From that message it seems you have a AMD Video Card in your laptop.
Check via this program if there is a newer version of the driver available
problem is that i cant get on the internet cos the screen resolution is so low..
-
the plot thickens.....
rebooted...
get message - screen resolution is very low...
then another...
CCC is not supported by the driver version of your enabled graphics driver..
please up date your amd graphics driver or enable your amd adaptor usings the displays manager...
because the resolution is so low, cant see much on the ccc display..
any ideas on how to increasde the resolution on the display settings ? thats certainly got to help...
at the moment its showing 4 bit colours, whereas before it was 32..

On my Plasma, I just check in the HDMI settings (when PC is connected) "Just Scan" and then the TV sorts it out.
This is on a LG maybe the Sony has the same option
doesnt have that option....pretty certain its something to adjust on the computer......
-
Make sure the TV's input you connect your pc to is set to something like "PC DISPLAY" - it sorts out overscan and resolution problems for TV's that have it.
Also, is the Sony a lower physical resolution than your old tv ? 720p HD Ready perhaps? As opposed to Full HD 1080p....
the settings say hdmi whick is what i clicked on..
yes the new tv isnt as swanky as the old one (last one was samsung series 8 - the new tv is a 2 yr old sony plasma - that said, i had a 3 yr old samsung plasma before and the computer played through it, no problem)..
-
I was going to say it might be a driver issue, but not sure where you'd start.
What make of laptop/TV?
its a compaq desktop...was working perfectly with mt samsung LED (and samsung Plasma before)..
The one in the new house is a sony plasma....
like i said earlier, right click onto properties i cant adjust the resolution / colour (currently shows 4 !) when i go onto number 2 monitor, i can adjust the resolution and the colours to 32, but when i press ok, it just foes back to number 1 monitor....
-
pretty sure its the resolution setting from the computer....
-
different.....
-
Hope someone can help me....
Have my desktop connected to my tv (via HDMI lead) for a year or so - no problems...
Have today moved house, connected the hdmi lead into the TV and the resolution has gone to pot...
ive right clicked onto properties and monitor 1 shows 4 colours andwont allow me to move the slider to change the resolution - ive clicked on monitor 2 and i can adjust the colours to 32 and slide the resolution, but it doesnt then acknowledge it..
any ideas ?
i tried to click on the CCC but the resolution is so bad, i can hardly see it.
Any help greatly appreciated.

From today's Daily express:
The organisation was also blasted for delivering a “shamefully poor” service to the estimated 5.6 million Britons living abroad since it took over responsibility for processing overseas passport applications from the Foreign Office.

When they are at it I hope they will something about 2nd road as ThaiBob said, man it's a bumpy ride.
The roads are completely overloaded with big heavy tourist buses all dag long which wear them down very quickly.
ahh, now you've got me - i thought it was the Pattaya stage of the paris dakar rally...
Was just about to get myself an enduro bike...

Ridiculous, in my book when he could have been on here moaning and whinging............

Bottom of the soi, just past 7/11........

I'm game for meeting up, what kind of distances do you like to do? I'm next to Tonys on Soi Siam.
The furthest i've been is Ban Chang, so i suppose that counts as "fairly local".....

so guys, finally able to ride a benelli 600 inline four!
A friend of mine have it and gave me a tour to check if the bike and tires are OK.
the bike was bought recently maybe 4-5 months ago and it was at 6000 km.
My objective impressions:
To be honest, I am surprised a bit as i was expecting a much more worse bike.
Engine: it runs well. But below 5000 rpm, engine is very very glitchy and hard to roll on from first gear! above that it is OK, sure feel less powerful that honda. It sure has some fueling issues but not a torture, also it is not crisp. Hondas fueling of course very smooth and crisp.
Tranny: Clunky a bit, cannot compare with honda trannies but still does the job just fine.
Suspension: This is where this bike suffers a bit. Front suspension is noisy and and rear does not hold the ground although it has adjustable upside down thicker forks and more adjustable and thicker shock still hondas standard non adjustable ones are much more better! Although suspensions are adjusted. ( Note: Honda's suspensions was even better than yamaha mt 09, again very honestly)
Brakes: Brakes are fine. do the job. still hondas two caliper ones works better somehow.
Chassis: Totally OK. bike is balanced and no problems.
Fit and finish, quality: That is where this bike suffers again. hard to follow instrumentation, some very bad vibrations from the front of the bike mainly from instrument cluster and headlight. fit and finish is really not good.
Comfort: Totally fine. upright ergonomics and comfy and stitched nice looking seat.
Tires: Metzeller Interacts, good grip but can be better. similar with the stock dunlop sportmax of 650 series.
Fuel Economy: My friend said around 6 liters. but he is new on bikes so for spirited rides, not sure how it fares.
Bike weight: although 210 kg something, bike felt very light to me.
Looks: It looks OK. But its rear end with two triangular pipe caps, it looks again good.
Still, i was expecting a lot worse bike, no balance, immense vibrations and bad chassis but these were not the case. it is a proper bike with lower quality components than Honda. not a death trap.
But my friend added a couple of glitches; temp light comes often on hot days in Bangkok which is something very major and some shaky parts. temp light on my honda never comes alive. not even ones so far for 11,500 km.
Also he said, he did a long Isaan tour alone with it and bike never gave him a trouble.
Overall, when i compare this bike with a similarly priced honda cb650f, cb650f rules at every section, very honestly.
now, only problem of this Benelli 600 cc inline four is its price. Nearly same as honda cb650f and my friend also bought it bc honda cb650f had 3 months waiting list that time.
if they sell this Benelli at 199 k thb for example, it becomes a very good value right away. but for 265 k thb something while honda cb650f is around 285 k thb, it is hard to sell - and buy - this bike.
And, Benelli sounds much more better than my honda cbr650f! That was really surprising! close your eyes and it sounds like a much more expensive bike. Mine is sounding like diesel
but i like it too!

LL2 does the test rides, so you don't have to...well done fella......

... please beware with false sales pitches of 60/90 year leases in Thailand.
You mean "please beware with any property transaction of any type in Thailand".
Property in Thailand is an endless stream of lies, deceit, half-truths and misrepresentation.
but, other than that, its ok ?

and the CB 286
What planet are you on ?

and no i don't get pay by BIKERS
here is what i had on my cbr250r.
just to give you and others an example on how nice these parts are looking! but certainly quality does not come cheap.
Beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder....
I'd rather be dragged through the streets of BKK by my hair than put that stuff on my shiny new CB300F...
Reminds me of that fat bird's handbag off "My big fat Gypsy Wedding".
And don't get me started on aftermarket noisy pipes.
me likey! like colorful shiny aluminum bits maybe by staying too much in Thailand
Maybe you're a Magpie ?

I don't think Honda's are better quality wise than Kawasaki, it's about the same man.
Going on the recent platforms available locally, I think all acknowledge Kawasaki as being far better quality wise.
The 250sl is a new platform, which I don't think has been tested in another bike, unless they've taken it from the KLX!
The CBR comes from the CBR250 which has been reportedly less reliable compared to the Kawasaki small motorcycles.
You and your mate Mania are beginning to sound like "the boys who cried Woolf" - keep harping on about Kawa being better than Honda...
Remember what happened in the end ? No one listened.....
I'm already there....
