time haha

Seriously, though. offshore's not all huge paychecks and holidays in Sth east asia every second month.

"I want a job offshore" isnt going to cut it.

what do you want to do? there's plenty of different fields of work. A better approach would be to

be genuinely interested in a particular field with the goal of career advancement. Just like with a job on the beach.

would you walk up to a factory and say "I want a job in a factory"?

  5. Nua data diow

Moo/Nua Dad Diaw - sun dried and deep fried pork/beef. It's very very good with beer! (cold beer, with ice cubes.....poured by a pretty Thai girl whistling.gif )

Moo Manaw (Boild pork tenderloin, with garlic/Lime/chilli sauce....also very good as a snack, to accompanion a beer or two.

Those two are my favorite ones, for snacks...

    +1

With a bit of sticky rice

  6. Do your wear them perched on the top of your head when you go out at night? To a bar or club?

That's so last century, all the cool kids wear them on the back of their head

Have you watched the movie 'End of Watch'? One of the cops wore them upside down on the back of their head. I've never seen anyone do that in real life.

I see quite a few guys wearing it like that

  7. OP , Thailand is more than Pattaya. A high % of Thai a have degrees. They are so easy to pass or buy here.

I know other highly developed countries 1st world countries too where you could buy 'better prestigious degrees'

These are the most 'educated' experts who migrate and start a super whine & a groan.

A genuinely educated human being from any part of this world does not have to migrate to ANY other country and whine & a groan of THAT countries 'uneducated' - if they do, they are obviously 'lesser educated' than THAT countries 'bought' graduates.

Wow.. and I thought the movie "inception" was a brain twister..
