  1. Will Thailand ever get their act together? They seem to be making it harder here not easier. the rules are getting even stupider.

I understand they are implementing a new policy that if your company is late even a day in submitting SSF, VAT etc. that they will make you leave the country to renew your visa instead of doing in country.

  2. how about making roads the go through instead of snaking around and around with 3 way intersections that give the cross street right of way instead of the roads that is going straight through?

Maybe stop the police from selling the streets and sidewalks to the extortion taxi's and street vendors which clutter up the roads making it impossible to even get down the roads on a motorcycle.

The statistics shows that in 2014 there were 2649 homicides, 24237 traffic related deaths , then you can add all the unreported cases.

I think that would be too much even for Thaivisa.

Yeah thanks for the stats but how many actually showed up on TVF? Bkk reports are just a fraction of what you read about in Pattaya or Phuket yet Bkk is many times larger than those 2 combined, so explain why there are very few reports about these incidents in Bkk.

Yes. It's countrywide. Read through some of the Thai language sites and it is non-stop. Rapes, beatings, murder and robberies. Not to mention the litany of car/bike accidents and killings reported daily on the TV news. It's easy to miss if just reading the farang orientated local Pattaya channels and the BBC.

Ok, I mean why don't you read about it here on TVF?

It's an outdated American expression. Means "free of trouble or problems;" often used in a sarcastic context. The photo in the opening post certainly underlines that latter thought.

Yeah I am fully aware of what it was, I was trying to be funny but I guess it went past you.

They've already clamped down on Soi 11 Sukhumvit. All the great cocktail bar VW Kombi's have long gone. The vendors along Nana stretch of Sukumvit Rd have had hours reduced that they are allowed to trade yet they allow all these pop-up bars. Makes no sense. Anyway many love the street stalls and long may they live and I've never heard of a stall taking a life. Maybe some drunk farang has died stepping into the traffic but that is self inflicted and no fault of the vendors

When is the last time you were on soi 11? Yes when the junta first came in they cleaned up all the VW bars. Go there now, there are sidewalk stalls that place seating well onto the street. Only a matter of time i=until someone eating there is ran over by a car or the never ending cement trucks rolling by. There are more vendors there now than ever. Long may the pedestrians live, get rid of the sidewalk urchins!! The BIB have no right to sell the sidewalks for their own benefit and to the detriment of everyone else. There should be designated areas where people can legally sell their wares. Then they can pay for legit licenses instead of giving cash to corrupt cops.

He must have thought he'd died and gone to heaven having his every word cheered by an audience that didn't challenge anything he said,  laugh at or mock him.

He'll still keep a low profile in Britain for a while though I suspect but people like him need the limelight so he'll resurface sometime.

Are you sure you don't want to include Ying and Takky in that group as well or do you think they are a better class of moron?
