"You are vaguely referring to "combination method". Some offices permit.
Would help if you provide more detail.
I asked for pp country as some embassies provide income letter.
Can you place 800k baht into your Thai bank account? "
Not for me - a Brit pal living in pattaya - doesn't have 800k - can the "combined" method be used ?
Already has a retirement extension - don't via an agent who sort the finances ...
-
1) You're on a tourist visa, over 60 and just received your first months pension from your home country and have thai bank statement showing it - if you multiply the amount by 12 - it exceeds the 800,000 baht requirement ..
Is this enough to apply for a retirement visa ? (or do they insist on 12 payments going into the bank ? )
2) - a 60 year old has 12 months bank statements showing total pension received of 500,000 baht - with a further 300,000 baht cash in the bank - is this acceptable to renew a retirement extension ?
TIA ...

You think you got problems ....
Today, my Thai lady went to the 20b shop on the Naklua Road (removing her shoes on entry, as per the sign on the door)...
When she got out - someone had stolen them ....

have you tried checking the tyre pressures ?
not unknown for the shops to super over inflate them...
in my experience (with correctly inflated tyres), the ADV 160's suspension is pretty good ....

If those are your only choices go for the Fiesta. Good little car. Early MGs - circa that time especially - were reknowned for poor quality. They are much much better now but I wouldn't trust a 2015 model personally.
Personal opinion only, I am not necessarily right at all.Fiesta's of this age were fitted with the "power shift" gear box - There were so many problems with the gear box, clutch pack and the black box that controls them, that Ford changed 1,000's of them under warranty and were subject to Class actions in Thailand, USA and Australia ....
One expert said "it's not a case of if there will be a problem but when..."
Personally i'd stick clear of Fiesta, Focus and Ecosport between 2012 and 2016 after which Ford used a different gearbox.
So - I'd got for the MG - pretty decent spec for the price ...

For what it is worth, i ordered one from Mitiyon in Pattaya exactly 2 months ago. Price on the order is 200k. Said would arrive in 2 months. Called me Dec 26 (1 month) so went to the shop only to find that it was NOT the model i ordered.
list price from Honda is 181.900 baht.....plus 2,100 baht registration = 184,000 "out the door" .....

over the last month i have rented / borrowed from mates, A Forza 350, X Max 300 and ADV 350 - all for a minimum of a day, and all in different road / riding conditions.....
My conclusion was:
Last place - Forza 350, just felt like i was riding a boat, didn't feel confident round bends, didn't like the look of the clocks, the 3rd rate suspension nor those awful rubber coated bars .
2nd Place - Yamaha X max, boat like as the Forza better round bends better than the Forza, but far from brilliant, suspension betther than the forza but you really have to upgrade. Clocks didn't do it for me nor did the rubber coated bars...
Winner - Honda ADV 350 - Just has a lovely vibe about it - more like you're riding an auto motorbike than a scooter, good round bends (well for a scooter) - suspension would knock the other 2 into next week. Has propper "wide bar" handle bars, a lovely upright commanding riding position and an ADV style instrumment pannel.
So 11 days ago, went to the Honda scooter dealers, to find out about availability and price.....
was told about 3-4 months wait, but the sales lady said she would "see what she could do" ...
So placed a 10k deposit and prepared for a long wait ....
This morning (christmas day) got a message (and photos) from the dealers - "your bike has arrived and can collect tomorrow" (26th) ....

I found an almost new car, 11k/month. I have an international permit, UK licence and local licence ????
Whoever you use - Make sure the car has proper "rental insurance" ...
A lot of the cheaper rental deals are advertised with "Class 1 insurance" - but a standard a Class 1 policy EXCLUDES hire & reward (ie rental) - If you rent a car with this type of insurance and there is a serious crash, the policy could be voided and, as the driver, you'll get roped into huge financial problems...
Ensure you look for a renter with proper cover - Then check their insurance documents - You are looking for a "120" clause, plus a note that the use is for "hire or rental purposes"..... Be very very careful ...

Went to my local dealers today to check out the new Honda ADV 350 "urban racer edition" - A limited edition to get the model off to flying start ....
I looked inside the "yoshimura" silencer and thought there is no way that can be road legal - I told the salesman my concerns, but he assured me that it was road legal - It is exactly how it was delivered from Honda, and the same as the advertising promo stuff - no way would the manufacturers sell a new bike that wasn't 100% road legal ....
Synical me looked for a "TIS" stamp, but there wasn't one ....
Someone who has bought one of the first ones registered, concerned about the noise, has taken it to his local MOT test centre for a DB test .... (legal limit is 95DB) .....
Imagine shelling out 200,000 baht for your brand new shiny bike and 100m down the road from the dealers getting a tug by the rozzers with a db tester, who take great pleasure in confiscating the bike and crushing the exhaust ....
