If you have ever been through this, you'll know that's a ridiculous comment. I've been through this many, many times. Sometimes, it's not easy to get the charges reversed. The worst one for me took over 6 months of dedicated effort.

I have been through it several times with US banks including fraudulent charges made in Thailand. All it ever took was one phone call to get the charges reversed, card cancelled, new card sent out, and an apology. Sometimes they even contacted me first because the charges seemed suspect.

Why should it be any different with Bangkok Bank?

  2. As always, Immigration rules and regulations will vary from office to office. They will be totally ambiguous and without logic. You can quote the official policies until you turn blue, but the officer you're dealing with calls the shots. Hopefully, his hemorrhoids aren't flaring up that day.  Best to just follow the instructions given by your office, and cover your butt.

I would guess that the November date is to confirm that your balance has not gone below 400,000 baht which it can never do.

Given what I am hearing, could this be an anti-virus software problem/cookies/ or specific VPN companies or connections?  Windows version the same (check), using Chrome or another browser that has been successful for some (check).  Would be nice to have what anti-virus software, being used, are cookies on in your browser, and whose VPN (if using one) to try and diagnose.

I have never been able to get it to work. At my most recent in person renewal I asked the officer why. She took my passport, fiddled around on her keyboard, then said everything is correct, but the system just doesn't work for some people. Handed back my passport and said goodbye. ????

  4. I am receiving treatment at Sri Phat hospital and will need future appointments. I live 4 hours away and need to use a wheelchair. I have stayed at Duangtawan Hotel, but would like to know if there are any other hotels near Sri Phat that have wheelchairs for use by guests. So far I've found lots of wheelchair accessible hotels but none that actually have the chairs available.

    Anybody know?

    Thanks.
