so one of them was previously arrested for the same crime? Must not have been much of a punishment if he is at it again. Without any accountability or punishment I expect we will see these two again soon.
Here in Bkk you see these scammer fake monks begging for money all the time. Many of them not even Thai. Give a share to the BIB they will let you do whatever you want on their streets (at least the BIB sell the streets like they think they own them).

So, corporations can sue individuals for defamation when those corporations fail to follow court directives? How crass, self-serving and top-down, low-down despicable can you get? Amazing Thailand.
Amazing Thailand?? Or Amazing everywhere in the world. Banks and corporations are steamrolling the people of just about every country in the world. I hope I live to see the day when they are all put in their places, but I doubt any of us will live that long. Rich gettin richer.

if the BIB would stop vendors from sweeping the food waste into the sewers thus feeding the rats and providing them with the nourishment to breed, this might also help. I am surprised there isn't more of a problem country wide

The 20 families that control Thailand do not want to compete with foreign businesses and risk losing their monopoly. It is starting to look like the Junta is in their pocket with these types of policies. Let's hope they do a 180 and get rid of these protectionist business policies.

how about also seizing the assets of the Gov. officials that were paid off to allow this to happen in the first place. Let's see if any Thais of high standing will really be charged and punished (not just given suspended sentences).

I think it was a typo. They probably mean could face 100 seconds in jail.

Have you noticed that ALL the terrorism in those named countries are from Muslims?
I am not saying all Muslims are terrorists, but it is funny how all terrorists are Muslims.
Try telling that to the IRA, KKK, etc
Really?? The KKK? You will have to bring me up to speed on that one. I have not heard of any terrorist type activities (or any type of activity) from the KKK for decades. Maybe I have been living in Thailand too long and am not able to access any news from the USA so please fill me in on what they have been up to lately.

Hard to go to jail in Thailand for a long time....plenty of pardons, commuted sentences, good behavior reductions, etc., to get most anyone out of prison many years short of the original sentence. This gives many an early opportunity to start working on going back to prison.
Try picking mushrooms at a national park...they throw the book at ya!!!

It is believed that human life began in Africa and migrated out from there. Considering there was a vast community already living in the Americas for centuries. It kind of goes without saying that it was discovered long before Columbus, the Muslims or the the Chinese are making their claims. There was a land bridge from Asia to what is now Alaska. Doesn't take a lot to figure out you could just walk there.
I saw on discovery channel years ago where they traced the DNA of the North American Indians to a specific tribe in Japan (sorry no link to that it was a TV show)

so why aren't more clerics and average moderate Muslims speaking out against these IS guys or any other radical Muslim groups? They all have no problem going ape sh#t when someone draws a cartoon of Mohamed!!! Yes, the odd person may say something sometime but few and far between. They hate infidels, they hate the west, but when the monsters they and their religion create, get too out of hand they want the evil infidels and the west to help them.
If you want help, first start helping yourself against the extremists in your own religion. Then, and only then ask for help from those you hate. How many times will you bite the hand that helps you?

Still a very incredible feat. I am amazed. It is not like trying to land on a smooth surface. I hope they can get it back up and running.

Recommendation #1 - amnesty for all Pheu Thai members???

Gee!! we always got away with it before!! Why you being so difficult about this now??
He is right about one thing though, after they nail the Shin's they need to go after everyone else they can for past crimes against Thailand. Let's start with this droopy clown next!!
He knows that right after Ying goes down that he is probably next anyway (along with Tarit and Chalerm). So definitely in his best interest to work hard to try and defend them.
I would sign a petition to see justice for Yingluck too. I just don't think it will be the same petition he is waving around.

I think this piece of crap deserved it. He was drunk, driving dangerous, resisting arrest. He looked a lot more subdued and respectful after he got the shot (which wasn't that much of a shot as there was not blood and he was walking and able to bow fine afterwards).
I am sure a lot of PC posters will jump on me about this but how many of you same people get on this forum and chastise these same drunken murderers when they run over children and other innocents o the street then run away or are released on bail?
If he ran over your child what would you do to him then? Have a shot of whisky and send him on his way?

again, seize the assets of the caddy and Yingluck as well as all other cabinet ministers, rice millers, and anyone else involved in the scheme as well as their relatives (if the money trail points that way). Use that to payback the tax payers.

Freedom of speech is one thing but I think laws should be put in place to insure responsible journalism as well. Having anyone in the media spewing blatant lies to skew the facts in the hopes of furthering someones agenda should not be tolerated. These people should be responsible for what they say. I remember back in the 70's in North America, there were laws in place like this. Where are they now? There does not seem to be any responsibility in journalism anymore. Who do you trust???

Sad. It always surprises me how you can take some of the smartest and most cunning businessmen from around the world, men that were probably very shrewd in business, bring them to Thailand, wave some ass in front of them, and they all seem to make the stupidest business decisions possible. Unbelievable!!!

whether you think he deserved it or not doesn't really matter. The fact is there was almost a 100% chance this was going to happen if you are stupid enough to say that especially at a HA clubhouse. Personally I would like to see the same thing happen to all of these outlaw gangs too. Just a bunch of punks that need to be taken down.

"No free man shall be seized or imprisoned, or stripped of his rights or possessions, or outlawed or exiled … except by the lawful judgment of his equals or by the law of the land."
Eight centuries in place in England: though often violated, it eventually came true. Thailand is still waiting.
I think America is still waiting too. Easy to display it, try living it!!!
